Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Fusion - Gen Discussion & Info - DLC RESTORED!

I'll bet money 3 of the others are Cyclops, Psylocke, and Blade since they were in the PS2/PSP/Wii versions of the game and I'm sure all the back work to include them is already done. The final one, really just a wish of mine, would be Emma Frost, although it'd likely be Moonstone.
Sorry if it's been disucused but is Juggernaut going to be included as DLC?

GS screwed me over on my code. Anyway of getting a Juggs code?
I would complain to that Gamestop's district manager or corporate since that was the main reason to buy it there and you should have gotten it. Although, since just required registration on a website, how did you not get it?

I have seen some CAG's selling the code in the trading forum so you might want to look there before going to EBay to get gouged.

moon knight would be awesome, and again, i'd be sold. i really want blade/moon knight

They definitely need to bring Moon Knight back!

And fuck yeah for Carnage! That picture was sick!

Unfortunately, I also expect a future Gold edition of this game, but I'm willing to buy the DLC since it was worth it for the first game and I got it cheap.

Moonstone? We already have Ms. Marvel. Yeah, her powers are slightly different but it's basically the same character.

I guess you're supposed to get an e-mail after registering? I never got one. I went on vacation a day after the game came out, so I pretty much forgot about it until I got back a few days ago.

I'll check around on CAG for avalible codes. Thanks for the advice.

Via the recent Gamespot update, Psylocke is officially confirmed. They also talked about some of the new sim missions in the upcoming DLC. The two mentioned include a Super-Villain gauntlet, where it sounds like you just fight boss after boss, as well as a scrolling map that puts a wall of doom in front and in back of you, forcing you to move along with it while killing baddies.

http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/rpg...atures&tag=newsfeatures;title;1&mode=previews

Also of note, they included a segment of gameplay in their "on the spot" series, starting around 6:00. Originally they made a small mistake and included a screen of the character select, with all of the DLC characters clearly visible (has since been edited out). The three characters yet to be officially revealed are
Cable, Magneto, and Black Panther
.

Have they mentioned how many DLC characters there will be? Also, is it just going to be 1 round of DLC? I mean, I'd like to get a batch of characters.......and then months later have another bunch of characters come out :bouncy:

fuck yeah!!! I'm actually back to being hyped for DLC. The sim missions sound like fun. The only character I don't really care for is Magneto. Glad black panther is back; he was actually fun to play. Moon knight back and I'd be in heaven.

By the way, does anyone have a Juggs code I could have please?

What I'm wondering is have they announced when it will be released or for how much? I want to know how many points I should save up from my BB TRU PM cards.

If what we know know now is all that's going to be announced (5 characters, 2 sim missions, trophies/achievements), I'd guesstimate a price of 10 bucks. Judging by the amount of stuff people typically charge for content, I'd be somewhat surprised if it was only $5 for everything. Time-wise, seem to like announcing characters at a rate of one a week...they keep this up, we're looking at an early November release at earliest, Christmas release at latest.

Also, Psylocke's alt costume

Cable and carnage yet I'm sold. just wondering when it comes out. I might hold off on the other anti side of the game till the dlc pack comes out.

Sooo, did Psylocke join the Purple Dragon gang from TMNT?

I kid, I kid. It looks way better than most of the other alternate costumes

What happens at the end of a Legendary playthrough? Can I restart it like the end of my first playthrough? I just started my second runthrough (for the Pro-Reg achievements) and I was curious. That Psylocke alt is awesome.

I don't remember getting that option. But you do get to go back and play the side you didn't pick on legendary at the Simulator console. So you can go back and play any level regardless of what side you choose.

Thanks. That works for me, as I didn't want to have to go through Legendary twice, especially without my leveled up characters.

I've been meaning to go back and play Pro Reg on Legendary, but I might as well wait for the DLC pack. I have plenty of other games to hold me over until then.
Hopefully the DLC characters will have some new acheivments
I think they did announce them with the new DLC, or at least I thought.

Honestly, other than Psylocke none of the characters in that pack appeal to me. All the characters I'd want playable are probably not popular enough to make it...

Cable, as was mentioned earlier - officially confirmed.

Not entirely sure if I like how they trickle information out. Seems every 3-4 days a character's announced or their alt. costume is shown off...once all is said and done, they'll have teased us for about a month...and who knows how long after than until the dlc is actually released.

Digging Cable. Sucks though, as we've already seen him, since he's a mini-boss, but yeah. I'll love me some Deadpool/Cable action once I get my hands on it.

Also, I hate getting teased like this, but it does make me want it more. Damn Activision, they must have my girlfriend on speed dial.

I think it should be easy for them to make the bosses into playable characters since they already have moves. I'm still hoping Herc is eventually made playable.

i played 1 level of this (rental) and I see wombat's complaint. Shame I really looking forward to MUA was gonna skip it for MUA2 but now i don't see the point. I hope it gets better later on.

Marvel has finally confirmed the price and release date for the first batch of DLC for Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2. The pack will debut on November 5 for $9.99 on the PSN and 800
microsoftpointslogosmall.gif
($10) on Xbox 360. Included in the pack will be new simulator missions, boosts and, most important of all, three new characters. Namely, players will be able to get their hot little hands on Carnage, Psylocke and Cable.

In addition to the DLC pack, Juggernaut will also be released as a downloadable character. Originally, he was available only as a pre-order bonus but, starting November 5, anyone will be able to tell Charles to get out of their head for the price of $1.99 on PSN and 160

($2) on Xbox 360.

$10 for 3 characters? Ouch...I'm going to have to think about this.

For MUA, didn't we get eight new characters for the same price, all with their own simulator missions, four costumes each, and more than four moves?
I hope you're right and that Joystiq is wrong.
If you read Marvel's release (which joystiq quoted) it said something along the lines of "DLC Package includes...new playable characters including cable, carnage, and psylocke." Including being the key word leads one to believe it'll be more than just those three.

As far as cost is concerned, the MUA 1 dlc consisted of 8 extra characters, and that was it. There weren't any sim missions for them, as you unlocked their fourth costumes by racking up an ungodly number of kills. That cost 800 pts (ten bucks). This DLC pack costs the same, but with 3 less characters and 2 more (that we know of) sim missions. Add in some new boosts and some new trophies and achievements, they are (debatable) similar values.

It's already been confirmed that the DLC is 5 characters and the new missions.

New Characters were leaked in the GameSpot video and they are Magneto, Cable, Carnage, Black Panther, and Psylocke.

I'll be adding points to my account tonight. :) I'm happy that its coming out this soon, as I just started my second playthrough, so now I have more characters to use.
Yay Juggernaut!
He's awesome when you're playing an X-Men based team. They needed super-strength and he's as good as the others. His alt. costume is a little too bondage for me though.

Haha, I thought the same exact thing!
They want our Milk Money :(
Could be worse.... They could make us eat white dog poo and just take our money instead of exchanging it for awesome characters.

That Black Panther looks awesome! And whoopie! I'll get Juggernaut and didn't have to pre-order the game or search out a code. I'd prefer $1, but I guess I can live with $2. I'm going to wait to till this first batch of DL content is released before I start the game. I hope the DLC pack comes out soon, would it also be Nov 5 like Juggs?
I don't know if I should laugh at or feel bad for those people that paid $30+ for the Juggernaut code on ebay...
Laugh. No character, EVER, is worth $30+ in any game ever.

GS exclusives don't see so exclusive anymore huh...what does the wii get? they already had psylocke? maybe they get an unlockable hero called "jaksquat"

800 seems a bit steep, perhaps xbox will have the deal of the day and the price will be 400-600 ms points intead. They can add so many DLC characters and sim levels, it'd be smarter if they just made them cheaper. no rush to get the DLC, the B2G1 deals made my backlog nvtz. I wonder if they'll give us spiderwoman or anti venom down the road, so the team bonus can be called arachnophpobia.

hopefully they did the new fusions and alt customes good, as much as I love Jim Lee's rendition of psylocke they didn't seem to follow that model.
