You misunderstand, they got buffed ;). Wouldn't you want drones to attract less enemy fire? :)
That's exactly what it implies though in the notes hence the confusion. Turrets attracting less attention is an appreciated buff since they are quite vicious and usually the first thing to get sprayed down on Silver/Gold. I don't have to babysit them. Drones though... eh. Mine barely control aggro as it is. Far too often enemies will completely ignore it after being attacked so I hope you're right.

After testing the Phaeston buffs on a Soldier spec for maxed out weapon damage and headshots (w/ a questionable team of silver randoms and still managed to top them all by 30,000 pts because they pissed me off) it is STILL underwhelming even under AR at a good distance. Mid to close range is sadly where it shines degrading it down to a Revenant knock off even at a X. I have absolutely no clue why it exists at the moment. It's obviously better suited for my Tank Soldier but since mine both play mid to long range I won't bother finding out. It's still a shitty gun IMO.

It's pretty damn sad how hard you have to work as Human Soldier just to stay alive in any game period. They seriously need to buff the class already or decrease the grenade respawn time in ammo crates for christ sake. Just do something... Jesus.

Quick ME2 question: I played the DLC after completing the main game. Will my higher level gained from playing the DLC transfer over in my character save? I know that you start ME3 with whatever level you had upon finishing ME2.
What do you mean by character cards? Training cards? Or the Class Unlocks? Because I'm getting at least 1 Training card per pack right now (Well except that last one, I got an Avenger VI).
They are basically the same thing, I mean the first time you get a card it's an "unlock" and then after that it's exp/skin color unlock

Finally got the cheese mint for all gold mo maps. Dot know what the deal was I beat all the maps several times but glad to get my points.

Yes, it will.

Curious to see how differently decoy runs. I don't doubt it's still useful as hell, but now people might actually have to do shit on White.

Stoked about buffs to the already surprisingly good Hornet. Hopefully the changes to the Geth SMG are noticeable too.

Not really, you'll just see multiple SE's now which is even more boring. I pretty much just leave every GGW lobby I join now.

Yeah, I pretty much only stick around if no one I know is on and I'm desperate for the dollars. I'd much rather be running around murdering in Gold. Maps like Hydra are starting to spoil me.

Alright so what weapons are useless in the game? I have been trying some new guns out and there are some that I find so pointless....what are you guys rocking? Best gun worst gun?

Mattock/Carnifex

Striker/Falcon......pure shit sandwhich.

I don't have much yet in the weapon department having just started, but if single player is any indication, I can see myself rocking the Mattock Assault Rifle once I unlock that.

Just did my first match with my newly unlocked Krogan Vanguard. I...fucking love him.

I may as well ask. So far, I've only been buying Recruit packs. Should I keep doing so for now or should I maybe save up for the veteran packs?

Also, why I may have said this previously (maybe not?), if any of you want an extra person to play with, feel free to add me any time.

Unlocked the Bat Sentinel and Geth Infiltrator....not bad, but I still don't have a single Krogan and it's starting to annoy me. Wouldn't mind trying out that Asari justicar either.

Anyway, I've knocked through 10 of the 27 missions on Insanity in the Campaign towards the unwavering achievement. So far so good!

Once I found the pride and beauty of batarian melee damage, the krogans started to seem inefficient (damn...i'm hanging around geth too much). while I'm glad I unlocked all the race/classes i'd trade 1/2 my unlocks for ones I already have so i can get more appearance options.

as for wpns: my crap list
- Incisor sniper rifle (maybe it's decent at lvl X)

yup that's all...everything else seems to serve a purpose on at least silver difficulty. there's just too much recoil on the incisor. I'll try it out with the turian soldier and see if the stability bonus helps at all.

But don't you have to complete the game to get the import save? I learned this the hard way because I couldn't import a save from ME1 since I no longer had my original 360 any more. I had copied over all the saves but the one it imports is a complete game hidden save. So I had to finish the ending of ME1 before I could import to ME2. Luckily for me I had a save form the midst of Sovereign's attack so I just spent 20 minutes finishing that again (which was interesting as I hadn't played ME1 since a few months after it came out). I assume the same happens for ME2->ME3. So, you might have to do the DLC, then finish up the ending yet again...

You know you can just change the difficulty to Insanity right before the Mission ends and it'll count, right? At least before this latest patch, that's how it worked.

I actually hadn't heard about that, if true. But I'm enjoying playing through so its not an issue.

You can import any save that has the Suicide Mission completed and Shepard alive, no matter how much you've played afterward. Since you can keep playing other missions after the ending, it doesn't work like ME1 with the hidden file.

Also, that trick would invalidate your progress toward Insanity even if it helped you get Unwavering, so if you're going for both you may as well do them legit on the same playthrough.

Played some multiplayer tonight with the Batarian soldier (which I got from my Victory pack) and the Striker Assault rifle I unlocked the other day. That thing is a cannon, but I realized after playing a while that I prefer the run-n-spray method over the slower, heavier hitting stuff. Though it worked wonders on Brutes and Atlases. And I continue to get more sniper rifles and even gold-level upgrades for them. I guess I should try them out but they are even slower/less ammo than the Striker. And they weigh a ton.

BTW, I unlocked the Avenger X on a Recruit pack and it wasn't even a silver (uncommon). It was just a plain ol' common. Got that and the Gunsmith achievement to boot. I'm leveling up the Soldier class just fpr something new to do. It took me a while to figure this out, but that N7 rating is just how many levels you gain with characters, right? That is kind of an odd way of rating because if you just leveled up one class and stuck with it, you'd be stuck at 20 or so (I know you also get bonus points for promoting a character - or at least I did the one time I did it). Even if you went on to play 100 matches with that level 20 character your N7 level wouldn't go up - right? I know mine was stuck on the same number for a while when I ran with the level 20 Geth Engineeer. But now that I am trying out a different class it is shooting up again.

I may just keep playing this until I get all the classes up to 20 and then stop unless they come out with some new wrinkle for multiplayer. I'd also really like to get some Geth weaponry for my Geth Engineer and maybe tackle more silver and finally try gold. I did OK on silver a few days back (with DualEdge). I am way more effective with that Geth Engineer than any other class/character I've tried so far. I've held back several upgrade points on him for the Geth weapon bonus. I suppose instead of waiting I could use them on Overload or something. Then if I get a Geth weapon I could promote and just start over since it doesn't take all that long to upgrade.

Wow, just wow is all I can say to the person that thought it was fine to allow the game to transfer you back to the lobby when a host leaves when you're:
Setting up a new class - If left, you'll have to start all over again with whatever you just tried to customized
Unlocked a Pack - yup trying to read what I got and they leave - no way to see what's new, worst timing ever!!!

My weapon of choice, although I enjoy multiple guns and it depends on class, I'm rocking the Black Widow, Striker, Avenger, Geth SMG, Locust, Hornet, Claymore and Eagle.

Bought another Spectre Pack and unlocked the Javelin and decided to run with that, as an Human Infiltrator using Cryo Blast ^^, in a match before I went back to the Black Widow lol. Some people might not like the lag in-between zoom and shot but I adjusted well to it. It was neat but yeah I'm good there. I still want to unlock a few more weapons but I'm fairly compliant in that area, just need upgrades as my Avenger is X but I think that's the only weapon I have maxed.

Favorite weapons, hm. I think my tops per class would probably have to be Black Widow, Mattock, Hornet, Geth Plasma Shottie, and either the Carnifex or the Phalanx depending on the character.

I'm beginning to see the beauty of the Graal. Once I get better at headshotting with it, I can see it replacing (or at least tying) with the GPS for me. Disciple is also an extremely solid and light shotgun. I've got it at X and it gives +200% cooldown.

I actually tend to swap back and forth between the Widows. I feel like the standard Widow X makes me an honest sniper. You make shots count with that thing, and it helps out in the long run. With those two on the menu though, I pretty much don't even look at the rest of my sniping arsenal.

I love SMGs as fallbacks. I read that the Ultralight Materials are glitched and don't work on any gun but the Geth SMG; haven't actually compared cooldowns on my own, so grain of salt. I tend to pack a Hornet as backup just for shits either way. Never EVER aim down the sights though.

I'm still torn on whether I prefer the Phalanx or the Carnifex. One's a magnum, and one's practically a mini-Mattock. Nailing headshots with the Carnifex is great, but I love spraying and praying with the Phalanx on characters like my Drell Adept.

Also, ended up getting another Geth Engie out of my victory pack. Nothing else to customize on him now. NEED KROGUARD RACING STRIPES.

Disciple at V is giving me 200% CD as well, I might have the 20 reduced weight which most classes have standard. It mainly like it for the weight since the stagger feature it has seems less apparent on gold.

As for the Graal, every wpn in MP that has a charge is godly in damage and accuracy (if you're accurate), knowing Bioware is aware the Kishock is currently bugged gives me hope it'll be more consistent.

Got the Geth Eng as well, now with the pattern 2 I look a lot more like Spidergeth. (pattern 2 looks like broken stained glass window stripes)

SP: so i reloaded my save and opt'd to go with Tali instead of Liara, I'll tag Liara on my Femshep adept run, I envision biotic levtation...Moonraker anyone? While I didn't get the ending I had hoped w/Tali I did get a much to my surprise a happier ending w/the quarian/geth which I didn't think was possible. Hope there's more endearing and entertaining Tali banter in the last missions to come.

banana?

seriously if tali survives any of your playthroughs then the reapers win

just played a FBWGG (host changed last second and i didn't notice) where i kept casting stasis bubble in front of the host so he couldn't ever get any grabs, resulted in so much nasally rage lol

man I love hunter mode!

Fav weapon is definitely the carnifex (mine is V) seems to work well in conjunction with biotics/tech which I rely pretty heavily on usually. Stryker with marksman is fun too. I like the geth shotgun ok too. Snipers are my weak point - I've never been a sniper in any fps-type game and so I've shied away from them here too.

Like the newly buffed SMG's.

Gave my Shuriken X & Hornet II a shot last night in a few bronze games.
Almost the same damage as similar Assualt Rifles- Avenger X & Vindicator II.

Stun enemies with Overload/Energy Drain/Cryo, then walk up and fire 2-3 bursts into them.

Loaded right, they do well as a primary weapon in Silver but can't see it happening with Gold.

Only weapons I will use (so, they are the only good weapons):

Carnifex
Paladin
Widow
Saber
Geth Plasma Shotgun

(I have yet to unlock the Black Widow or Javelin :( )

hey, we like what we like. my PT1 in ME2 I had that violent encounter with Jack downstairs, then reloaded...almost when the whole 9 w/Miranda, then reloaded and fogged up Tali's visor in the end. Oh yeah and somewhere inbetween jumps there was a sprinkling of my assistant who's name I forgot. Adams?

so yeah...Tali got the banana in the end.

lol, stasis trolling...almost worse than standing infront of the party sniper.

I didn't forget her, I just forgot her name. There's a notch in the bed post somewhere. Shepwhore remembers faces...that's why I had to tag Tali 1st run.

my 1st PT in ME2 I was able to save everyone, every...one, then I reloaded because I wanted to do more side missions. Little did I know what changes when you decide to make it a priority to tie up loose ends first.

I still have to get Tali. I have a little over 3100 War Assets right now and I just Paramour'd
Liara
for 3 Loves in 3 games. So that's where I stand at the moment. Hopefully I can get to 5000 before the end of the game. I'd hate to have to to do all of those horrible side missions that are on the Citadel.

I also got my Geth Engineer to Level 20, and I'm not going to "Promote" him. He's too good.

Finally unlocked 2 of the new characters last night. Geth Infiltrator and Asari Justicar. Pretty legit. Tried the Geth Infiltrator with Geth Plasma Shotgun on Bronze and you could have considered it a whack-a-mole game.

I like the N7 Valiant. And that's kind of it, for the moment. The other guns I'd like to use are too low level (I-V) or aren't my style. I tried the Black Widow last night and while it is powerful, it's a little too slow for my tastes.

Oh yeah, I haven't unlocked the Valiant either. :(

I do want to try that, although I would miss the armor piercing effect from the Widows.

The Valiant and BW are both amazing. All falls to playstyle at that point. I put a piercing mod on my Valiant for it's test run and it was sick. End of the day, I just prefer my BWIV though.

the Valiant, is kinda like a mix between the Raptor, Viper, and Incisor. It has a 3 shot chamber, deals moderate damage, moderate weight, and a decent reserve ammo size. The feature that makes it shine is the incredibly quick reload speed.

So, in a way it's like Blackwidow Light w/out the armor penetration built in...it also has a lot less recoil but that's common with most guns that deal lesser damage.

I just got the Geth Eng and already have that class at level 20. Any suggestions on what build to use and what weapon? I notice they have low health and high shields so should I put points into fitness?

I'd say you want the Turret and Hunter mode maxed out. I'm still saving 8 or 9 points in reserve on whatever upgrade gives you the Geth weapon bonus (that might be the last one on Hunter mode) as I have yet to get a Geth weapon. Otherwise I'd max out Overload or put more into fitness, which is the one I think I did the least on so far. Besides chucking the turret out at all times, you will want to use Overload as often as possible in combination with your weapon.
