How much is the ticket? It sounds like fighting it might be more worthwhile.
I actually don't know yet - there's no amount written on it.

I'm supposed to call the court to find out, but my dad's still trying to figure out the best way to handle the situation. I'm tempted to do it in writing and probably will because I can't afford any kind of real representation, but I have a feeling that that wouldn't be enough to get the ticket reduced.
Glad you're okay!

I'm sorry, Walrus, that sucks. I'm glad you're okay.

glad you're aight, walrus.
Thanks. Not being dead is always nice, though the odds of that happening with this kind of accident would be slim at best. :)
Likewise. I was struggling for quite a bit of it, but when I got to the roof where you cross over and the speed zombies bombard you, I simply couldn't do it.
That's right where I am too. I don't see how I can get through unless I jump into the tank immediately, find a way to the ground, then pick up some stuff to throw at them. I'm going to give it a shot again tomorrow, but methinks I'm going to give up on this one.

Oh, no, sorry, I was referring to a part after that, almost near the end of the level. I was able to do everything before that fine; only one part really gave me trouble. You'll know what I mean when I say this: elevator.

Yeah, I know what you're talking about. I still think I'm giving up on this one, though. Too much hassle that gets in the way of having fun with the game.

I felt the same way. The loss of fun wasn't too big of a deal for me because it was probably my 4th run through the game, but it still didn't feel worth it for, what, 20 points?

I was, however, able to make it through Ep1 firing only one bullet. :)

Well I went by GS today and got that Assassin's Creed Art Book preorder bonus for free, then I went and played Football with friends and there were...... LARPers there, it was kinda funny. Alright night OTT.
Wait...Settlers of Catan? For what system?
That Circle. I wanted to introduce it to my wife, but there was no local multiplay :bomb: We settled for Carcassonne.

I DLed the Catan demo but I haven't tried it yet.

No local multi for a game that sounds to me to be a multiplayer game is pretty stupid.

I really like the game, but not being able to play it when friends are over is silly. Maybe I missed something, and I really hope so, but man, that cheeses me off right now.

I think it has something to do with being able to see the other person's "hand" (like poker).
I don't know, since I've never played Catan.

Doesn't seem too stupid to me if that is the reason.

Oh. Well if so then that makes sense, but I've never played the game and have no idea how it works.

It is, and seems like a huge knock against the game.

That said, Wikipedia says that there's a DS version coming out later this year. Given that I've already got a DS and that $30 for a game is a lot cheaper than buying a 360, I might have to look into it.

I do have a friend who's big into board games, though, and there's a chance he might have it. I know he has Axis and Allies (which sounds way, WAY too slow paced for me) and Munchkin (which sounds awesome, but I haven't been able to play it yet), but I've got to ask about Catan.

Yeah, but you see what cards they are getting each draw, so if you had a decent memory, it wouldn't matter anyways. At the very least, you have an idea of what kinds of cards the other players are getting.

Why not just have local multiplay work on the honor system?
It's an arcade game. A lot cheaper than $30.
Yeah but he's have to shell out $350 for a 360.

Catan is a great game. And part of the strategy is seeing what other people have while it's dealt.
Explosions in the Sky are playing around here in April.

Cool. Oh, and fuck you. ;)

Have you listened to PRR yet?

Haha, it's only $12, too.

I haven't yet, but I will definitely do that tomorrow. Maybe after my interview. :)
Noice.

PRR is better than whatever you're listening to now, by the way.

Where are you interviewing?
Not listenin' to anything right now, so you're right!

This place called SJS Acquisitions. It's a marketing firm that I'm hoping will take me in as an entry level publicist.
I'm definitely enjoying Halo 3 XBL more than COD4.
You can keep your flying bodies and shouting twelve year olds. We don't need 'em.

The fuck are you waitin' for then, nig nog!? Get listening.

Publicist seems kinda completely unrelated to being a writer for a paper. Good luck, nonetheless.

I'm gonna finish up Little Brother's Getback and then go to bed.

Oh, how little you know. ;-) I read plenty of that PR shit as a reporter and did my fair share of hyping up events, so I have some experience.

If anything, it's wider than widescreen TFN. There should be an older castrated DVD rip with the sides cut off so it'll fit nicely on your TV though.

Woohoo, do you get HBO at your gammy's?

Wubb, feel free to send me an invite if you're doing legendary coop. I desperately need to go through that so I can snag the final two achievements and 250 points. I can help with any skulls you need.
fuck fuckity fuck, school for the first time in over two weeks tomorrow.

fucking balls.

Night OTT.
Oh jeez cry s'more.

I'm fucking stoked for classes! Unless its not a new semester for you. Then it would suck having been gone two weeks having to know shit.

He's in high school, so he's probably going back to the same thing.

I was gonna suggest you check out the new and final season of The Wire, as it premiers tonight on HBO. This season they're taking on the media/newspaper business and essentially calling bullshit on it, figured you'd find it interesting considering your current situation.

It's also my favorite show evar and felt obligated to plug it.

He's still in high school, so that's probably the case. ;)

My classes actually started Thursday, for who knows what fucking reason. So far, they haven't been bad, but my thermodynamics class has got a professor who's never taught before. Combine that with the facts that his voice doesn't carry at all, the blackboard is almost impossible to read, and the class is full to capacity, and it looks like it'll be a rough ride.

I'd try getting there sooner, but I've got a class immediately before across campus. If he starts using a mike and writes bigger, it won't be so bad...but Friday was hell.
