Madden 13 Official CAG League - On Hiatus. See you in August for Madden 25!

You have to have at least a bit of asshole in you to run one of these things. If it was Commissioners Bert and Ernie, these savages would eat them alive.

After reading over the rules for a 4th time and being contacted via pm by people who actually care I wanted to apologize to the forum for taking his scoring in the fourth as a sign of running it up...I never wanted action done I just wanted to point out I felt slighted...and my post were never to say he wasn't a good player. ..he was extremely good and with that said I consider this topic over

And people wonder how I do it myself, lol ;)

As an outsider to this situation though, I'd just like to highlight a point that was brought up, but didn't really seem to register. Scoring in the 4th quarter =/= running up the score. You have to at least try to look at it objectively if you're on the losing side. When your opponent has the ball, he has few options to keep the clock moving and end the game. And short of kneeling three times and punting (the absurdity of which was mentioned), running the ball is all that can really be expected.

You still have to play defense. You still have to make smart play calls for your own part. And you still have to keep the clock moving yourself. The rule against running up the score is not to give you a better chance of coming back in the game. It's a means of waving the white flag and allowing the game to end in a manner that is respectful to both parties. But it most certainly is a two way street, and you can't blame your opponent for scoring more points if you continue giving him the ball back with short fields.

Also, obviously, this is an isolated incident, and I don't think anyone will judge you for it (it's happened to us all), but boasting about averaging 400 yards rushing one week, and complaining about someone "running up the score" in a 35-24 game the next week is not going to endear you to the community. I think it takes everyone a bit of time to adjust to playing in a full league and interacting with 31 other personalities (more for those playing in both leagues), but it would probably serve you well to take a breath and not make big waves as a new member. First impressions and all that, ya know.

Alright, thanks. Hopefully we can get it in tomorrow, though that sounds like a pretty narrow window.

Browns 24 - Vikings 0

The Cleveland Browns (3-0) continued their winning ways by knocking off the Vikings at the Dog Pound. The Browns were without star WR Trent Platt for the first full game and the team simply did not miss a beat. It was certainly a team effort in this one as the defense only gave up 118 yards to the Vikes. Peyton and the passing game chipped in with 141 yards through the air while the running game racked up a season high 146 yards.

Peyton Manning last season had a very rough season but finds himself in the grove early this year. Manning leads all QB's with a 75% completion percentage as well as QB rating with a 140.1. The Browns defense has also only yielded 21 points through the teams first 3 games. Last year the Browns gave up the most points in the league.

Game Recap:

The game started off fairly slow as the Vikings were forced to punt early to the Browns after getting the ball on the opening kick off. The Browns responded quickly on the strength of a Trent Richardson rushing TD to take the early 7-0. Fast forward to the second quarter when Trent Richardson scampered in for the 11 yard TD run for his second of the game. After another Vikings punt, the Browns came knocking on the door once more on the heels of Peyton Manning to Antonio Bryant for the the 21 yard TD pass. This closed out the half with the Browns leading 21-0.

The second half was for very uneventful other than a last attempt rally by the Vikings which was stalled at the Browns 30 yard line. The Browns put away a FG early in the 4th quarter to seal the victory. The win did cost Cleveland something though as Chad Greenway injured himself in the 4th quarter. He will now miss the next 4 weeks.

Trent Platt is set to return soon as he only has 3 weeks left to heal after the conclusion of this week. Lucky for the Browns, they have their bye coming up right after next weeks date with the Bengals.

Browns Stats

Peyton Manning - 7/9, 141 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT's

Trent Richardson - 20 carries, 85 yards, 2 TD's
Troy Franklin - 2 Carries, 57 yards

D'Antwone Baltimore - 3 Receptions, 76 yards

Enoch Williams (DE) - 3 Tackles, 3 Tackles for a loss, 1 Sack,

Vikings Stats

Sam Bradford - 7/19, 72 yards, 0 TD's, O INT's

Stevan Ridley - 13 carries, 49 yards

Nick Barnett (LB) - 7 Tackles, 1 Tackle for a loss,

Next week the Browns face off against their division rival; the Bengals. Last year the Bengals swept the season match up but both games were decided by less than 10 points.

Hey, check your PMs. I think you have confused me with the Colts owner. I am the Jags. The reason I set up a game time was because I was laying in bed and had assumed we had advanced (Or were advancing soon). I am actually playing the Chiefs next week.

Yea my bad I made a mistake smh

Sounds like the Chargers only have the next couple hours in which they can play, and I won't be home until around 2. Hopefully we can squeeze it in.

Denver Broncos 28 - San Diego Chargers 7

The Broncos were able to beat the Chargers for the 2nd time in 2 weeks, but this one was much more competitive than last time, mostly owing the the Chargers diversifying their gameplan much more than the 1st time. The Broncos D still forced some key turnovers and their offense was efficient, but the Chargers are definitely heading in the right direction.

Osweiler was 10 of 14 for 158 yards, 3 TDs and 1 INT. He also picked up a key 1st down with his legs early, something he doesn't do often.

Hurns was 10 of 18 for 65 yards, 1 TD and 3 INTs.

McFadden carried 18 times for 93 yards, in only a so-so performance from him. More of a chain-moving day than explosive.

Mathews carried 11 times for 65 yards.

Demaryius Thomas did the bulk of the damage, catching 3 balls for 88 yards and 2 TDs. McFadden had the other receiving TD.

Mathews lead the Chargers with 4 catches for 34 yards, while Marco Profit had the lone TD.

With the Chargers not throwing 30+ times this game, it wasn't the sackapalooza the first game was, though Archer still managed to grab one. Joe Haden had a pick six to open the scoring, McCourty grabbed a pick in the endzone, and Joe Mays got one that sealed the win.

The Chargers got a sack from Austin Watson and a pick from Kenny Phillips.

gg Cheesy! Definitely nice to see you diversifying the attack. Like I said last time, that all-pass offense was never going to work for you. Good luck the rest of the way!

I'd like to advance as early as possible tonight since I'm sure many people will be busy tomorrow. I'm going to say around 8PM EST unless we hear that one of these games is scheduled for later than that.

I will most likely be back on 4/1 instead of 4/2 (not April Fools joke) so whoever plays me week 4 could at least wait until Monday night to play the cpu if I dont get in touch with them before then.

We've advanced. Sorry about that. left my house at 9 am and didn't come back until now...Spent all day at my families Easter party. Much Booze was consumed. Good Times.

Bucs 28 Bills 13

Bucs started off hot then couldn't do anything in the second half of the game. Bills got a couple lucky picks but also a couple nice ones, But the Bucs D managed to keep control of the game. The Bucs also recovered a fumble the Bills should of got like 6 times lol.

Freeman 251 yards 3 TD 4 INT
Smith 81 yards
Waker 105 yards while Hill was the redzone beast with 3 TD
Ramos 2 INT while Bass and Carter added another INT each with Carter taking his to the house.

Czaplewski 253 yards 1 TD 4 INT
Spiller 66 yards 1 TD
Butler 96 yards while Tyson added the TD
Byrd 2 INT with Sheppard and Cason added one INT as well.

GG Ramesu we both played an ok game nothing special just was in my favor. Look forward to playing you again sometime.
