So, to clarify, the PS3 TE edition has avatar codes also(I didn't even know they had avatars)? I'm leaning towards picking up the PS3 version for some reason, but only if I can sell the avatar clothes to offset the cost.

Is anybody else disapointed that the TE doesn't come with the action figure or Art book? Call me old school but when there is a ascending order of collectors editions, I expect each higher version to come with what the lower version comes with plus more. For some reason, I was also expecting a steel book too but oh well, at least I made my money back.
it's funny, while I love getting free stuff...the avatar costumes are 240 ms points in the marketplace. ($3) ...and sadly really only look good on female avatars, the ones for guys with those tight shiny spandex pants don't really inspire me as a ninja assassin.
hopefully there will be the entire cast, and I'll just get the kung lao or raiden outfit.

I completely agree that it would have been nice to receive the book ends and art book with the tournament edition as well and I'm half tempted to pick up the collectors edition just to have them. What really sucks is that the die hard MK fans that want the full experience on day one are looking at spending at least $400 between buying both CEs and all the dlc on eBay. Luckily I couldn't care less about all the DLC but I hope this isn't the beginning of a trend...

I didn't want to get MK initialy and was hoping to wait for the KE to go to clearance like the Halo Reach and Black op special editions before it but I liked TRUs offer of a 15 gift card and a $10 off coupon. I also really liked that the DLC of Kitana was selling between $40-$50 and sold my for $40.00 almost paying back my initial purchase. Has selling the DLC of games been this absurd?
