Moden Warfare 2 Prestige Edition - Comes w. Night Vision Goggles

There's a pair of NVGs on Amazon for $75. That's about what I'm placing the cost for the extra, so $150 seems likely.

The question becomes this versus an arcade stick for the 50% coupon.

according to the youtube, it also mentions that you get a code for a free download of the upcoming original call of duty game, which will probably be 15-20 dollars.
real working night vision goggles? if that the case should cost up to $150-$200.
yeah I guessed the price before I watched the video ha ha ha, im sure it will be more, I thought they were just some display goggles.

Based off the likes of the Fallout 3 Survival Edition and the Halo 3 Legendary edition, for 120 I can see the goggles looking nice on a mantle. For them to be functional and sturdy, I'd expect a nice 200.

I'm betting on $150+. I mean, the guy said "This is where the big bucks come in to play . . ." or something like that. And $150 for a special edition first person shooter seems pretty big.

Considering how expensive NVGs are and assuming the one included isn't a complete toy. The Prestige edition will definitely cost more than $120. Since the most expensive collectors editions are around that price and don't even come with anything remotely as impressive.

I doubt the original Call of Duty will be around $15-$20. Around $10 in reality I think.
It will be available from the xbox marketplace and the PSN.

I'd rather skip out on the head replica and the NVG and get the game only.
Not interested in artbook at all... -_-
Who uses NVG anywhere really? :O

Also, this isn't a deal at all. More like a notice... Fail much?

LOL real working night vision goggles?

Also announced yesterday was the Rumble Roses XXX Collectors Edition that includes a life like sex doll.

lol, yup that's my dilemma as well.

I say its between 160 -180, but since its an Activision game they can charge up to 200 for it, because its MW branded NVG.

I think it's pretty obvious what's the better choice between an accessory that allows you to play much more effectively as opposed to using a conventional controller and an expensive gimmick that'll probably be cheap in design and collect dust in your room.

night vision ftw

I'll admit I've bought my fair share of CEs and LEs but this seems like the most ridiculous special edition I've ever seen. Seriously, night vision goggles? It seems a bit over the top to use to display and I doubt anybody here has any practical use for them, assuming the they work as well as the military spec NVGs...

And is there anything in the Hardened Edition other than the artbook, metal case, and DLC code of the original CoD? That seems a bit weak for $80... considering most people probably have CoD (or at least they should have it) in one form or another.

I already have 2 pair on NVG's . . . with me being in the army I was issued 1 & I received the other as a gift. The expensive of the 2 comes in @ a lil over $400 , but keep in mind it is military issue. Sooo . . . looks like the "Hardened edition" for me.

The $80 toy night vision goggles that was linked apparently work pretty well. Night vision seems fun! You could dig a big hole in your basement, throw a little girl in there, and then be shot in the head by Jodie Foster when she comes to rescue the girl. But not before touching her hair a little.

If the NVG was military issued don't you have to give it back to the Army once your service is over?
Why the fuck would I need night-vision goggles?
To go to the bathroom at night. Well that's my girlfriend's explanation. This is the first special edition she hasn't looked at me like an idiot for being excited about.

I wish I could have captured her face when I told her about the GoW2 Lancer.

On Amazon the Collector's Edition, which I think is the "Hardened Edition", is also available for the PC however the code for Call of Duty Arcade is only for Xbox 360 and PS3 so how is that going to work?

Is it just going to be the steel book, artwork and game for the PC Collector's Edition?

You're going about this all wrong.

No one will suspect you have night vision goggles, thereby making your Amazon order of a grappling hook and lockpicking kit appear innocous.

And it would all be worthwhile. :D Thanks for that, it made my day.

Those sex dolls are pretty expensive as well. I would only buy it if it came with Dead or Alive. jk:roll:

how about special edition games actually having MORE GAME CONTENT instead of waste of environmental extras like extra paper boxes etc. Im sorry but if some of you guys really want some simulation action, go join the military.

yeah pretty sure its gonna be over $100. not getting this. i learned my lesson after buying halo 3 legendary. such a waste of money. im sure im never going to use night vision goggles. the collectors edition seems fair since it comes with call of duty classic.... but still.

your life obviously reeks of lack of fun.

Night vision + camping = fun and useful.
Night vision + coyote hunting = unsporting but also fun.
Night vision + hot neighbor = very fun but dangerous.
Night vision + lunch time & friend = hilarious results and possibly dangerous.

Use your imagination people. I personally would have rather had them throw in thermal goggles.
