Madden 13 Official CAG League - On Hiatus. See you in August for Madden 25!
I've seen that done before. I had a chance for the stop and used them wisely in my mind.
Not legitimate in my eyes. Agree to disagree I guess.

You had no business winning that game, Doom. You can say whatever you want. Between your opening 80-yard drive and the final Hail Mary I held you to 10 total offensive yards. Ten.

When you can absolutely dominate a game like that and still get Maddened by a fucking prayer ball when your defender is right in the guy's hip pocket, it's not worth it any more. You've played in enough fucking Super Bowls, this was my best chance and this is what happened. That's Madden making it loud and clear that it's not worth it for me to keep playing this stupid game.

I'm not quitting because of anything you did. You threw the pass you were supposed to throw. You're better than me, you're going to win 9 out of 10 times we play. On a day when I was better than you, I still lost in the most heartbreaking way possible. You win so much, you couldn't possible understand what that's like, but it's god damned devastating. Even if I were to stay in the league, there's no chance I'll ever get over losing that game. All the fun disappeared for me.
Hopefully you think over your decision.
I'll give myself the same advice I give uber every time he tries to quit and sleep on it. I really doubt I'm going to be able to muster the energy to get over that though, I've never been so crestfallen by a game of Madden ever.

Losing 45-0 would be infinitely better than this.

Pretty much how I felt after the consecutive disconnects against Mog. I knew there was no way I'd win again and played like it. Having a chance to be up by 14 going into the 4th against the SB champ was awesome and then his connection flakes again and I pretty much gave up. It is absolutely devastating, though losing on a hail mary would probably be worse.

Sleep on it for sure BV.

When I can't even appreciate the irony of my season ending on the exact same play as the real Broncos playoff collapse, you know the joy is gone. Although it was Joe Haden instead of Rahim Moore this time. If I do stay, Haden may have played his last game as a member of the e-Broncos*.

*That is not an invitation to send me trade offers.
It's been fun guys, but I think I've played my last Madden game. When it makes you cry, it's not worth it. Thanks for a great league, fellas.
Did you really cry?
Did you really cry?
Yes. It was the most devastating loss I've ever taken by a factor of ten. If you're so invested in a game that it makes you feel like that, it's time to step back. It's to the point where I don't even think I could look at a Madden game without replaying this one on a loop in my head. I'll never get over losing that game, and if it's going to sap the joy out of playing for me (which I really think it could) then it's not worth it to keep going. We'll see, like I said I'll sleep on it.

Wow sorry it ended that way for you.

Man that really sucks bv, I know exactly how you feel (was way into halo 3 but don't want to bore you with the story but just haven't been able to get back into the series). I hope you can get over it and continue to have some semblance of fun when you play.

Bv I know ur gonna say it don't matter because I have a Superbowl Anyway but if it makes u feel better let me tell u how my 2 losses these past to seasons came down. In the Superbowl under 2 minutes left vs mog he's blitzing everyone try in to get the ball back Stafford fumbles at his 20... he throws back to back bombs that were dropped picks and then drives 80 yards to win.... against cru I was up 15 my wrs beat his press and I thru it right away and his cb picked it off lol how is that possible? Then as he's catching up I got 2 strait 3 and outs due to locker fucking up throws one being a beat press TD ... same thing 2 min cru is driving with 34 seconds left on my 30 throws to moss one on one my cb has position but moss catches it and doesn't even get tackled in the end zone after my guy was already in position for the pick... it happens to everyone this madden in my opinion chooses who wins and loses... but where u made ur mistake is pressing aj ... my mistake was not running the clock up 15 and trying to put up more points cause I knew cru would get big plays... i was pissed about my loss to but obviously for all the time and effort u put into this league u love madden... matter how madden gets in the future better or worse I love football and this game and couldn't quit regardless

i dont see why waiting to use your timeouts is a bad thing, whatever ya gotta do with ur timeouts to get the ball back is what ya gotta do. ive seen coaches wait to use them, especially if they give up a first down

Bucs 31 Cards 25

Freeman QBR 101.3 317 yards 4 TD 2 INT
White 105 yards 2 TD
Baldwin 88 yards 1 TD
Barron 1 INT

Ponder QBR 66.0 260 yards 1 INT
Vick 30 yards 1 TD
Thompson 101 yards
Housler 1 TD
Timmons 1 INT 5 Tak
Peterson 1 INT for 6

drops deff killed chetty in this game almost every 3rd down.

GG chetty.
but where u made ur mistake is pressing aj
I didn't. It was 3 deep man with my corners not pressing, he still got behind everyone.

That's the thing: I didn't make any mistakes with how it ended, I played it exactly like I should have. I dominated the game in all three phases, and still lost thanks to the Madden gods deciding to give the luckiest pass of all time. It's a whole new level of losing, I've never seen a comparable game in years of playing Madden.

That was 3 deep man? Where was the safety help? I thought it looked like 2 man under. All I saw was AJ finally get some separation at the line and heaved a prayer. No help over the top.

Standing right there watching the ball sail over their heads.

Anyway, I've decided to stick around, at least through the offseason and the beginning of next year. If it turns out not to be fun anymore, I can always leave later. The bottom line is this: I played probably the three best games of consecutive Madden I've ever played and dominated three of the best players in the league, only to get screwed over by luck. I'm not going out like that. So Doom, you're on notice: I know exactly what it takes to beat you now, including how to slow down your Super Foster. Next time we meet, it's not going to be close enough for you to win on some lucky bullshit. No offense. ;)
any chance we are going to advance soon. Doom and I were looking to get our game done.
PM fero. I'm at brunch.

Yes I commish and issue ultimatums from brunch. Like a boss.

haha will do.

If you want to send Haden my way, I would appreciate it. ;)
Maybe if Champ doesn't retire. If he does, I'm probably stuck with Haden's stealth crappiness.

Madden has to correct the flaw in the game that is the super players in connected career. It's beyond stupid that Foster has 99 speed. No sense of realism what so ever.

its not like its Steven Jackson who he got to 99 speed. i pretty sure he starts at 96 speed or something. i mean i still dont think speed should be able to change but its not like Foster was a slow back to start with.

Sorry guys...it's sunday morning, and i was at church. Let's not make demands on sunday mornings, please;)

Advancing now. The first time, if it doesn't let you play, i'll advance again. (And secretly pray it sims the superbowl!!!!)

Feel free to rewind time to last night and lose instead, I'll take on Hem for you. ;)

I'll talk to fero and uber and come up with an off season schedule today.

Please wait until after advance to post any trades so that the ratings will reflect the new year.
