A very happy Christmas, when I was 7. Think I was grinning a bit too hard, though.

Looks like the SNES was the only technologically advanced thing there.

And damn it all to hell, the res I have my monitor set at for my desktop isn't available from my laptop. I use 1280x800 63h. The only rate availabe at that res on my laptop is 59 and 60. Which causes it to flicker.
so this warner news has worked out for me so far.

Some guy is trading me Bourne 2 and 3 HD-DVD for my blood diamond BR.
nice

I'm a member of the Mile High Club.

I got it pretty fast too (15 minutes), compared to some of the other horror stories I heard.

First shot, zew?

I worked on it for 1.5-2 hours the first time I tried it, and then took like 3 weeks off 'cause it was frustrating me and I had finals.

I tried it again last week (cold, no less) and got it in about 30 minutes.
Well, this is antoher fine mess you've gotten us into. Well, here's another nice mess you've gotten me into.
fix'd heh. Don't worry about it, it is a common misconception. Take it that you're a Laurel and Hardy fan as well?

the only one I have is 1280x800 and 1680x1050. Might it be that I'm running the HDMI out to the DVI in on my monitor with an HDMI->DVI cable (monoprice ftw, btw). Or just say screw it and unhook the VGA fro my desktop and just run it to my monitor?
What's that quote in your sig from, Mak?
It's from Futurama (episode: A Head in the Polls).
Did you ever answer me about the Axxxxx drug that's eating your hair?
Accutane. And prob not. What was the question?

that shit is nasty. i dunno about in PA but in NY you're required to sign a contract with your doctor before it can be prescribed stating that you will not procreate within 6 months of taking the medication, and that you agree to use atleast 3 forms of birth control. accutane causes some of the most horrific birth defects you'll ever see.

Wtf are you talking about? I thought zew said he had sex on a plane.

EDIT: Oh, it's some stupid CoD4 thing?

Respect massively lost there, guys.

Yup. I grew up on that shit. Sorry about the misquote, it's been about 12 years since i've seen one.

Yeah, one shot. I didn't want to go through it again, so I took my time to line up a shot.

That is a great deal. Both look fantastic on HD DVD.

I meant if it was your first time trying to do Mile High Club.

I had to redo it like 6 times because I was rushing it.
I did get to the VIP 6 times straight though, in the course of those attempts, which was pretty cool.
If you traded/bought a used copy of Dragon Quest VIII, would you expect it to come with the cardboard box that encased the regular DVD case?
You mean a cardboard sleeve? I'd probably ask about that to be sure. Could be the person didn't know that game had a sleeve. I didn't.

Ah you're the trader/seller? I guess just ask the guy if he cares about it or not.
You mean a cardboard sleeve? I'd probably ask about that to be sure. Could be the person didn't know that game had a sleeve. I didn't.
I don't think the game is listed as having one... I suppose I'll look for a box so I can fit it all if possible.

I wonder if I should include the extra case insert and extra "sleeve" I have kicking around...
That is a great deal. Both look fantastic on HD DVD.
Yea saw some guys 2 HD-DVD for 1 BR thread on highdefdigest and couldnt resist.

Well, I guess I'm stuck with my rez at the 1680x1050 for my monitor. Though, at least using the VGA out on my laptop instead, I can extend my display area heh
But what happens when HD-DVD loses and you have to buy those two movies all over again?
Its not like a self-destruct signal is going to go out, they'll still work. Considering i only paid like $8 for Blood Diamond from amazon, its a no brainer.
They live near them Catskills, those lucky people.
That means they're privy to the comedic stylings of Shecky Greene! Lucky.
Mak is from PA right?
You know, my partner is originally from Syracuse. He moved from there to work in Memphis because he got promoted back in mid 2005

Oh yeah? From where abouts? I moved up here a year ago. I used to live down by Frost and Chika, but I grew up on the border of NY and PA.

Mak, which part of PA do you live?

About an hour northeast of Harrisburg.

Next time I talk to him (hopefully tonight, but I know in the morning I will), I'll ask him. I don't remember him saying anything about East Syracuse though
aka midle of fucking nowhere.
Correct. I generally have to travel 30+ minutes one way to get to any store of importance.
I used to chill in Scranton and Wilkes Barre.
As did I when I lived in Bloomsburg. Which reminds me, I have to send the forms in to get my alumni license plate.
Christ, Bioshock is so good.
I loved it. Not just for the story and gameplay but because of the atmosphere and art work (vintage ads etc).
