I was a lot better in Balloon Battle in the last meet up. I just had a hard time finding you guys! You can't do Balloon Battle with 5 people :lol:

No way! I play as my Mii in the pink Mii motorcycle. Jet Bubble, thanks Bavgate.

But I know your frustration. My new rainbow road strategy is to not start off with a speed boost. It doesn't matter where I am, if someone bumps me I go flying off the stage. especially at the start of a race.

Tonight on the GCN Donkey Kong stage, I was in 3rd on the bridge right behind Decrot and it was the last lap. I wasn't even trying to bump into him but I guess I did anyway and I went flying to the left and off the stage. Came in 6th on that one :roll:

Although I will admit to running over DMK quite a bit. He was just always in front of me when I got a star :lol:

10 is better for me - I'm on the west coast too, but can't usually jump on until a little after 1030 EST. Really, I end up being later than everyone, so I guess whenever it starts I will just try to jump in if people are still playing.

I have a brawl tournament match at 8PM central (9EST). Sometimes we play a few extra rounds for the fun of it, but I will join you guys right after.

I hopped in two races with you yesterday GW. (Does the game let you know when a friend joins you?)

The first was Bowser's Castle and I had an absolutely awful race. A bullet dumped me right as one of Bowser's fireballs exploded then I restarted right where another was exploding. Then I got flustered and fell off a total of probably 4 times in a row. Yikes.

But the 2nd race (forget which track) I managed to finish ahead of you. :whee:
 
All right, I will start at 9:30pm EST (I may host as early as 9:15pm EST) and will play until 11pm EST. If someone wants to host a game after that, go ahead and add users to your friend's list.
 
There's a new tournament up, as of yesterday, and this one's unique - a new arena AND a new obstacle.

The goal is to knock Spiky Topmen (apparently from Mario Galaxy?) off of the arena's edge, so think of it like sumo wrestling in karts. :)

I got a time that I'm proud of, but there are a bunch of people on the leaderboards who have absolutely ridiculous times, something like 13.xxx seconds to knock all four of the Spiky Topmen off of the edge of the level. If anyone has a clue how to get that kind of time, by all means let me know - I thought my 42.xxx second attempt was pretty good. :whistle2:k
 
I tried the new tournament...for some reason those little pricks were always behind me. I forgot what my time was but it was no where near 13 seconds. It took me 13 seconds to figure out what I was supposed to be doing!

I'll probably be on from 1030EST to about 1200EST. I won't be able to add anyone before then, but I think I already have a lot of potential racers added. I don't think they've added me though, because I have a lot of question marks.

My first run took me two and a half minutes, but once I figured out the trick to it it got a lot easier.

I'm not sure if those 13 second runs are legit, though - there's a bit of delay between when you knock one off the edge and when one spawns, so that would put you at a few seconds for each one. I know I'm not the best Mario Kart player around, but I don't have a clue how you'd knock them off that quickly. :whistle2:k

Hey now! I most certainly am not!

I mean, sure, it picked my race a couple of times, but so what? If I was really a hacker, we would've played Moonview Highway a couple of times..:bomb:

Plus, I wouldn't have been attacked by Shaq-fu-king green shells everytime I had an opening...

*sighs*

Aside from that, I had fun. I'm quite surprised at how well I did, especially since I was on Automatic.
