Madden 13 Official CAG League - On Hiatus. See you in August for Madden 25!

Just pre-ordered my game. Do we have a day or week that we are planning to start the league?

I have a bunch of great games this season including Mog Week 2, Sprice Week 6, MA Week 12 and Bseti Week 16.

Can't wait.

Nope. I'd count on it being at least a couple weeks after release though, to give everyone time to get the game and also to get the roster update (assuming there is one).

I'll also be on vacation the week following release, so don't count on it starting before I'm back. ;)

that works for me considering i wont be back until september 22nd but i will have the game the day its comes out thats for sure. but theres a chance i might not even deploy now so i guess it might not matter to me when we start either way
 
I don't see any reason we shouldn' start as soon as the preseason in real life is complete. That should give us a week 1 roster update and I think we should be good to go with that. First NFL game is Sept. 5, one week and one day after release. I say we aim for Monday September 3. Unless there are extenuating circumstances and a large sect of the members don't have the game by then.

I won't be back in town until the 5th or 6th. I hate to claim executive privilege, but I think that's extenuating enough. :D

Ultimately it'll be up to yourself, uber and siradam...but I'm sure either of them would handle league business admirably in your absence as they've done before. You could always play your game on the 5th or 6th, upon your return.

Price to trade him? I can't imagine there's any way I'd do that unless I was getting a really great QB back. Probably not even then. He basically is that offense until I build it up a bit.

No doubt they're more than capable, but the plan all along has been to wait about two weeks (which is what we've done in the past based on when the roster comes out) before we start. That's part of the reason I scheduled the vacation when I did. I know everyone is rearing to go (so am I) but we're going to be playing this game for the better part of the next year, waiting a few extra days isn't going to kill us.

There's been some talk of a kickoff tournament after the game comes out to help get people in the swing of things while we wait for the roster update. Hopefully that will hold people over.

Nothing I can do about that. He's signed for a few years, so hopefully he's my QB for at least the first portion of the franchise. It'll certainly be something that's in the forefront of my mind when trading/drafting though.

I agree. And we dont know if everything will be working correct. Didn't we end up starting in late Sept last season because the online roster didn't receive a day 1 update?

I would say the week of Sept 10 should work.

We started September 15th last year, so more than two weeks after release. I've been saying all along that it will likely be something in that range again, so any earlier will be a bonus.

I'm serious about doing a pre-season tournament as well, though obviously someone else will have to organize it.
 
so how does the season ticket pass work. i understand that u ge tthe game 3 days early until the game is released. but as for the madden packs do u get them all that day or whats the deal or how does that work exactly. i didnt even do MUT last year but it seems to be pretty popular so just curious of how it all works and everything

I had it last year and Im debating about it last year it allows you to download the full game this Friday and have full functionality up until release day of game, You also get to download Fifa 2013, Tiger Woods 14, and NHL. early when the time comes. I play Fifa also so I might get the Season Ticket. As far as for the packs for ultimate team Im not sure if they are available right away or not.

Hmmm, I think I am going to pass for $25. Not that big into MUT, and the only other game I would play would be FIFA.

Ya it was beating me on all-madden when I was playing with the redskins. Not so much when I was playing with the 49ers or Giants though.
 
i having a hardass time doing user catch with my wideouts this year and on defense when i switch to a DB they slow down and get burnt by the wideout or when i go to catch the ball nothing. i have only one user INT and one user catch with my wide out and last year user catch with a wide out was my go to thing. but it seems once i switch to my wide out and run to the ball that he goes all crazy and no where close to where i want him to go

yea i noticed my wrs dropping easy balls for some reason... the swat button doesnt seem to work and they throw right in front of my linebackers and catch it everytime.. my defense never tackles on first ht
 
ya mine never tackle on first hti either its usually a gang tackle if its the first hit that takes them down
 
has anyone heard about injuries this year if they will be less current and often. and wont always be the same injury all the time.

also curious about weather is it always going to rain for certian teams at home all the time everytime like last year with the jags, pats and whoever else had this issue

Every time I play the demo somebody get's hurt and is out for the game.

looks like the jags owner needs to shut his mouth before he runs that team to the ground completely. looks like mjd wants to be traded and would be very open to the idea of being traded
maybe the falcons will trade turner for mjd :) lol

places i could really see him going though

broncos
cardinals
saints
lions

these teams all need actual RBs
and i think if the lions get him well i think sprice can give u the answer to how well that works out

Yeah those three teams can afford him. I'd go for Cincy if they can work out a deal. They've really improved on paper.

detroit can do anything they need to do to win... theres a way around the salary cap im sure plus i would have to tradr talent for talent...

Yea right judging by the way this game plays you are gonna be a problem, me and Ramesu have played about ten times and the shit my team seems weak against are Sprice type plays lol
