Madden 13 Official CAG League - On Hiatus. See you in August for Madden 25!

After rejecting me in the re-signing phase, both Haynesworth and Addai took smaller contracts to join me in free agency. Time to find some new agents, gentlemen.
For argument sake, if the Bengals were to cut Welker, it would be a cut savings of -34.10 Milllion. WOW!
It's because they gave him a $44M bonus. It's an insane and ridiculous contract, but the only one it's going to hurt is him, so it's not the end of the world. Even with backloading, it's still a $10M+ cap hit in the first year.

lol priceless
I guess the better thing to say was he is no longer a power kicker it dropped to 88 or 89 that's why I cut him and his acc went down to 80

Fair enough Good Sir, My Apologies;)

We have officially confirmed the rookie draft will start at 6pm EST on Sunday Night January 27th, 2013.

To those who couldn't make this time, I am sorry, but the LARGE majority (over 82%) of the League can make it on Sunday at 6pm.

If you have any questions please feel free to send me, bvharris, or ubernes a message!

bengals should be a nasty team on offense with welker green and harvin plus that defense is already full of studs.
my falcons have all the weapons anyone could ask for but only if i knew how to use them correctly would help a bunch i think i might take sprice up on his offer he gave out a long time ago and get some training in before the season starts

EDIT: Julio Jones is now off the market until i see what hes asking for in a new contract in the offseason sorry fellows but hes just to good to say good bye to so soon. pending on how things turn out though he might be back up for grabs if he wants way to much along with the other elites i have to sign as well
still taking offers for Porter and Barron. looking for WR
Chargers receivers are available.

Def overpaid for welker but hearing blade say that was about what he offered him makes me feel better. In real life hes only asking for a 4 year deal in the 25mil range. I mean he was asking for almost 13, i have him 16, i figured im not gonna cut him so i put a chunk of it in the bonus, like bv said tho still a huge cap hit. He better fkin get open...

Trade Alert

Bucs send

SS Mark Barron, Age 24, OVR 82 in my scheme. Contract 2 years 2014-3.82M, 2015-4.57M.

Jets send

WR Stephen Hill, Age 23, OVR 79 in my scheme. Contract 2014-1.32M, 2015-1.57M
5th round draft pick of this draft.

My reason for doing this trade is because Hill gives me the size i want in a WR and the speed everyone desires. So he will give me the deep threat and the endzone threat. we did feel Barron was a little better then Hill so we added the 5th. oh and now Baldwin can finally move to slot where he belongs.

Just posting that I approve.

I like Hill a lot but I rarely threw to him. Also my rookie WR from last year, while not nearly as fast, had a lot of similar key attributes (release, jump). Barron will stop my revolving door at safety for at least 2 years and will be paired with Rhodes.

Trade For Review

Chiefs send
2nd round pick 55th overall pick
for
Falcons Send
7th round pick 202nd overall pick
1st round pick in 2015 draft

Falcons reasoning: well theres one player in the draft that i developed an eye for thating im hoping will fall to this pick im getting from KC. i willing to give up a 1st rounder in the future because by doing so not only does it help me with landing a player now that can help me win not only now but in the future as well. i think a first rounder is what pick it needed to be since i get the slight chance of a win with the draft if it goes as planned and the chiefs should get the 1st round pick to be compensated for the future and for the wait.

Chiefs Reasoning: im unsure im sure he will give his input at one point

It's definitely a huge gamble. Having used him last season, he's not as easy to get open as you'd hope given the lack of speed. But your bevy of receivers should create some pretty good mismatches for him. Plus, IIRC you use the NE playbook like I do, which has a ton of Welker-specific routes in it.
Reminder to everyone that this is the last phase of free agency. It says there are 5 weeks, but really it's just 3.
I'm assuming were advancing around 8 again? Still a lot of players who haven't chose a home

Yup. The majority didn't sign until the final week last season as well.

Welker is ok in madden..his height is too much of a disadvantage..matched with 86 spd he is a bum...

K, no official rejection yet but I'll repost with the 4th once it is.
Tom Brady is on the block..im in class so i can't post contract info right now.
Cap number on his new team would be $18.95M. He's in the final year of his deal.
Told you its a cover up that he's gay lol
he's either gay and was about to come out and the story hit the press and it was to much for him to come out with that going out to the whole public or hes very stupid and thought a dude was a chick on the phone

Anyone interested in the 13th overall pick? Looking to trade picks, 1st, 3rd, 4th. I'd trade the 1st round for a lower 1st round this year, and a 1st round next year.

That was all alluded to in the original Deadspin article, I was wondering why it was getting glossed over.

ur a bum, you dont know how to use him. like bv said u need to find the plays that are made for him in the pats playbook which ill be switching to from the saints playbook. whats bs is that his release is only like a 70 which might be realistic physically but in real life he gets off press coverage as good as ne1, but its ususally cuz hes in the slot or he goes in motion. B

But thanks to widdow he came with 19,000 xp points so i got that up to like a 77.

3 strikes ur out lol ;)

That trade is off the table. We are going to take our time and go back to the drawing board and get one the committee will like instead of changing it a little each time. Also, Devitos contract is awful and neither of us realized it.
i dont see why every one thinks Hill is so bad. with his speed and size and release he is a real deep threat.
I think it's funny that nobody in either league is drinking the Stephen Hill kool-aid. Not sure how he's progressed in here, but his route running was bad and his catch rating was bad. So...you've got a guy who is strong and fast and can get away from defenders...who then runs to the wrong spot and drops the ball, lol.
Is this the last stage of scouting ? Because I need to use my points and when we advancing again ?
No, you'll still be able to scout during the next phase.
i dont see why every one thinks Hill is so bad.
We looked at his ratings. Nobody thinks he's bad, we just don't think he's close to an elite player. Which Barron is.

Okay, lets try this one last time...

CB E.Lankster, Age 27, OVR 73, Contract 2014-690k, 2015-910k
3rd round draft pick of this draft.

Note: I offered Trufant and a 4th or Lankster and a 3rd, the Bucs said Lankster and a 4th is fine, and obviously said the other versions were fine as well, but in fairness and in order for us to get this finally pushed through I pushed the 3rd rounder on him. Not ideal since my 1st is already gone, but I wanted this settled before 8pm (more or less) so I could make the appropriate FA offers.
