Minder Deals Gone Bad - Now in police custody - Victims please contact the police!

One thing I've learned on is unless someone died or something or their ass is somehow taking heat from the problem (ie media exposure) the authorities generally do not give a shit about solving the problem.
 
A few days ago I received a letter from the Glendale Police Department stating that they were in the initial stages of processing my police report (I assume that all the information was forwarded by IC3.gov because I never directly contacted Glendale PD). Seeing as how I received my iPod already, I gave them a call today to drop the charges on my part but I did receive some bits of information and this seems to be even bigger than we had all originally thought.

I gave the officer a brief account of my situation and he was already aware it and of 3 others that have been scammed (I assume he meant mannysgoldglove, BigHow, and thebob101). This hasn't been exclusive to just CAG however. He stated that they have confiscated Minder's computer 2 weeks ago and they found that there were 45 other iPods that were supposed to be sent out. I also got the impression that Minder is in pretty bad shape and he wants to fix this mess and move on.

I wanted to ask him what other websites besides CAG had the 45 outgoing iPods but it wasn't really my business so I told him he could drop any charges from my end and thanked him for his assistance. Glendale PD seems to be on the up and up regarding the situation so hopefully everything works out for you guys soon.

P.S. I forgot the officer's name but the number to Glendale PD is 623-930-3000.
 
Awesome! I can't believe they already have this guy's computer in custody= totally mindblowing performance, given some low expectations. May this lead to refunds or products for all involved!
 
yeah thats a big hit considering he had more then CAG to repay off. obviously out of control. that must be a crazy case on their end, look at all the trouble he caused.

Well, after months of this crap, I finally received a refund from Paypal. Minder must of settled up with his Paypal account and refunded the money. Anyone else receive a refund or their iPods?

I got so fed up with Paypal when the put my account into the negative (my bank reversed the transaction, but I was still out my Paypal balance), I called up and told them that I would never use my account again and they would never receive their money. A few days later is when my account was credited the cash. Never hurts to try.
 
Just heard from the Peoria Police Dept in Arizona. "Minder" is currenly in custody and they are seeking further prosecution. It appears he was selling stolen property.

Nice, I received a call from a store owner about the merch Minder sold, but unfortunately, the iPod he sold me was long gone so I couldn't help (would of loved to)
