Mario party 8
If you set the computer to easy, does it still (almost) always roll 7+?
Well, when playing with 1 other CPU in party mode (thankfully I have 2 others to play with) I set it to normal and it's pretty rounded off. I'm complaining about the CPU in Star Battle Arena, in which you can not set the difficult in that. It just is what it is in that mode :whistle2:(
I got 200 cards when I completed the Star Challenge (single player mode where you unlock Blooper). Yeah, the moped race is kind of fun. My son and I played that and he figured out how to win the race every time while the best I could do is 4th or 5th. I think this is a bad sign for me .

I asked about fastest. That star arena takes too long. I have yet to have any problems in Boo's Haunted House.

Oh, and bring back BUMPER BALLS WILL YA ?!
Here here on Bumper Balls, but with a teetering platform. They also need to bring back the 3 vs 1 Paddle Battle.

Ya know, with all the rehashing Nintendo has done over the years..it amazes me they have yet to make a Mario Party collection.

if it was up to me, I would make Mario Party 10 (yes, I said 10) the ULTIMATE Mario Party. Boards & Mini games from ALLLL 9 other Mario Parties. Some of the original mini-games were.. just.. awesome and could all easily be given Wiimote functionality,

Mario Party 9, bring it online.
Mario Party 10, keep it online and throw in the other 9 parties in there :)

That's just me, but I really don't know why they haven't given us an ULTIMATE mini-game collection when it comes to Mario Party.

...or when they release the N64 versions of MP 1-3, give them an optional wii-mote function..
Yeah, I believe MP8 will be responsible for making that into a new slang term. "Shakin your can".
I will try that around. More than likely, only those with knowledge of MP8 will probably laugh. Everyone else will be like WTF?
Aside from that, there's one called "Shake It Up," or something along those lines. In it, you must compete to shake a can as much as possible in order to make your can spew farther than the other players' cans.

...I'll let you use your imagination on that one.
WarioWare also has that champagne bottle shaking thing.. then you spray it all over 3 race car drivers to celebrate or 3 mummies to bring them back to life. Hooray Nintendo!

Well, I picked this up when it was $40... tried it out with the hubby the other night. He was sort of confused by the whole thing... I tried to explain that that's just the nature of Mario Party, but I dunno if he bought it! I'm not sure if he'll be playing again...

I enjoyed it. Thought the mini games were responsive, and I love how it's laid out like a carnival, with the little tickets to buy all the unlocks. Just wish there were more unlockables!
My TRU.com order has shipped, did anyone else's order ship as well?
yea my mp8 shipped as well. now i just need to get a wii :bomb:

This game is definitely enjoyable. The King Boo board is rather lackluster. Moreover, its weird getting pitfills in King Boo's board, when I am playing as Boo himself. I would think the Boo's would stick together.

However, the hotel investing board definitely adds some amazing strategy to the game. And by amazing strategy I mean just for a Mario Party game. However, on that "investing" board game I played as Boo, and whenever anyone landed on an event spot, a white faced Shy Guy would steal coins from me. This happened about five times during the same game. I was wondering if Boo automatically has a disadvantage on that board or something.

Picked this up on a whim. I've never owned any other Mario Party games and played only a few minutes total of them, so hopefully this one's fun for a beginner to the series.

Got MP8 today from my TRU.com order and double checked my bank account to see if the correct amount was taken out. It was since GCO was applied and I only ended up paying $26.33 shipped for this game. Thanks goes out to whoever posted the original TRU.com deal, it's been a long time since my preorder but everything has gone smoothly! :)

Anyone have tips for the Bowser board? The game goes on waaayyy longer than the other boards since we just end up chasing each other back and forth as the directions keep getting switched. In particular, any way to get better rolls of the dice? I've been able to figure out the spinning wheel, but I get horrible rolls for moviing. There's gotta be a pattern to it.

I was thinking of picking this game up soon. I only have MP2 so I was thinking of either getting MP 8 or one of the GC versions. How does it stack up to the GC versions?
