Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Fusion - Gen Discussion & Info - DLC RESTORED!
Actually it's the opposite. You can carry your stuff over, but only on the same difficulty. If you start a new game to do legendary nothing carries over.
That is absolutely retarded. I wanted to start a second game with my friends and pick up all the stuff I missed from the other storyline and keep my characters decked out, but I wanted to do it in Legendary. fucking lame.

Then again, what's the point of playing legendary with fully decked out characters...hmmmm.. perhaps it'd be fine if they left everything unlocked character wise and then just set your levels and cash back to zero.

BTW, anyone get the money and costume cheats to work? I assume they disable achievements, but gamefaqs didn't say so, and it was grouped with the Hulk, Thor, and Phoenix cheats.

I haven't tried it, as I just finished the game tonight, but the Brady Games guide says that when you start a Legendary game, it starts out with everyone being at level 30.

"Enemies are scaled assuming your heroes are around level 30. If you start a new game on Legendary (you can do this after you have beat the game once), all of your heroes start at level 30."

Anybody know if this holds true? I've seen false things in game guides before, so I'm curious. I'm going to start my next game (Iron Man story) in a few days, so I figured I'd check this to see what everyone else is doing.

Edit: How many achievements (and gamerscore) did everyone get from their first play through? I got 335GS and 22 achievements, I was just wondering if this was high or low.

Rei, are you sure? I just double checked now, and when you're in the last HQ (after you beat the game) you can select an elevator that says next mission.

Then a window pops up that says, "Start a new game on legendary?"

I selected yes, and it put me back to the first level, on legendary, with all heroes unlocked (even though you can't select them right away for obvious reasons) and my characters were at level 36 with all their moves.

Also, the autospend glitch is that when you turn off autospend on a character, it keeps turning itself back on.

thats how the gamfaqs people are saying it works. after the game you load your save go to the next mission in the hub and it should give you the option of starting a new game on legendary, if you agree you start with your team in the same state they were from that save.

also if you start a new game from the menu you will start a completely new game.

i wish you could actually get xp from the simulator.
To anyone that beat it. How many hours did you put into it?
A friend beat it last night. He said it took about 8 hours.

Just beat it and my time was 7:38. Very fun game but a little short. The last boss fight was so damn easy using Goblin's glider. I just lit him up with the regular bullets and beat him in no time. I started a new game on Legendary the way it says to, by going to the mission computer. All my characters are at least 30 and they're all still unlocked save for one.

Has anyone else had a hard time unlocking The Hulk? By the time my game was finished, I only had 3/5 gamma things. I can't imagine how I missed the other two and its kinda pissing me off. At least I'll be playing through again, I better find them this time.

If you speed through the game, and since you have a similar time to what mine was, you will pass two of them. I did the exact thing, I went back and replayed a couple missions that I was missing a Hero item and those were both Hulk items.

Theres more than 5 in the game for each hero item too, I think there might be ten. I've collected 6 for Thor at least.

Glad to see that the game lets you pick up from the start with all your characters in tact too. I'll be starting my next game sooner than I thought. :bouncy:

Yeah, but only if you go into the new game from the end of your other save, and then you play in legendary difficulty. I'm doing the Pro-Reg story in Legendary. Unlocked all the costumes yesterday.

Ok, so I'm what I assume is the last or one of the last levels, where you fight
the tinkerer
for the second time, and he summons all of his super soldiers, and then I kill them, and this goes on until he's at half health, and now he's just flying around the room.... did the game glitch or something, because he rarely attacks now, he's sealed in his bubble, and I can't touch him. Am I just missing something obvious?
To get Venom and Green Goblin = Anti Reg?
You get them in either path. They unlock in Act 3. Sucks that its so close to the end before you get to use them.

Only one I have unlocked was thor and I'm at the end. I guess round 2 is when I will get the other 2 unlocked.

To all those who were wondering what that extra character was that looked weird, I never saw someone post about it, so I thought I'd let you know it's
Cyber Nick Fury

And I can confirm that the only way to keep your data is to go to Legendary, which I think is lame.

Legendary isn't that hard though, so it really doesn't matter once you get used to it. Grenades and rockets can hurt but I haven't died yet and I just play solo.

Using your leveled team? Doesn't everyone level around the same speed even if it is someone that you never used in game and the ones you have used are all around 25 then that one should be at abough 22 or so.

By team I meant everyone...

Is there a list somewhere regarding what characters are strictly pro/anti registration teams? I have a fairly decent idea based on the actual storyline, but I wonder at the execution.

Started playing yesterday co-op and I'm quite impressed at the sections where enemies attack en masse. Very epic feel, and I do agree, the combat feels to have a much bigger oomph then the last game. I don't know if I like the healing mechanic though. Sometimes it is so hectic its difficult to tell which button to press to heal the character you want to.

As much as I hate to say it all this one does is make me want to play the first one. I liked it a lot more only thing is I get DREs on it with my 360.

Anti-Reg can be: Cap, Luke Cage, Iron Fist
Pro-Reg can be: Iron Man, Songbird, Mr. Fantastic
You can be everyone else on either side.

Just to be sure if I was to use the unlock codes for Hulk and Jean Gray will I no longer be able to get achievements? I read the other codes you no longer will get them but I'm just wondering about the three characters.

Hulk, Thor, JG unlock codes will NOT stop you from getting achievements.

ok thats what I had thought. All I see is you put them in with the d-pad during game play what where?

EDIT: Nevermind I got them to work.

Really want to get the guide for this, as I don't want to miss any of the collectibles. I've probably already missed a ton.

How long do you guys think it will be before a guide is up?

Interesting storyline so far as well, huge Marvel fan but I never really read a ton of the comics. So I'm guessing (For people who choose the other side their second playthrough
The Pro-Reg side using mind controlled villains is portrayed as evil while playing as the Anti-Reg but playing on the Pro-Reg side the Anti-Reg team then uses the villains?

For a guide on the collectibles you can check out x360a.com and look in the forums for this game. I think some users have posted where to get some of the stuff.

As for what is in your spoiler
I went Pro-Reg and they didn't like using them but they still did. It wasn't looked as evil but something they had to do.

I haven't gotten that far in the game yet but
from a comics perspective the group the thunderbolts was formed as a way to reform supervillains and make them atone for their past crimes. The pro-registration side of the conflict heavily leveraged the thunderbolts in "civil war" since the heroes were decidedly split between iron man/cap

Hope that helps (instead of just confuses)

Legendary is definitely harder, just not at first. When I got to the level where the pro-reg springs their trap on the anti reg, those guys with the blue laser rifles fucked me up. As the Thing, I took 4-5 hits and bam I was dead. This is with my guys at level 49

Thanks for the help guys, not confusing at all. Going to try and finish the Anit-Reg story before ODST comes out tonite.

For anyone wondering, I did some research and found that the TRU B2G1free sale (any price) should happen sometime in October for those holding off. I figure I might as well do that either at TRU or PM it at BB (if possible) and use my $20 BB reward bucks. That is if they hopefully have the sale around the same time again.

What are "Pro Reg Victories" and "Anti Reg Victories"? I see them in the stats. I have 0. I am on my second play through now on Legendary. What did I miss as Pro Reg the first time around?

Man, it is really easy to unlock the alternate costumes. I unlocked all of the costumes available to my side in about 45 minutes in the training room.

This game could benefit from DLC in so many ways--standalone simulator missions, new characters, new costumes, I hope Vicarious Visions follows up in some way with DLC.

I beat the game two nights ago with the Anti-Reg side and I'm playing through on Legendary with the Pro-Reg. The game is good but I feel its lacking something, but I'm not sure what.

blah, just spent the time going through and getting every Fusion combo in the game, took about an hour to do, but that put me over 500 points.

Aside from finishing Legendary on Anti-Reg, I really need some co-op to put a dent in the rest. Does the co-op need to be on Live or can it be local. My friends are being lame and pulling the "I'm too poor" card.

Looks like a Smash Bros game at first :whistle2:s
But it's actually an "action/adventure" game?

--

I am doing a second run as Green Goblin. He is awesome. Some of these second costumes are terrible. WTF is up with Gambit's?!

It's from when Gambit was chosen as one of Apocalypse's Four Horseman...Death, if I remember correctly.

The limited number of costumes was one of the things I didn't like about this game. I liked the removal of costume specific bonuses (since now we can play as the costume we want), but I couldn't help but want more costumes. There just seemed to be so many they could have included but didn't.

Customization.

Thats one thing I didn't like about the game. I liked being able to put points into the other costumes in the last game.

Yeah. I loved the costume-specific abilities in the last one.

While I like this game, it feels like a step backward, in terms of character customization.

That, and the costumes and character designs in this game really, really suck, for the most part.

Everything this dude said goes for me as well. I had fun with my first play through, but there's definitely something the first game had that's missing from this one, and I can't quite explain it.
