Madden 13 Official CAG League - On Hiatus. See you in August for Madden 25!

If injury is a concern, use your backups. If there's a time for starters to be pulled, certainly up 50 points in the 4th quarter of a playoff game is it.
ya gotta milk the clock, but there are times when short passes are safer calls than run plays in situations like that. i donno about 38-0 but if ur up a few scores trying to milk the clock, running into a blitz can be dangerous. more for ur guys getting injured and also fumbles in the backfield. im not defending mog im just sayin. in my opinion if ur up 28 points in the 4th and you have the ball, the game should be over, but 21 points can happen pretty fast with a little luck n madden bullshit, especially if you have the ball early in the 4th.

my point is running into a blitz is risky, a short throw here or there is smart and shouldnt be complained about, not saying thats what happened here tho
Yeah, i'm sorry, nothing in your post merits running up the score 59-0 during a playoff game, let alone a regular game.

That being said, to address bseti's point, I don't think people should be calling big blitzes to defend the run when they're down 40 points. At that point the game is over, doing that is pointless.

Ramesu was big blitzing to stop my running game late in our game, but it was entirely appropriate since it was still a game he could have conceivably won. I chose to keep running it into those blitzes but I doubt he'd have had a problem if I threw against it instead. But we're talking about a 16-point game, not a 40-point one, it's a big difference.

now your telling how to coach my players, Well Bray is a big part of my team and stewart my 3 string rb has a carry of 75 so I know his chance of fumbling is very high

Yea the score was ugly and i agree and i also agree it looks like i ran the score up but my stats doesnt say so and i really wasnt trying to at the same time.

I was hardly running blitzes. Sitting in the 3-4 running 2 man under. Mog was running play action passes to suck down the linebackers (who would have been covering the TE in a 3-4). He was up by 38 at halftime and held me to 37 points across the previous 9 quarters. It was obvious I wasn't going to make a comeback.

Play action up 6+ scores? Seriously? I must have missed that in your initial description... Who's going to step up to defend that?

And staticz, just to clarify I wasn't saying you were blitzing, just responding to bseti's hypothetical.

im not asking anyone to defend that all im saying is that i threw short passes to avoid injuries and other things. and staticz to really say you werent blitzing is crazy you were sending both inside backer through the 1 and 2 hole and you were pulling the oppsite safty over, or the oppsite olb from the weak side.

I said it wouldnt happen again and ill take my warning im not arguing.

I just posted my stats to show noting about my offense was crazy joe didnt throw for 300 with 4-5 td rice got the ball the most telling i ran almost the whole game.

With me holding on to the ball for most of game joe only had 14 attempts and only 10 compeltions for under 200 yards

Rice and bray combined for 5 tds

but im done talking about myfault staticz it wasnt intentional

Texans Overcome Horrendous Start, Beat Ravens 41-27

A rematch of last season's AFC Title game looked like it was going to provide the same result, but the tide completely turned in the 2nd quarter. With the Texans down 21-3, Foster and the line finally synched and popped off a long 80 yard run to make it 21-10. Flacco then proceeded to throw picks on back-to-back drives, which opened the door for Houston. The momentum completely changed hands, and Houston answered with back-to-back one play drives to make it 24-21.

Houston scored again after the half to make it 31-21 with another Foster scamper from inside the 10. They added another score to make it 38-21 on the next drive.

However the story of the second half was Houston's defense, which clamped down and added three more Flacco picks. Baltimore managed to find the endzone late in the 4th, but by that time it was too late.

Houston finally gets revenge.

GG mog

Bengals over the Broncos, should be a close one though

bseti and my games have always been close, until the last one when he pummeled me. Hoping for a better result this time.

no, not at all. I like working with film and generally just dicking around on the computer. Now I can take video and throw it on Youtube and make a few pennies when a poor sap accidentally clicks on an ad

Plus I can stream games live with it. I know most guys won't watch but it spices things up a little bit. I used to always upload Madden/Halo highlights back in the day....

Hopefully out of the AFC too. Anyone But Doom 2013!

No offense, buddy. ;)

Just dropped 83 points on the CPU in practice.....yep, that should definitely translate against Chetty's #1 ranked defense!

My LB corps' hit power is now: 98 (Beason), 96 (Kuechly), 95 (Thomas Davis), and 86 (James Anderson)...hopefully I can cheese my way to victory with a fumblefest! Although I guess I'm supposed to gameplan against that rookie WR with about 1500 more yards than any other receiver on his team...I don't know if my LBs will be doing much this game on second thought :(
guess who's back!!! still gotta buy a new xbox and all that but i should be available by the time the next season starts
Welcome back. Now stay out of the AFC ;)

Welcome back, Deuce. We're full up at the moment, but you're first in line for the next team that opens up.

Interested in Cromartie. Would you consider bringing Phillip Rivers back to San Diego? :D

I also have Reggie Wayne and a decent WR that I picked up in the 1st rd last season. Neither is a speedster, but they have superstar attributes that I just can't utilize like I want to.

Just randomly going through stats. Demaryius Thomas has 28 receptions, 10 tds and 873 yards in 1 game and 10 Downs played. Lol

Gosder Cherilus gave up 31 sacks. 13 more than second place. And who would of guessed Doom would have had the top two pancaking lineman :)

Despite all the players with extremely high int numbers, only Marquise Robbins went over 300 yards returning. In comparison, the Steelers have 62 as a team.

Tobias Bray had an outrageous 8 kick/punt returns. Embarrassingly 3 came against me.

Cam Newton also had over a 100 qb rating with 42 interceptions and 42 touchdowns. Only in Madden, lol.

Anyone notice any interesting stats from the season or your own team?

Ha, its weird. A lot of players seemed to be bugged this way but in different ways. Its not consistent, who knows.
