Base rewards are Punisher covers so most of us shouldnt really care about our end tiers and just getting that last progression reward. Worth noting it is a 2 day event so yeah I am just going to hop in later tonight. I dont care the bracket I make it in so long as I can get the points!

 
The colossal punch animation needs a little work, but Colossus is awesome. You get to use a lvl 204 version with all 3 powers in the first subevent mission (didn't check how many covers each power had).

I have grown to not expect anything out of the move animations anymore. As an animator especially it really saddens me hahaha

How are the point gains? Does it seems like an easy event to score the final progression reward?

Love to the toss and power activation. Tossed Deadpool up, when he came down, it activated the Deadpool Whale.

300 pts for essentials. Damn, I need that Red Punisher.

Hmm... sometimes the wait is better not just for better brackets but for the banding of the points to higher values per match. I have class tonight actually so not sure if I will get to play much but either way then hopefully by the morning they are yielding almost 1k or so.

 
I'll start later tonight. Thankfully today is an early day at work. Should be getting at least one Stormhawk cover as well. Might push for two if I'm close.

I'm pretty sure I already have 5 in Punisher's red or black. Don't have everyone's powers memorized and the phone is away.

 
I wonder if people are worn out for the PVP event. Currently sitting @ 24 with 500 pts. Or they might be scared of my Rogers, Falcon, Hulk matchup. I did defend against a team for 35 pts.

I just felt like playing the PvP and I dont care all that much for Storm but boy was that a mistake. I stupidly thought, oh look a Daken only 166 so I can destroy him. Nope, not when mixed with a freaking 332 Falcon. The match was over in like a minute.. AND MY GUYS HAVE 20K HEALTH. Bah the whole board was almost instantly filled with 200+ strike tiles

I had to look at this 750 HP and some iso for my C.mags very tempted on selling him. Thats like over $5 worth of HP for a character I wont really use anymore. Very tempting indeed. I sold Wolvie AFTER they stopped offering HP for him (stupid) & have already rebuilt him, so I might as well.

What no sentry with that? I remember thinking the same thing, oh thats cute a daken with Falcon, Sentry is in there too? No problem all their powers suck. One world rupture later all my guys were dead. Thats bullshit I said, just luck! Tried taking my aggression out on another Sentry Daken team.....yeah happened again, F that not messing with Daken Sentry's again...add falcon in there with boost skills oh hell no!

Your Redwing couldn't take care of those strike tiles fast enough? psh. Green Hulk - smashes all tiles - even the damn useful ones. Always have to remember to use that before placing Roger's red/blue/yellow.

That means I'm 680 points closer to the yellow Colossus progression reward than you are. I showed you!

I generally jump in when I have the chance on these events, because I don't want something to come up at the end of it, and me to miss the progression rewards because I waited too long.

 
Phew.

I am locked in with a shield at 2h 58m with 2h 57m left, I really hope it doesnt pull that somehow ends with time but not really and last second I lose stuff.

I am sitting at 706 points in the #1 slot with 2nd place having 479 points.

I am hoping to be able to score the top 5 at least, wouldnt be heartbroken if I miss out on the X-Force right now. Top 5 will bring my Storm to 2/2/4 and that 5k ISO (with the 20k I am sitting on at the moment for Storm and Colossus) will really help getting her level up to match her soft cap. I really have a hunch that she will be really helpful in the next PvP as in it will be something I want... Colossus!? If not I will look like a chump but at least will have a much better Storm : P

 
I'm in the 40s with about an hour to go. Once I finish this cup of coffee I'll see if I can push my way up to top 25 for two covers.

only have 400 points. nice easy bracket.

Looks like the next  PvP event is a 'battle of the atom' all x-men characters boosted?

But so the new PvP like I thought has Colossus as the reward. If we can I would say we need to all try hard in the PvP and not pull last second stuff and try to accrue a real substantial amount of points. Especially because the Alliance reward is his Yellow Cover!!!

Oh and my initial assumption of characters was right in terms of those boosted

I tried a shield hop and succeeded, but then I got hopped back. I'm hoping I get a last minute defense win, but looks like I'm coming in 6th.

And yes, your guess list was correct, Broly, but only 2* Magneto, not 3*.

Reward is Colossus, reversed order from last time - yellow for the lowest, red highest, yellow alliance.
 
I just swore loudly from my office. I jumped in with 20 minutes left, got into a horrible bracket (top player had 600+), didn't finish my last match in time, and ended up 105. fuck ing Ares. Glad I only wasted 20 minutes of my life.

EDIT: Got the seed teams to win Colossus, so that's a plus.

Finished 31 with 681 points in Earth's Mightiest.  Also, it looks like telling everyone your trick may have backfired if you want them to jump in early this time Broly.  :whee:

 
With this event, especially that we all are getting a good boost of seed teams and we ALL could really use the Alliance Colossus I say we try again for a PvP Alliance reward. 

It works best for me when I jump in with about 24 -30 hours remaining in the PvP, push as much as I can with my health packs and what not and then try to get super far then shield with 3 hours left.

I suggest we all try something similar and hopefully we can squeeze into the top 100 because then mine, and many of our Colossus' would be almost usable. Mine if I can score all those rewards plus the progression then would be at 4/3/2 which sounds amazing to me.

We got this guys!!

(though I am worried about how well I can do since I dont have any maxed characters that are boosted and that is all I ever have to fight against : /)

For the record though I did it the way I said above for this last one and I was I finished 1st place 200 points ahead of #2.

All my methods work ; D

 
I'm not saying they don't work, I'm saying they don't correspond to super high point totals for the alliance.  I would try it on some events if they didn't all end when I'm at work or sleeping.

I'll probably go in fairly early, but I am still trying to get the Colossus from the Deadpool event.  I'm not sure the overlap between boosted/required characters, but I'm usually good for 500-700 points.

Yeah my higher point method is when I start 24-30 hours before the end and I usually net the same, 500-700 otherwise I pull my super late stuff and get maybe 200 max with that

Probably because everyone has a Colossus now from the progression awards, so everyone can do the required nodes, which feeds into scaling everything. Feels like there are less nodes, too, but I didn't actually count.

The Sentry one was kind of rough on my first pass, not sure I'll be doing more than making sure I get an event token for a possible Gold. Got a red Colossus from the first subevent's token, wouldn't mind picking up another color or maybe a Deadpool.

Anyone have an opinion on best Colossus build? I'm leaning 5 yellow, 4 red for the team damage, and 4 black for the slight reduction in time airborne. I think it depends on who he's going to pair with, because if you throw him out with Thor, you don't need the damage and having the ability to randomly cast any Thor ability for black would say go 5/3/5. But black could be useless with someone who uses passives or has an undesirable random (Ares comes to mind), so 5/5/3 makes sense. Then again, maybe I'm putting too much focus on the yellow.

I had thought 5/3/5 originally just because the usefulness of his red is dependent on his yellow being active and comparatively there are quite a few others with really powerful red moves.

Playing with him now I think I am sticking with that initial build idea. I agree that his black is dependent on how you plan on using and with who. You may actually want to use the throw as a defensive mood for the thrown character to protect them and yeah if using characters with some wonky moves it may not be as effective.

For my characters and how I plan on using him I think 5/3/5 is ideal though the verdict still is out.

 
Forgot the deadpool event had sub events, oh well there went my colossus progression rewards.  But hey you get used to events where you get 4k a node & top progression rewards are got in a day.

Oh but we really need to push because those punisher covers are the top rewards.....Oh I always laugh when I see that.  I guess I should be more sensitive to the people building their rosters though right *spanks hand* Bad Tigger!

 
I'm right now at 25 and need that black and red cover.  Going to start my PvP tomorrow morning and hopefully miss the rush of PvE people joining the event.

My last two "good" pulls were black Loki and black Punisher. Both already maxed. At least I hit the progression reward for Deadpool, my sweet level 53 Colossus.

Im in the same boat. Pulled a 3* last night....was excited to see gold and.....Spiderman, yellow.

OK whatever, I have spiderman maxed, or so I thought. As I was deciding whether to drop purple or blue down a peg it turns out I had one spot open left for yellow. So now I have a 3/5/5 maxed out spiderman. uh Whoo? I dont even know after the nerftification.

In the almost 1 year of playing this game, I finally have 1 of the original 3* characters maxed out.

 
Last good pull was my Nick Fury and GSBW and the 10 pack from LAST SEASON.  All I've been getting in between are Moonstone, Modern Hawkeye and Ares.

Woke up with an hour before the PvE  ended and just made 25th place for my 2 punisher covers.  Going to join the PvP later today after I'm done with my meetings.

 
Not really feeling Children of the Atom event.  My highest boosted characters are 2 star Mags, Wolverine and Storm, boosted to 141.  From the opponents I'm seeing, it's usually at least two of those, and maybe 1 other 3 star boosted character.  I'm just using my Falcon/Hulk/BP since two of the three are higher levels than my boosted characters.  Oh well.

 
I'm having fun so far with that 2* trio of mag/storm/wolvie. Sometimes I sub Hulk for wolvie.

Would be nice to somehow pull the alliance cover & get a yellow Colossus for everyone.
 
I was feeling like my luck was so bad it couldnt get worse and so I bought a Children of the Atom 200HP Daily Token... AND I GOT A BLACK DEADPOOL! Phew I was pretty damn stoked. My Deadpool is getting pretty close to max powers now so that is great!

Okay, now this PvP.. I wasn't kidding when I said I wanted everyone to push. I said in the chat minimum 600 points is expected of everyone in this event and I am holding to that. We all could greatly benefit from this new Colossus and so we all need to push.

And I dont want any excuses either because seriously every single one of my nodes have a level 300-400 boosted X-Force and my highest character in this event is Patch boosted to like 210 or something. I know this event is tough, trust me my roster is not built for this event but I am still getting the points so you guys can too. I played on my train ride into the city this morning and am already at nearly 400 points and I expect to be much higher by the end.

We got this guys!

As usual the randoms are the first on the chopping block but being a CAG doesnt necessarily give you immunity, we all need to work together!

I don't mind joining early but like the last few times we said push for the PvP I ended up placing outside of the top 100/150 and same with the Alliance so at the end I got 0 covers. If we're all pushing then fine I can try to play a match or two in between meetings and implementing a new database but I'm at best good for 400-500 after I getting attacked at the last minute.

This. All the talk of pushing, and as of last night, 8-10 people still hadn't started. It certainly discourages me from jumping in early, especially when there is another event going on that also has useful rewards for me.

On the bright side, I also pulled a black Deadpool with the CotA token, although that only puts mine at 2/0/1. Another level 53!

 
I am in the same boat as you guys, I was worried nobody would push. I joined this morning and am honestly struggling to hold 400 points even right now. After work I can obviously push more but I know this is a really tough event for everyone as is.

I honestly don't know what to say because I really want to push and I know if we all did we could land top 100 but I also know people are slackers and arent contributing and I would hate to make you guys not get ANY covers then.
