I felt the same, its a very Appearent money-grab, the story feels unnecessary, and the series would be just fine without it. I enjoy how the wrap the stories in history, but geez, move along already. Suffers from Modern Warefare Syndrome.

Got mine no problems this morning. Easily still 2 dozen :ps3: at my BB in Salt Lake City. At least 1 more there still with AC1 included.

And yes, it will have a sticker on the front saying AC1 included.
does the ACR with AC1 on PS3 have a different SKU?
No same SKU different UPC but as usual it doesn't matter any copy of AC:R will be $10. CE or LE's that cost more than the $60 versions are the only ones that won't work with the coupons(override needed YMMV)
I finally signed up for Best Buy's gamer rewards like 3 weeks back. I went with the print magazine as reading my video game magazines, in print form, out on my deck in the early evening is...well, its definitely one of the things I look forward to each month. Anyways, I still haven't received my May magazine. Got the April issue when I signed up in store but I haven't received May yet. Probably takes 4-6 weeks to get going. Figures. I definitely would have picked up a 2nd copy of AC for the 360 for 10 bucks. With 5 nephews and 3 nieces, all of whom play games, I could have definitely given that to one of them come his holiday season. Oh well, you win some and lose some.
Call @gamer CS line & they let you know when your next issue is coming & talk to a gaming rep to see if you can use the house coupons
Probably not.
Not same SKU different UPC still works for $10 ^^^
Does it say on the case that it contains AssCreed 1?
look back over the last 2-3 pages there's a pic

Got my copy. Thanks for the head's up, they had plenty of the xbox variety at the Winter Garden Village BB.

Another successful return/rebuy+coupon.

When I walked through the door today (I had the game in a blue BB bag), they asked if I had a return and put a pink sticker on it. I hate stickers, it came off fine...minor inconvenience.

This didn't happen the 1st time.

Also they asked for my ID...not sure if they were checking the age or keeping track of me on their computers.

AC:R seems like a solid deal, not going to make a special trip but if there is any ps3 copy's tomorrow left on my way to work I'm in.

asscreed rev became just a meh deal today. didn't have any ass1 copies at the first store so i had to drive to a second one. at least i found the ass 1 copy there. wasted an extra few $$$ on gas so this turned out to be just an ok deal. still happy though.

Provided you don't act like a total douche or like they owe you something (even if they do), in my experience employees will usually help you. Last month I walked in for the homefront deal and was like "hey I bought unlocked, but didn't get the magazine... any shot I can just use the coupon from back there?". The employee was more than glad to do it and gave me zero issues. Towards the end of the month one of them pointing out I was unlocked and I was like it's cool I guess, but I didn't get his months issue. Without a word more the guy was more than happy to give me a free one.
does the ACR with AC1 on PS3 have a different SKU?
As far as the combo pack working, it will 100% work. Every BB item with a pack will work with these deals or was at least true with FF XIII-2, Batman and now ACR. Additionally you have to remember that the AC 1 promo was across the board, I saw them at Meijers too, so Ubisoft has NOTHING to gain by making it a hassle for retailers.
None of my copies at my Best Buy had the sticker. Oh well. :(
Finally the copies with the image are NOT stickers. The part that says includes AC 1 is part of the games actual box art and IS included on the actual disc.

Nice i went to BB to get my 5 dollar bad company 2 and i picked up assasins creed revelations too. Didn't see any with the free assasins creed 1 but the girl working there found what she said was the last one for ps3 in the back. She said

Also picked this up when I went to pick up my online order for the $5 BC2 deal. The Joplin BB had plenty of the PS3 combo packs that included the original AC.

I guess I'll go check and see if any of the best buy's close to me have any copies of AC Revelations left for either system.

I got both copies of assassins creed revelations (360 & ps3) with the coupon in this months issue, so I'm good for this month

My BB has been sold out of the AC1 included since March so I didn't bother fishing for one out.
I already have a copy from Target anyhow, I'm just using this to round out my 7th trade-in game for GS.

I was able to get the last copy of AC Revelations for PS3 with AC1 at my local Best Buy. I was about to settle for the copies without AC1, but I decided to look at an endcap that featured the @Gamer magazines, and it had a bunch of the games on sale this week (AC R, FF XIII-2, Prototype etc), and saw one copy left there.

These @Gamer coupons are great, and the subscription is well worth it when they have great prices on games like this.

Thanks again for the heads up on the deals! scored Assassin's Creed Revelations for 10.08, used 5.00 dollar points I had. I really should go ahead and drop 15 and get the sub at this point after saving and scoring Batman last time with the same kid of deal, heck if nothing drops in the fut at least Ill get some reading material.
Do this @Gamer coupons not work for PC copies of games??
My coupon says 360 and PS3. I don't think they have ever worked for PC.

Grabbed one of the two AC:R copies my store had with AC 1 included...couldn't pass it up even though I never even finished AC 2. Also broke down and finally upgraded to unlocked instead of just buying the magazine for $5 a second month in a row. Thanks again, OP!

Crap. That's right. This is the last week to use them. While I know they can't do insane deals like Arkham City and AC: R every week, it just seems like they phoned it in this month for the most part compared to other months.

Best Buy Gamer dude at West Covina store told me I couldn't use the $20 off coupon on AC:R since it was already on sale, pointing out the fine print saying "cannot be used w/ other discounts". I told him I've used these coupons before on previous sales w/o issue, and asked him to just scan it anyway. Guy said that "I know it will go through, so we're just supposed to make sure not to scan it". He then asked me if I wanted to speak to his manager about it, and I said "Um, sure?"

Manager comes by and she talks to her employee about this (never addressing me) and just ends up scanning the coupon and letting me get the game for $9.99. Then the guy gives me my game and says "Just letting you know, we're doing this for you this time, but next time you won't be able to use a coupon on a sale item. It's the manufacturers, not us, they get mad when we let people use coupons on stuff we have sales on."

Seems like a worker is trying to make the world 'right' all by himself.
The 'manufacturer?'. What the fuck? Why would the publisher or developer care what BB does once they've purchased a certain merchandise from them? Ugghh:roll:. Why do people just like to lie when they know they're in the wrong?

Managed to grab Revelation with the first game as well for ps3
Gotta love Best Buy :D
Luckily my best buy has a bunch of copies with and without the first Assassins Creed

I had something similar at the south coast plaza one. The gaming guy said I couldnt use the coupon on sale items since people were flipping them ( didnt say flipping but described it) and so I went to the regular registers and got it. After the guy rang me up the supervisor talked to him about something and she was looking at me while he was ringing me up so I assume she was talking to him about the couppns

Well that's your first experience with a BB worker that refuses to honor the coupon with a sale attach. Here in NYC, I got two & i have to travel an hour & a half from my place to go where my friend works. Just to get a game.
I dislike those kind of people.

Same thing happen to me back in March in Union square, but the guy took my ID & the coupon & when to the back to talk to his manager. He say that he can't do nothing because the game is on sale & the machine wouldn't honor the coupon. So I took the game & brought it up front with the other cashiers & BOom it work.

Says RIGHT in the magazine last month or the month before that it can be used on sale items. You should really find that article and jam it in their faces.

Or better yet simply ask him to read the back of the coupon where it states "Markdowns taken from sale price" and ask him to scan the coupon. If he won't do it go to another cashier or customer service. If it's double dipping (which it's not) their system will not allow the use of the coupon.

I got lucky with my return/rebuy today. I used the @Gamer coupon on the original purchase 11 days ago (before the news of this sale). The employee first told me that a price adjustment couldn't be done because it would void the coupon and I'd owe him $10. Then he told me that I couldn't even return the game outright and get my $20 back because of the coupon. After a little persuasion, he returned the game and gave me my $20. He scans the game again and couldn't figure out what to do since I didn't have the coupon for him to scan. I gently suggested that the coupon SKU might work, so he typed it in and voila. $10 AC Revelations with AC1 on disc (still plenty left at the Centennial store in Las Vegas).

Picked up a copy of ACR for PS3.

I was very surprised that they had the version with the first game bundled with it!

And best of all... it says it is on it's own disc.

Thanks BB.

Man, I already got Assassin's Creed for $10 with the Target coupon thing a few weeks ago. Didn't even play it since I don't have a PS3. Wasted that coupon. Oh well. I'll still get another copy with Best Buy's coupon and just sell it or something. At least Best Buy doesn't have their game cases bent like Target does.

If you still have your Target receipt, buy it at best buy and return the sealed copy. Nothing illegal about that. I was able to exchange dead rising :eek:tr for Ashura's Wrath last week, manager made it an even exchange. Ymmv, you may have to try a couple of targets.

This. It says it works with sale prices right on the coupon.

I had no issues getting ACR for 10 bucks. Went in, grabbed the game, went up front to check out, and after using some credit paid 1.61 out of pocket for the game. Guy who rang me up was even like wow, great deal, im gonna grab this when I leave.

Not sure why some of you have ran into douche bags, but never have issues with my store. Even on penny guides I didnt have an issue. They do a great job at pulling though so only found some once...

I had no issue with ACR for $10 either. In fact, BB sent me an email with $10 future-use credit a few weeks ago to apologize for closing the store closest to me. They had no problem applying both, so I got the game for $0.81 OTD :)

In an issue either last month or the month before, there's a letter in the G@MER magazine asking this question and the editors replied, stating that they can be used on sale. I would pull that out next time and show it to them.

Then the guy gives me my game and says "Just letting you know, we're doing this for you this time, but next time you won't be able to use a coupon on a sale item. It's the manufacturers, not us, they get mad when we let people use coupons on stuff we have sales on."
You can shut them down by showing them the "markdowns taken from SALE prices" on the back of the coupons.
picked my copy of ACR today, well worth the $10. any news on June @Gamer
Will make the thread by mid week having a hot thread with a $10 game & the new tends to confuse people who post in the wrong thread with ?'s about games not in the new mag. I don't have the new coupons yet though otherwise I'd still post them here for a preview.
Sell it you can easily double your money in cash on CL + get RZ points(small on this one but they add up)
I had no issues getting ACR for 10 bucks.

Doesn't the coupon say that employees are ineligible for these kind of deals?
