Nah, the Turian is a Sentinel as well I think. I wasn't confused on classes I just didn't pay any attention to what that was as I just picked it because of the powers (I had yet to get any "Overload" hits so I wanted to chalk those up while scoring credits). I really, really thought the Krogan was a Vanguard though. Like I said, the hazards of playing at 4 am. Oh well...

dirty hookers gave me the batarian soldier, one of the N7 shotguns, and the krogan soldier. (sighs) Batarian soldier's Blade armor is basically telling you should play a melee soldier. It's like Diablo 2's Spikes aura, + DR, and a melee dmg bonus. It also slows recharge powers like tech armor does.

let's see how this goes.

My report on the Batarian Soldier:
- Batarians can't roll (i tried w/and w/out the blade armor active)
- Blade armor is similar to Vega's tech armor, except when you have it active it's very sublte. Blades materialize from your shoulders, not tech or omni glow akin to sentinals.
- they're melee focused, CQC, and get a weight bonus on shotguns and sniper rifles. (fitting for their style of play)
- Ballistic Blades is like a tech shotgun blast, closer they are the more damage they get. Pretty nice actually.
- Inferno Grenade (nothing to report)
- Blade Armor get's melee bonuses, damage reflection to things that melee you, and damage reduction.
- They get good hps and shields.
- overall, it feels more like a sentinal than a soldier class tbh... (checking twice, yup Batarian Soldier)

Harpoon sniper rifle is awesome, you can charge it up while you're moving and fire it whenever. You cannot have it charged while trying to revive someone though. It has 1 chamber chip, but the reload time is almost as fast as the Valiant. I'm going to assume the high damage is true when you charge it fully though. The harpoon unfortunately does not seem to travel at the same velocity as most rounds and sometimes you need to lead your target a bit more than a widow or mantis. It does however do a lot of damage.

How maxed out are you? I personally would go for 6 premium packs, but then again I did have over 30 skill resets before they patched that so I have a grudge against regular spec packs ;)

Premium. Reg = 10 Rares. Prem. = 12 Rares.

I also have a grudge against regular Spectre packs (nothing but trash from them), but the math backs me on this one.

the krogan soldier and sentinal however has increased DR and hps when they're raging in addition to hitting really hard...the batarian seems to just hit hard without having to charge up as well as give back some love when they get smacked. I'm hoping when the brutes charge and hit you they get a significant amount of damage relfected back on them.

the melee animation when wielding a harpoon sniper rifle is cool (batarian).

I'll be on later to layeth the smacketh down.

who knows, wayyy down the road enough ppl will complain about it and you'll be able to trade in consumables for other consumables.

Got a Batarian in my second Spectre pack. I forgot which class, but it just so happened to be for the class in which I'm level 18. :D

I really like the one based on Rannoch more than on Menae. Maybe because it's darker, or maybe because it's one small circle with a bunch of connections piled on top of each other (with a couple random areas that have had nothing happen to them in the playthroughs I've done), but it's probably my least favorite map.
 
Did a Silver run on Hydra with friends and that got me enough mula to grab another Premium Spectre Pack. Geth Infiltrator baby! Yeah sounds like Hunter Mode, activated adrenaline rush like power, is where it's at for this class (other than the tactical cloak of course.
 
Got the Batarian Sentinel, Geth infiltrator, Asari Justicar, Harpoon Gun, Krogan Grenade Launcher Assault Rifle, Geth SMG, and several upgrades to My geth Shotty and a few other trinkets, not too bad overall but still didn't get my Krogan. Got them all regeared, can't wait to try to the Justicar, looks like could be fun.
 
Man I think the last map I new is glacier and I can't seem to beat it with any group. Also I wasted a bunch of credits this morning. Should have just saved them until they updated.

Oh well.
 
ANXIOUS for the Krogan vanguard, Batarian Sentinel is meh, Geth Infiltrator will be great for fast objective snagging but their health is SOOOOOO low. Harpoon gun is crap, Striker is situational and could see if being nice in Silver and Gold where you wanna knocks packs of dudes around with it. Geth SMG is awesome and with lightweight materials is free. Justicar is pretty sweet i think and great at settings up biotic detonations with Pull/Reave or spec into her bubble and anyone entering it gets a 50 dam/sec warp which primes them for a detonation. with reave active and in your bubble all defense minus the last one set to warp instead of the extra 10% damage protection, you can run at 65% damage reduction in the bubble.

its a different dynamic and think an adept, justicar, krogan vanguard or sentinel, and salarian infil is gonna be a beast combo.
 
You guys are lucky, I bought 2 Spectre Packs last night and got shit on. I didn't get anything new at all, just 2 higher level weapons that I already have and don't use, bleh. Still waiting for my Quarian Infiltrator.
 
My girlfriend felt bad that I didn't get the Kroguard and bought me a 1600 point card for packs. STILL didn't get him out of those. DID get a Black Widow IV though, so I'm not about to bitch.

I'm only missing Gethengie and Kroguard right now. Haven't tried the Batarians yet. First impressions have me finding the Justicar rather mediocre, and the Geth Infiltrator a remarkable asset.

Spec'd my Geth's Hunter Mode and Cloak to prioritize damage, and with the Black Widow I'm taking off damn near half of an Atlas' armor coming out of cloak. As stated earlier, his health is garbage, but if you settle into not being seen, he's pretty incredible.

ALSO important, his Hunter Mode shows cloaked enemies. So when I get that first hit on a Phantom stripping it's barriers and it cloaks and takes cover, I can see the bitch the entire time. Free headshots all day.

I naturally want to mess more with all of the classes, but so far the Justicar just makes me miss my Drell. I haven't found a situation where the Biotic Sphere really shines yet, but without Cluster Grenades (and thus, no self detonations on armored targets) she leaves a lot to be desired for me.

I respec'd the krogan "geth recycling bin" vanguard after the last game. Maybe it's partly because I enjoyed Gears 3 as well as watched too much TV during this commerical spot but everytime I biocharge/hvy melee something I want to say "here comes the cole train baby...Woooooo!" and when someone says gives me props for laying the smacketh down I hear "That's the Truth Truth!"

Here's how i see biotic sphere for our geth runs. Pop it when they get bottlenecked in that room, assuming we have a decoy up. Krogan gets into the middle of the bubble and starts smacking geth around. With his tech/biotic armor, DR or DMG boost from inside the bubble he should be able to take things down 25%+ faster.

Big Purple Dinosaur is rdy tonight.
 
Yeah, the sphere will be great for choke points and the like. Especially spec'd to mini-warp enemies within. People seem to be banking on that being the most useful aspect of the Sphere, but I fear they're forgetting that for an enemy to be in the sphere, it has to be right up on your ASS.

You can either make it an offensive or defensive bubble, and on Gold I don't really see the point in trying to fortify your shit. Generally if you're getting hit, you're going down. Maybe I'll try it the other way though; I might be surprised. You do seem to be able to beef up quite a bit. I just don't see a sole-support role being very useful with randoms. There's seldom that much coordination.

If we do play tonight, I'm down for doing other maps or whatever. I'm still cool with White as it's more or less a sure thing, but I think I want to take a little break from Salarian Engie for a bit. I'm missing my other/new dudes.

PS: Spybreak. I'm seeing the SHIT out of Lockout. I love Besson, and that movie looks to have just the right amount of space-cheesiness for me to really get into. Shame most of the trailers airing on TV aren't nearly as good as the ones released online. They just go for the action, but the earlier ones had a pretty good deal of humor too.

just like that one human vanguard is spec'd for geth/white gold...defense bubble on gold should be good when you need to hack the cpu in a less than favorable locale or for that nasty extraction point in Firebase Ghost or with the entire squad uploading in the bubble they don't all have to be in cover.

i think a lot of ppl think classes need to be completely self sufficent to be effective and tend to stray away from the squad mentality...though it could just be we have so many bad random pug experiences as well ME3 MP is more limited than we want to believe.

i'm down for any maps, i still need the achievement and I think beating all the maps on gold will be quicker than being campaign on insanity.

So someone on GameFAQs just mentioned that deleting and reinstalling the DLC before buying a pack guarantees a character or gun from the Resurgence packs. There are a few people corroborating, so who knows. I'ma watch the topic today, but if there's no crackdown, I might try that out to get my last two characters.

Hehe oh yeah I know it, my Geth Infiltrator was awesome and I was communicating with my team of randoms where the high priority targets were. ;)
I got so many headshots too. Also was reluctant to use the proximity mine as I had the grenade ability in my head at the time and was worried I'd be using up an amount of ammo for that lol. Helps taking down those pesky husks that can sneak up on you.
 
I have yet to unlock a new character/weapon after a few Spectre packs.

I'M FREAKING OUT, MAN!

Hell, half my weapons are throwaways sans the Mattock and N7 Valiant. I guess that's keeping my unlockables karma in balance?

I got everything, but the damn Geth(!!!) and Krogran Vanguard. I keep pulling stupid ass Batarians. Oh, and all the new weapons are mediocre as Hell.

The game finally decided to give me a Salarian Engineer and Quarian Infiltrator. Only a month late, and now it keeps handing them out to me...

Dont complain about that. I would probably get and do a dance if I got any new character even if it was a Batarian.

new weapon I, compared to a lot of the standard and up wpns at V, VI, VII + don't usually perform as well or on par. If beating Gold/Enemy is the basis of your observation, yes...some classes/races/wpns don't perform as efficiently as others. Bronze and Silver? For sheer fun factor, the Batarian soldier which I loathed upon receiving first...I'm having a blast with on all difficulties and enemies.

I've gotten the Salarian Engineer and Drell Adept at least a dozen times, so I share your frustration.

Dude, I seriously lost track of how many Krogan Soldiers and Sentinels I got last night. The fucking random number gods are taunting me. JUST LET ME MAKE WREX.

I at least got two Geth Infiltrator cards, so I've got my staple white, red, black color scheme going for him. Small victories.
