Madden 13 Official CAG League - On Hiatus. See you in August for Madden 25!
It definitely should be, and we do consider that. But the difference between "Superstar" and "Fast" development isn't anywhere close to what the difference between "A" and "B" potential was in Madden 12.

Von Miller has Superstar for example, and while he does earn higher XP it's not a world-shattering amount of difference.
thats not true if you use the player and he plays well he will progress a lot Thompson went from a 69 to 76 without a superstar trait....RG3 will go up alot

You're agreeing with my point, mog. I said that having superstar or not doesn't make a huge difference to player development, and your player is a perfect example. Yes, if you use a player and he plays well he will progress, that's obviously true. I didn't say otherwise. That's true for every player, Superstar status only gives a modest boost. So RGIII's advantage purely in terms of advancement over someone like Kaeparnick is only marginal.

Trade Approved

I was right on the fence with this one, since I didn't quite understand the Arizona part of it. I'm satisfied with Chetty's rationale though. I think Atlanta is winning big, but the deal did fall within the "owners prerogative" margin for me.

Good luck putting this monster through.
Why am I not surprised? ;)
Well I thought it was going to be complicated so I figured I'd try to figure it out early, especially if we had to add to the the trade I wanted to be prepared. It kind of just all fit together though.
I'll be curious to see if anyone signs this first round.

Antoine Cason is a popular fellow.
The people with only one team interested will most likely be the people who sign right away.

The one thing I did notice about the trades/cuts, is that the cap penalties seem to be stuffed into 2013. Last season when you traded or cut someone, the cap penalty was spread between 2012 and 2013.

You'll want a new owner for the jags before fa is done. Just looked and several players that weren't fa left. The roster is pretty barren with 38 total players.

We definitely want a new owner, or at least someone to stand in to do the FA process for them. I offered them to Darth, but he's not gotten back to me. We could also give them to mog's friend if he makes a CAG account.

This game is so dicked. Last week after I acquired Bart Scott it reported I had 12 million in cap room in the strategy tab and my rookie reserve was at 6.XX million. The FA section said I had 4 million in FA space.

Now I have 1.8 million in the FA screen, 9 million on the strategy tab and 5.8 million in the rookie tab.

K. We'll review this now.
Does anyone know if the order of the team icons on the offers page indicate which way a guy is leaning? Or is it random?
Idk about now, but in the first round of free agency they were showing up in the order of when the offers were made.

i think its the guy they are leaning to but who knows with madden lol

Hey, I am currently in the Gentleman's league. Not exactly sure if I could compete in this league (6-5 current, 4-1 in my last five)But if you need someone to stand in for the Jags in the FA/Draft. Let me know. I am more than happy to do it.

That'd be great. Could you send siradam134 a PM, he can set you up.

Ugh, if only you had responded quicker. Just kidding. I will do that, and hopefully I can make something of them.

Edit: They still have MJD, right?

Hopefully, they're in pretty rough shape. I think they lost both starting corners.

Yes, MJD is still there.
btw this upcoming season will FA be more open because of how tight some owners budgets are? just a question
Realized I never answered this. The answer is probably. We're not 100% sure yet, but I think it's very likely it will be much more lax going forward now that everyone will have had a crack at the full FA pool. Exact details still to be determined, stay tuned.
Does anyone know if the order of the team icons on the offers page indicate which way a guy is leaning? Or is it random?
I think its just random I just did my FA offers right before we advanced and some of mine are last and some are first.

Alright, I have taken control of the Jags. For some reason I cannot sign FAs or Scout yet. I assume I will be able to do that once we advance.
Signed up on the Browns. ...my god.

Looks like I can only do trades at the moment. I assume FA signing will start soon for me?
Yes. Hopefully you should both be able to do so after the next advance. Make sure you're not on auto-pilot as well.

FA signings will open up after we advance. They lock it/don't give you the option for whatever reason if you've just joined between advancements.

Did anyone accept contracts yet?

Yes, some did. Nobody huge, but some guys did sign.

Austin Howard and David Buehler signed with you.

Thanks for the update. My friends picked a bad weekend to get married. They should've known it would be the Madden FA period!!

Buehler - Kicker of the Year! Glad he wasn't hotly sought after that award. Hopefully his xp carries over, I was working on his kick power.

I've yet to figure out how to tell my fiance we can only get married during the narrow window of the Madden offseason. :D
