Denver Broncos 42 - New Orleans Saints 14
The Broncos traveled south to the Super Dome to take on a Saints team which figured to provide a tough test for this great Denver D. They proved more than up to the task, while their own offense had no trouble moving the ball (at least until Mark Sanchez came in) in a solid win for the team.
Brock Osweiler had another fantastic game, compiling a perfect QB rating in going 8 of 10 for 127 yards, 4 TDs and 0 INT. His stats were somewhat limited by the lopsided nature of the game, but he was on target all day and throwing 4 TDs is very out of character for him.
Brees was 9 of 20 for 159 yards, 1 TD and 3 INT.
McFadden sparkled in this one, carrying 12 times for 193 yards and 2 TDs (both of the home run variety). His one blemish was a fumble near the red zone, though that was mostly on me for juking into a hit stick while trying to make something out of nothing. McGahee got most of the second half work, carrying 14 times for 30 yards.
Sproles lead the Saints with 6 carries for 48 yards and 1 TD. He was effective, but being behind forced the Saints to mostly rely on the pass.
Demaryius Thomas did the most damage with 3 catches for 88 yards and 2 TDs. Erik Decker and Vincent Jackson each scored as well.
Jimmy Graham had 3 catches for 61 yards, while Colston scored the TD.
The Broncos got 2 more sacks from Von Miller, one a strip sack (the Saints recovered, though it had been on 4th down anyway). Jaron Archer also added one, as those two continue to pile up the sacks. Joe Mays had 2 big interceptions over the middle, while Rahim Moore also had one on a deep ball early.
The Saints didn't do much on D, but did get a nice FF from Curtis Lofton which Roman Harper was able to scoop up.

gg neworlbush!
Broncos move to 12-2 and stay in the conversation for the top seeds in the AFC. Very nice to see such a strong performance out of my passing game, with the running game going well as always. If I get both phases going at once, this team looks a lot less defense-oriented.
Up next is a trip to Tennessee followed by a home game with the Panthers (where I try to finish off a perfect 8-0 home record).
