I'll have to download that Halo trailer. Luckily it looked like the normal Halo stuff, so I didn't miss anything huge.

I'm going to give Microsoft a C+ for this conference.
 
I can't believe G4 just cut out in the middle of the Halo 3 In game footage...

Are they trying to make me never watch their station again?!

For once I agree with you.

Microsoft didn't have a good show, but the showed of all there stuff, that is going to be a lot better than the competitions.

Also, the CAG Chat was insane. It was like 500 Lines a minute. There were like 26 users but the chat would not stop moving. For the Sony and Nintendo even we need to make smaller rooms on AIM or somethin...

Dude I'm pretty sure almost everything in that sony lineup you just quoted will come out this year. So yyyyeeeahhhhhhhhhhhhh (lumberg voice)
 
That was a really underwhelming press conference; I was at least expecting a price drop announcement, but I guess it was unlikely considering the new warranties.

CoD4, RE5, and Assassin's Creed look good, but as others have pointed out, they're all multi-platform games. Still, it's good for Microsoft that they're getting RE5. My friend, who's a diehard RE and MGS fan and and just bought a 360, will be pretty happy to hear about that.

I never understood Halo's popularity, so I won't comment on the footage they displayed at the end of the conference.

I'll still get some good 360 gaming in this year with Mass Effect, Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata, and Assassin's Creed. I can't shake off this annoying urge to get a PS3 though (probably because of the price drop), as for some reason it just seems like it's going to have the games I'm going to want to play down the line.

You do make a good point. Both Nintendo and Sony will mostly be showing what they plan to do in 2008. They don't have a lot to compete with, for sure, this season.

Doesn't matter, E3 is where you showcase what you have, and what they showed us...we've mostly seen already. I guess i'm looking forward to the PS3 games more than the 360's...
 
I thought the conference was O.K.

Not enough surprises, and it was awkward in a few spots.
 
What a shittyass conference. I gotta admit, AC looks good. COD4 looks good as well. GTA 4 looked like shit back then, and it still does.
Woops, forgot to mention RE5.

I wish they would've shown more of the games I wanted to see... BioShock, Mass Effect, Eternal Sonata, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, and RE5. And less crap like Games for Windows (except for GoW, which will pwn), old shitty games on Live Arcade, and stupid Rock Band/Halo 3 music people.

what is everyone talking about!?!! Lair comes out in a month, Uncharted is scheduled for the fall hopefully, Ratchet in november, lets wait and see what they have to say. And I would HOPE microsoft would have these titles coming out this fucking year they've been talking about them long enough.
 
I had a Halo Xbox... it was awesome. This new one? CRAP. No price drop? What the crap. That is retarded. Now I don't know what to do? Bite the bullet and buy one at $400... or wait and see if they drop the price later? Hmmm...
 
I'm happy a got a 360 Elite, with AC6, RE5, and Halo 3 coming down the pipeline. But seriously, where's my price drop! :)

Do you honestly think Killzone 2, which has been shown 1 time in the last year+, is going to make it to 2007? And even if it does, the original Killzone sucked ass, why everyone is so excited about it, simply because of A CGI TRAILER, is beyond me.
 
wasn't bad - just no surprises, and 99% 2007 content. Which is fine, because we have 6 months still to enjoy this year, right? (counting what's left of july).

Why is everyone hating on the conference?

I thought it was pretty solid, and like someone said, awkward at some points, but overall solid. Not as good as some of the years prior, but still, you can't win them all. I'm very excited for this Holiday, especially for the XBLA
