Dvo said he would be back between 5-6 cost and would like to try to schedule the game for tonight.

I responded with 715ish CST. Assuming his availability is The same as he said today it should work.
 
I know we've talked about this before, but i want to bring it up again, as it seems for the last 4-5 weeks we've been waiting 24 hours for "one game"....

Proposal:
1.We Attempt to move at a 2 day or at a MAX of a 2 1/2 day Advancement.

2. If One side attempts to reach the other, and side B doesn't respond within 36 hours, Side A plays a Sub.

It's just getting a tad ridiculous. I understand schedules, but not bothering to respond to pm's..... you might need to reevaluate you're wanting to play in this league.

I believe it'd be in the best interests of the league (the faster we go, the longer it stays "fun") to move to something like this...so we don't peater out at the end of this season.

Honestly, the bigger issue is people who don't follow the thread (which goes hand in hand with not answering PM's). The "have so and so contact so and so" routine is stupid. If this is supposed to be a community league, people should participate in the community. Speeding up the advancement isn't going to help with that. Unless the league wants to take a hard look at cutting dead weight, that's just going to make the issue worse.

Also, you have to consider when an advancement is done on a weekend, most people probably have more time to get their game in right away. I know that was the case for me. But advancing in the middle of the work week wouldn't be as easy to schedule immediately.
 
I'm rarely the one that gets my games skipped, but the time it happened to me it sucked. Having said that, waiting around for a day or two for ONE game is silly.

We should just have some kind of plan for when only one game is left and it will extend the advancement period over 24 hours.

P.S. Cardinals vs. Skins will happen tonight.

When we set the deadline as Tuesday, we can't really expect people to play sooner than that.

Ok. Professor set the deadline to tuesday. that means i have until 11:59pm on tuesday to play my game/turn in my homework. SWEET.

You also must take into account time zone differences. It can sometimes be a pain in the ass trying to schedule games with a 3 hour time difference.
 
Just start tallying who is consistently waiting until the last day to play. If it there is a pattern there, talk to them. If it continues, it may be time to go.

Please confirm once you hear back. Obviously the earlier the better (including if it turned out you can get it in late tonight). If the scenario above holds, we will advance around 9:15PM EST tomorrow, so I encourage everyone to go ahead and start scheduling your games.

yea u take away the runs off tackle and ur big guy (s) in the middle jus take over, and u also just picked perfect times to blitz up the middle when i was running up the middle. i tried to catch u offguard with run plays on passing downs but ur guys we eatin shit up...my o-line gets me in trouble some times too, they can dominate sometimes it seems, but they get tired very fast....that was def the best connection weve had too it was flawless. it really became a kenny britt vs andre johnson show, difference was u could pick up those yards on the ground when u needed them most, and i couldnt
 
the best thing to do is to at least set a general time right after advancing...its pointlesss to exchange pm's saying "yea ill let you know" or "cant play today" or anything like that, then before u know it its advancement day n ur scurryin to get ur game in. just set a time off the bat and post it in the thread, even if the time isnt 100% certain to work, that way if somethin does pop up u have at least a day to reschedule without holding anything up. thats my biggest petpeve...pointless pms that go nowhere

im all for the 2 day advancement, but completing a week of games in 48 hours isnt going to happen too often....we should all plan to advance in two days like we said before that way if we have to add a lil extra time is no biggie...

Eagles Raiders set tomorrow at 730 CST. Sorry guys I reached out in 3 different mediums the day we advanced. He finally hit me back late this afternoon and I had plans this evening. While sometimes I agree that the advance takes to long, I believe the timeline is adequate. Seems impatience is taking over (in the other league I could usually get my games in The day of advance) so I can understand the want to move forward but 2 days is a little quick in my opinion because life gets in the way every now and again.

As soon as the game is over tomorrow I'll post as fast as I possibly can so we can advance. Look around 815-30cst.
 
Ah don't worry about it, nobody will get too bent out of shape over it.

Good to see another guy in the league that posts in the thread and communicates effectively.

If the two of you can work out an earlier time, that's fine. Otherwise we'll have someone sub for you at the already agreed-upon time. Can you leave the franchise before you go if you're not able to play it sooner?
