Angels squeaked out a win against the dodgers. Was a questionable call to end the game, but the base-runner was careless. Watch out Rangers!

Dodgers had a ton of base running mistakes in that game. Fuentes was horrible and didn't even get one out due to his pitching.

Fuentes has been horrible for a lot of this year. I know a lot of it has to do with the injury, but I liked Rodney as the closer at the beginning of the season, and I wish the Angels would put him back in.
 
Baseball needs to up their Roid Testing when a balding midget ruins the integrity of the sport. Child molester brother was probably sharing roid shakes with Big Poopi in between at bats.


At least I got to see Papelbum blow another game to a legit team.

Rangers win again. Who cares if it's against the pirates. Feldman was off big time last night, but Darren Oliver came in and just shut the down. Hamilton boosts his hitting streak to 18 and moves about a .500 average for the month.

Rangers also have the most walk off hits this year. Thank you, Vlad Guerrero.
 
I hope Bobby V can still manage after being in Japan and working on Baseball Tonight. He still has his bar and grills down here in Arlington!

Carlos Zambrano and Derek Lee almost got into a fight in the dugout today after the first inning. Zambrano got his ass kicked by the White Sox by giving up 4 runs and getting pulled after.

He is only the second Diamondback to throw a no-hitter, the first being Randy Johnson with the perfect game in 2004.

I'm shocked he was able to do it... 149 pitches, and he was really wild in the beginning of the game, including walking the bases loaded.
 
Man, the rays gotta be feeling bad. They've been perfect game'd twice and no hit once in the past year. On top of losing ground to both NYY and Boston in the East, not a great time to be a Rays fan.

Dustin Pedroia fouled a ball off of his foot and was taken out of the Sox game. Test were done but were inconclusive on the fact of him breaking his foot or not. He is in a boot, crutches and cannot put weight on his foot.
 
Santana roughed up by his own team. We need a front line starter like NOW if we are going to compete. His location was just way off today. Doesnt help the MEts offense was silent thanks to Carl PAvano of all pitchers...and they let him throw a complete game. ugh!

What would you be comfortable giving up for Lee or Oswalt? Rumors have stated that Meijia would be off the table but I think that is a load of bs.

Johnny Damon should have kicked the homeplate umpires ass.


Bases loaded with 2 outs and a 3-2 count. Tigers trail 4-3. Peter Moyhlan? throws a pitch that hits the white of the opposite batters box for a called strike 3 to end the game.

Looks like Scherzer had a nice game, yup great bullpen arm the Tigers have there. :roll:
 
Time for the Yankees to salvage the season and fire Clueless Joe 2.0. Great thing that this is his last year as the manager because he is beyond being a fucking moron. I would list all the stupid decisions he made today but it would take all night.

Key stupid decision. Leaving BJ to hit in the top of the 4th with runners on 1st and 3rd with 1 out down 5-4. BJ had given up 5 runs, 5 plus walks and a ton of hits in the first 3 innings and showed NOTHING. BJ then ends up bunting down the 3rd base line which kept the runner on 3rd without scoring a run. Jeter fails after and the Yankees waste a great opportunity. Clueless Joe 2.0 then has BJ to go back out and pitch to the top of the Dodgers lineup. Guess what happens? The first 2 batters get on base and BJ gets yanked out of the game. Great Job Joe! You fucked over a scoring opportunity in the top of the 4th and you kept that piece of shit in the bottom of the 4th. Both runners ended up scoring and the game is 7-4. That swing of stupidity is the difference in the score.

Any reason we shouldn't still think of the NL as AAAA? The Sox have torched Halladay, Jimenez and now Lincecum with what we in the AL would consider a minor league lineup.

Yet the interleague stats aren't nearly that skewed. They showed them today during the Phillies game, and I think the AL is winning like ten more games with comparable HR, AVG and ERA.
 
Speaking of Interleague, the Rangers have owned IL play. Gonna be tough tonight against Roy Oswalt, though.

Also, another Red Sox hurt as V-Mart fractured his thumb. Might not be serious though. Those foul tips will get ya.
 
If you grew up watching NL baseball, you would enjoy it and still be a fan of baseball despite its shortcomings to the AL.

I think the AL have stronger lineups overall in comparison to the NL, but that hasn't always equated to success on the field against teams that do not.

That being said, I love NL baseball... I don't believe in the DH, but I would love for NL teams to hold themselves to a higher standard like in the AL. But we also don't have to keep pace with the Yankees, I think as the top teams in the NL become stronger the overall strength of NL teams will as well. But as of now, most teams in the NL can make it the playoffs and find success; we are still winning the World Series with regularity, so there is little incentive for teams to raise the bar.
 
The Sox seem like they're going to lost a player just about every day now, V-Mart likely headed to the DL as well. They're not going to have any players left in a week or so.

Of the projected starting lineup/rotation, the only players who haven't missed significant time (or are about to) are Youkilis, Beltre, Scutaro, and Lester. Not counting the bullpen, every other regular has either been on the DL or missed long stretches. It's truly amazing that they're only 1.5 back.
 
INSTANT YANKEE CLASSIC at Dodger Stadium!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yankees were down 5-0 at one point in the game. Down 6-2 in the top of the 9th and score 4 runs off of Broxton to tie the game. Cano then hits a 2 run shot in the top of the 10th and Mariano pitches 2 innings to shut down the Dodgers and get the win.

Joe Torre proved this weekend how big of a dope he is. He pitched Broxton yesterday in a 9-4 lead for the Dodgers in the top of the 9th. Torre then brings him into today's game in a 6-2 game in the top of the 9th. Torre then lets Broxton implode on the mound and pitch close to 50 pitches. Clueless Joe 1.0 indeed!


1 little correction. Torre had Broxton pitch 1.1 innings on Saturday in a 9-4 lead. What a dope! Good riddance!

Its not like NL teams are terrible. The last 4 years of the WS have been split. 2-2..how are we still AAAA?
