I was just there at lunch. On a large fries and their new chicken sandwiches, you get a Best Buy buck (worth $1 at Best Buy) guaranteed with a 1 in 3 chance of getting a $3 piece. You can use these in-store and online. You can only use up to $3 worth on a CD or DVD, but you should be able to use as many as you want on games. I ordered a large chicken sandwich meal and ended up with 2 $3 bucks and a free sandwich. Good luck!

EDIT:

HEre are the official redemption rules. Other than the $300 limit per visit, I see nothing in here that would prevent you from stacking them on games.
I still don't understand the rules on video games but okay. If I missed the following in this thread please ignore.

If you send a (handwritten) SASE to McDonalds you get a best buy buck thing (either $1 or $3) WITH the two game pieces. You can do this as many times as you want. So $.7X = $1+ in value at BB + game pieces.

What stopped me from doing this a hundred times was the fact that I didn't know whether video games would be restricted. It looks like they will be. So...no real point in doing that unless you want to be thrifty (get your CDs and DVDs $3 off) or you don't want to get fat by buying food to get pieces.

Of course then you'd get all the coupons for free food to make you even fatter! I dunno.

Somebody should post all the relevant mailing info if it hasn't already been posted. I am lazy/tired.
Does anyone know what address to send it to? It's a better value to send a letter and receive the BB bucks plus you don't have to worry about gaining weight.
I already won $8, just from two large fry boxes. I need an mp3 player, or maybe I'll save towards Burnout Revenge or something.
How did you get $8 out of two boxes, which should have one coupon on each?
How did you get $8 out of two boxes, which should have one coupon on each?
like to know that was well since the best buy bucks are either

1 buck or 3 bucks

I think this is the right website:

Monopoly Best Chance Game 3.0 at McDonald's
Game Piece Request
P.O. Box 49519
Strongsville, OH, 44149

Oh and of note...on the return envelope you gotta write your address as the return address I think. So it'll take a little longer to write. Good return on your time + money if you're quick about making the envelopes (they all gotta be handwritten).
How did you get $8 out of two boxes, which should have one coupon on each?
Should have mentioned... there were two loose game pieces in the bag for some reason. :)

EDIT: Read the rules that were posted above. I'm a bit confused. So... is it possible to use more than $3 on a DVD or CD?

It doesn't sound like it. Sounds like you can only use 1 $3 Best Buy buck or 3, $1 Best Buy bucks on a DVD or CD. It was like that last year as well.

Hmmmmm...

I've been debating this (especially since I live about a block away from a McD and have two not very far from my office), but I had a lot of trouble last year using the BB Bucks on games. In fact, I tried to use about $20 during last year's game on GTA:SA when it game out, and the manager tried to pull the "no more than 3 dollars in BBBucks, etc." on me, until he and I went over the rules and they never mentioned video games. (I got the game nearly half off - of course I fought for it!)

But even when I tried to use five at a time, I had to get management approval - so I'm really surprised they didn't include video games with the DVDs and CDs this time. ::shrugs::

Oh, well. At least I can use it for games or something.
Can it be used towards a MP3 player that is not of the Apple brand? Say Iriver
I hope so. If I don't get a game, I'll put my money towards a cheap flash memory player.

This game is awesome for McDs addicts. I wiegh too much way too much (Think more like Fat Albert than the COS), but now I can take my Segway down to the corner and hook up with some free food and BBBucks. I love this country.

BTW I read all the info, and it says NOTHING about not using the BBBucks on Video Games. Except. . . You can only buy a limit of THREE of the same title video game. (None of this 3 BBBucks y'all talking about) And the whole $300 for one visit per day.

Also did anyone notice the not more than 40 promotion codes for the online store. And not more than $300 on the online store at one day? That just doesn't compute. IE 40 x 3 = $120? Can anyone clarify?

Geez, talk about luck. Two loose BB game pieces, not even the regular Mono pieces. Congrats, and I hate you.

Thanks, and you aren't the first (or last) person to hate me.
Well, I'm 4 for 4 on $3 pieces...got 2 more today, and a free breakfast value meal!

What have you gotten the $3's on?

I would try the fries. I've had great luck with the fries. Two $3 pieces so far.

Heh!
Last year, some of my pieces were already removed when my food was handed to me, and I didn't realize until I was driving away. Went back, and they had no problems just yanking a ton and giving me a LOT more than I was missing. (Maybe not a ton, but they gave me twice as many back as my order, which was something like a total of 8 game pieces and I was only missing two. I ended up getting game pieces for ALL 8...how could I argue?)

...kinda makes you wonder if this is a secret bonus for the employees - when no one is looking, of course. ;)

I kid, I kid.

i stopped and got 1 fry after the doctors and got 1 buck and 2 lame pieces ... im going to stop tonight after work and get 2 more fries... my two dogs hate this time of year cause they have so many fries to eat : )

Just don't have pancakes close to a dog. It's not safe!

i think it was 128 i figure what it was a year or two ago and it was just a little less then drinking a 2 litter of pop I was like WOW!!! that is a lot of suger

1 is a mutt small mutt and the other is a long hair pik.

hehe in dallas we still have the supersize option (well as long as you ask) and we have 2 big mac for 2.22! but i dont think the big macs has game pieces or bb bucks!

The online game is a bust so far for me. In one lap around the board, I landed on both utilities, income tax, and just visiting jail. What a waste.

Online game? Didn't know about an online game. I'll check that out.

If any of you are extremely hardcore you will look in the dumpster for people who don't want 1 BB buck.
Online game? Didn't know about an online game. I'll check that out.
Every game piece you get has a code at the bottom. You enter it online to move around a virtual Mono board. When you land on a space, you collect that property. The game piece code doesn't correspond with the space you'll land on, you just roll the dice. I think the prizes are slightly different online than they are for the in-store game.

I got $3 on a chicken and a large fry. $1 on a chicken yesterday.

As far as video games. I read the rules as use as many as you want. So you could probably buy a game with just BBbucks as long as it doesn't cost over $300.

My question is, can you use it on sale items?

picked up 2 fries after work today and both were 3 BUCK winners wooo

so far havent won any food items or nothing online

so far Im broke even maybe up 40 cents

I, too, find nothing that says you can't use (practically) unlimited Best Buy bucks on video games. DVDs are a bust, but these should be quite good for video games these time around. Wonder what the potential for profit is to SASE some bucks, buy new games, and sell them to ebgames/gamestop...all depends on how often you get $3, I guess.

Same here! Tally is at $14 BB. I'm lovin' it. Now to work off the McDonald's.

Worst case, you'd make 63 cents per attempt. Realistically then you could send in 50 envelopes for $18.50, and get a $50 game for free. So there's plenty of profit to be had there, or just plenty of cheap games. Heh... that's almost as good as what I"m getting GR preorders for ($10.80 ea. right now)

Edit: Scratch that, it's two stamps per, isn't it? So you'd get a game for $37. Nevermind on the profitting. Just stick with getting games cheaper.

Awesome, HOT AND NOW! I haven't seen one of those in 6 years... I have great memories of buying the 6 burger/6 fries combo for $6 and splitting it with a friend. Not the best, but it was Hot and it was Now (at least back then it was Now).

Yeah, you need 2 stamps but it still can be worth it depending on if you want to play the game anyway besides the Best Buy bucks. The way I see it is this- even before the Best Buy bucks I always used to really enjoy the monopoly game (funny as I am typing this a commercial for the promotion is on TV) so I used to send away for game pieces in past years as well. For the $0.80 in stamps and envelopes, you are guarnteed at least $1 back now. But in addition, you are taking a chance on getting some prizes (unlikely I know) and at the very least some free food.

Last year I think I spent about $10 on stamps and envelopes, got $12 in Best Buy bucks (got an Eye Toy game for less than half price), 2 free months of Gamefly, and I think 5 free food items so it was worth it for me even with just getting $1 Best Buy bucks.

yea it sucks no gamefly or pogo this year... how much the prizes fell i wonder if they will even be online next year

So basically, you're gonna spend food on money that kills you, to get back just to get non-fabulous prizes, and money that is only redeemable at one chain?....I'll stick the GGC, thanks.

I know, I'm sure the gf will put it to use. I'm no photographer.

there is really nothing good to win online this year... if there was i would be buying some of these game tickets off ebay.... at least last year you knew if you spent 50 bucks on 200 game pieces you knew you had a good chance at winning at least 3 free months of Gamefly so you made your 50 bucks back... this year there is nothing worth 50 bucks winning unless you hit the big prizes (stop and free parking) and those chances are slim to none
can i use these things on an ipod? cuz i already have some best buy gift cards so would i be able to use a bunch of these on an ipod

on another note, does mcdonalds still do 99 cents chicken nuggets? if so im there tonight!
As memory serves, McDonald's has never offered a 99 cent nuggets- that's a Wendy's thing.

What I wonder is- everything says 'limit $3 on any singleDVD or CD'

So, if you buy more than 1 CD or DVD, do you get a)as many coupons as you want, b) $6, or c) still $3?

I believe they did during a couple of summers in a row, putting all of the chicken nuggets on sale. 9 pieces (still 9 then) going for $1.49, 20 piece or whatever was like 3 bucks. This was also before they did the whole white meat deal.
