Mass Effect 2 Discussion - Fight for the Lost

Played through Kasumi's loyalty mission again, this time on my Adept. It's definitely in my top five now (Tali,
Legion
, Mordin,
Garrus
, Kasumi). The presentation of the whole mission is just great.

Also, I won the Dragon Age PC that was auctioned off in the BioWare Bazaar earlier. Looks like I'll be picking up ME2 for the PC soon enough.

Congrats on the PC. That's a nice paint job. Looks like the only downside to it is that it comes with Windows Vista and not Windows 7. I wonder what type of case it is using, since I think I've seen it before?

Congrats, that's awesome. Love the art on that PC.
Nope. Hence my female Shepard is staying faithful to Liara.
You're just hoping you get to pick up from where you left off when ME3 comes out and they go full lesbo again.

Only problem is that in ME1, there's only Liara and Kaiden for a femShep, and I can only wonder what the dialogue is for Kaiden with a femShep versus the dialogue for Liara.

Allegedly genderless. They have breasts. Outside of some old retirees down in Boca Raton, Florida, I don't know of any dudes with breasts. ;)

Hope so. I have no real desire to get it on with either a guy or an alien (yes, I know, I'm roleplaying a character here, but still), so the deck was stacked against my poor fem Shep's sex life this time around. She's so lonely!

(Also, Liara doesn't count as an alien since Asari are just human women + blue facepaint.)

Two sets of breasts, without one of them being man-boobs, that's a lesbian affair. ;)

Though, I don't think of many human women with blue facepaint that have tentacles on their head in place of hair that can't be called an alien.
Dr. Chakwas lesbian romance for ME3! Do it Bioware!
It obvious Dr. Chakwas sort of has a thing for Shepard, so it might be outside the realm of possibility that they toss something in there for a maleShep. FemShep, you never know.

I always interpreted her comments as more of a maternal affection than anything else.

The Kaiden + Fem Shep stuff was actually pretty good. I played the hell out of ME1, so I did everything (pun intended).

I much preferred the dialog between Kaiden and the Fem Shep than the stuff with Liara. There was more of a feeling of breaking protocol and barriers with Kaiden than there was with either of the others.

It felt more like you 'earned' something when it finally went down. Thats what I thought, anyway.
I always interpreted her comments as more of a maternal affection than anything else.
I think it's more than that, from the long conversation you get into with her
over the ice brandy incident
, with some of the comments she makes. Some of it is maternal, yes, though I see something deeper into the comments.

It is when even the ME1 codex recognizes the Asari race as all female.

Can you say "Space Cougar"? ;)

Yeah the Asari resemble females, but their reproductive systems are asexual in that they can adapt to procreate with either gender of multiple species.

Man I feel like a huge nerd for knowing that!
Can you say "Space Cougar"? ;)
Now, that would be news worthy for ME3.

Though, I think we did read all the codex entries on them and can quote them on demand.

Yea, I'm sure we classify Female as someone that has the parts capable of producing babies.

The only clue that she's supposed to be old is the gray hair... She's got the same rockin' body as every other female character model in the ME universe. :) Space MILF!

Good enough reason for me, X. ;)

LOL @ the Chakwas conversation btw. I am all for a Male Shep/Chakwas connection. She's been through and survived just about everything your Shep has so why shouldn't she be properly rewarded? If Joker weren't a part of the crew she'd easily have been my favorite Normandy NPC.

Dr. Chakwas still has game. You know she made all that shit up about the brandy, just to see if she could get you drunk - and it worked. No telling what she's capable of in ME3.

/creepy fan fiction.

Bingo. The guys at that bachelor party in ME2 might say differently.

Hilariously enough I honestly did half expect a drunken intimate confession or awkward sexual advance of sorts from her in ME2. It would have been Mordin tier epic. If a cougar connection is still out of the question for ME3 then they should at least follow through with the bait
Shiala or Parasini
made sure to dangle in front of you before their departure.

I picked up the Kasumi DLC, but I won't be getting to it for a while(same with firewalker DLC) until I finish my Renagade ME1 character, and after I play Dragon Age:Origins.

I would love a system in ME3 where you had the option of one night stands with second-tier characters like Chakwas, Kelly, Shiala, etc., which you then had to either hide from your main love interest or deal with the consequences when they found out. That would be a riot.

Did Ash or Kaidan ever get jealous in ME1 if you decided to get intimate with the Consort?
How the fuck do you get 12k points? It only gives you points for the first game registered... Screw this bazaar crap.
I got points for each Bioware game registered. ME2, DA:O, and DA:OA. It'll only give points for one of each of those, but you'll get them for each game.

People are getting lots of extra points by winning Twitter challenges and getting lots of referral links. I think at this point anyone who hasn't been heavily boosting points is screwed. You only (slight) chance is to barely win some middle of the night auction for some prize that nobody really wants.

Maybe in ME3, the captain's cabin gets even bigger and it turns into a suite with multiple bedrooms.
I don't remember Ash getting upset afterwards, but she was definitely pissed when Liara first got on the ship.
I ended up missing on that point with my ME1 playthrough, so it might be amusing to give that one a try the second time around.

Jack: Someone said they saw Chakwas sneaking into your cabin! Where are you hiding her?

No one's here. Would I lie to you? _\ __ / I'm sorry, it won't happen again.

:applause::applause::applause:

I would sig this masterpiece if I had room, haha. Win. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who caught the minor oversight with the consort on the Citadel. It was the perfect opportunity for either of them (especially Ash) to grill you for behind closed door details but instead they couldn't care less. Then again... with the way Liara dotes on and on about your awesomeness immediately after rescuing her she did a wonderful job of painting a huge target upon her forehead in record time.

Though, a better one might be:

Jack: Someone said they saw Kelly sneaking into your cabin! Where are you hiding her?

Shepard:

She's helping me write you a love poem. _\ __ / I'm sorry, it won't happen again.

You're just starting? You have to finish the Horizon mission before the first loyalty missions start opening up. After that, Kelly will tell you when a crew member has a loyalty mission available.

I got every freebie point available (game registrations, quizzes, Dragon Age character import), won four Twitter challenges (plus another that I didn't notice until after I had already won my auction), and whored the hell out of my referral link. Did you do the game quizzes at all? You get the same point total as registering the game. I got my Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 points from registering the games, but I don't have Awakening, so I did the quiz for that and got the same easy 1750 tokens. You can only do one or the other, though... people would have even higher token totals if you could register a game and then complete a quiz for it.
How do you get Loyalty Missions?
You play the game. They'll start to pop up as you progress.

KingBroly, assuming you have the Cerberus network, you do get one out of the gate with Zaeed, once you download his mission and meet him in-game. I believe it's also the same for Kasumi as well.

For the others in the game, as everyone else is saying, you run into them as you progress through the game.
Thanks! The 6-8 week wait is gonna kill me.
Somehow, I think you'll survive the wait.

And order ME2 on PC in the meantime.

I have one or two of the blackstorm weapon codes laying around.

Anyone who would actually use the code interested? I don't like selling things I got for free; I'd rather pass them to people who'll appreciate them.

Would be sweet, I plan on playing ME2 in a second, stopped right before the last mission.
Is there any point in buying fuel?
Well if you don't buy fuel you instead burn up minerals when you travel between solar systems.
Is there any point in buying fuel?
You need fuel to go in-between star systems within a star cluster, so if you have no fuel, you can't travel between them.

EDI warns you when you're at half fuel, and you can pick that up at the fuel depot in the same system with the mass relay. Same place you buy probes.
Well if you don't buy fuel you instead burn up minerals when you travel between solar systems.
Damn, didn't know you could burn minerals when you're out of fuel.
