  • Redemption Code for full game
  • DVD case with sleeve
  • Data DVD with exclusive artwork (wallpapers, icons, character and content art), 4 trailers and screenshots
  • 8 page color manual with artwork and moves list
  • 1 month free subscription to Marvel Digital Comics ($9.99 value)
  • 2000 Capcom-Unity points - can be used for prizing and auctions

This is actually $5.00 more than the DD but this could be a deal for collector's and fans of the game.

Picked mine up today along with a 1600 MS point card (shadow complex. woo!) since my $50 utalkback gift card finally arrived last night.

Is it true they only made such a short supply of these retail packs?
 
I really don't understand why they did this. How pointless. It doesn't even seem like a useful way to advertise the game, since the case won't be sitting on the PS3 shelf in Gamestop, as they've mostly sold out. The Japanese are so weird sometimes...
 
It kind of sucks how all the extras didn't come with it, but hey, at least I have a nice box and a $10 subscription to marvel comics.

I think it would be awesome if more download games came like this. For one, I don't like to put my credit card in to get games because I don't know secure the networks are, have heard nightmare stories about people getting charged for things they didn't buy and other issues and I also have a tendency to buy things and not mean to when looking at download games and such. Sometimes it is hard to find point cards and then with point cards you have the issue of almost always having leftovers. However, I also like having a case for each of my games, some sort of a physical copy to be able to look and see my entire collection.
 
I need to get a better cover for HD Remix (to include the ESRB logo, Capcom logo, PSN Logo, and the yellow banner, but this will do for now:

FWIW, the Marvel Digital 1-month free is not exclusive to the retail version. I bought the game off PSN and they e-mailed me a code a few days later for that promotion.

Yeah for 15,000 they are still plentiful, a month from now though who knows.

I know. I'm assuming since Capcom didn't really promote this, no one knew about it, so everyone just bought it online.

Edit : Just an FYI, only the first 15,000 purchasers on PSN got a Marvel Comic code.

I bought the game the day it came out, and they e-mailed me the code on 8/18. Bummer you never got it, is your e-mail address on your PSN account current?
 
Yes. I am only worried that somehow it went to the spam folder, but nothing there!

I contacted PSN, and they said that I have contact Capcom whom I contacted and couldn't find my purchase and I sent them a copy of my receipt!!!

I hope they would be able to send me a code and not consider it too late now.

Alright thanks ! The weird thing is I tried using SAVER with this included in my cart and it wouldn't apply so I thought it was just the code. Added another game about the same price and boom shakalaka SAVER worked. Well thanks for clearing that up.

My experience was almost exactly like this.
 
Actually, i own both versions and ive played every version of the game.

to be honest , the level of competition is better on xbox live. all the good players are there. However, offline and online stability, PS3 version is better. The game plays smoother and stutters less if at all.

Xbox ver. has random lag spikes and stutters during matches. online or off.

Unfortunately, PSN support sent me to contact Capcom who say that they have nothing to do with it since PSN is the one distributing the codes!

Guys, I received only two e-mails showing that I put some funds in my wallet and that I purchased the game. Was the code sent on a separate e-mail?

I should have bought that gutted copy at GameStop and got ripped their rather than getting ripped at the PSN :cry:
 
I'm a noob on PSN, and this is the first time I have downloaded a retail code. I entered my code and downloaded the game via the "Redeem Codes" selection from "Account Management" as directed. It downloaded successfully, but it's not listed under "Games" like the demos I've downloaded from PSN. Did I do something wrong or did it download to another section? Thanks.

You have to download the demo. Some games come as 2 separate downloads, the demo and the key to unlock the demo.
 
Thanks. I'll give that a try. I thought something was up when the file was only 6KB. I already had the demo prior to entering the code, and nothing changed after using it. It was still just the demo, not the full game. I deleted the demo, but I'll reinstall it and see if it works.
 
The original demo for MvC2 does not work with the new unlock key. You need to download the new demo and the 6KB file to get the full game.
 
Mother Earth would disapprove of the waste of trees to box up a piece of paper with a code on it. But I say fuck that bitch!
