Denver Broncos 34 - Houston Texans 7
The Broncos hosted the Texans in their last game before the bye, and finally got their running game going as designed, racking up big yards on the ground to defeat the visitors. Other than a last second TD by Andre Johnson in the first half (which was giving me unpleasant flashbacks to the infamous playoff loss to Doom), the defense was stout once again.
Osweiler was 8 of 9 for 131 yards, 2 TDs and 0 INT (finally protecting the ball like usual after throwing an INT in each game so far).
Flacco was 4 of 10 for 98 yards, 1 TD and 3 INTs.
McFadden carried 23 times for 183 yards and 2 TDs before yielding late, with McGahee carrying 8 times for 30 and Seaver 2 times for 19.
Arian Foster was effective on limited touches, carrying 6 times for 37 yards, but the score forced the ball out of his hands.
VJax had 2 catches for 71 yards and a TD, while Demaryius Thomas had 3 for 53 and a TD.
Andre Johnson did all the damage for the Texans, catching 3 balls for 97 yards (most of them on 2 big plays to end the half).
The Broncos got 2 sacks from (who else?) Jaron Archer and 1 from Von Miller. Picks by Moore, Haden and Williams.
The Texans didn't turn the Broncos over, but Brian Cushing did rack up 9 tackles, including 2 for a loss.

gg Deuce! Like I said, it was pretty obvious you're rusty, so I'm not going to feel too emboldened by this one. Still nice to get the win.
Broncos move to 4-1 heading into their bye (which I sorely need, even if they don't). In first place for now, but some tough games coming out of the bye for sure, including both games against the Chiefs still to play.
