Bestbuy.com now has the Mortal Kombat Tournament Edition in stock for both PS3 and Xbox for $149.99 plus $2.99 shipping. You can possibly save the $2.99 shipping by having it shipped to a nearby store, however for me, only 1 of 3 nearby stores were able to do this, so it might be YMMV. This also comes with a free $10 bestbuy gift card, and if you are a gamers club member (free to sign up for), you will also receive a $10 certificate for spending $150 (yes I know this purchase would be .01 or 10.01 short depending if they discount the purchase price by $10 to acount for the gift card).

oh man, thats not good news... were you able to contact them about your situation? Would it be possible for them to remedy the problem?
 
Just to be clear so there's no confusion, this is what comes INSIDE the TE box regardless where you purchased it from (2 codes on 2 seperate cardboards) in addition to the Kombat Pass (code to play online) in the actual game case:

- Ermac classic character costume & original fatality (1st code)
- Avatars of: MK, Scorpion, Sub-zero & 2 themes (2nd code)

Retailers offering pre-order bonuses of classic playable character costume & their original fatality:

GameStop: Scorpion

Amazon: Reptile

BestBuy: Sub-Zero

Walmart: Mileena

Toys R Us: Kitana

YMMV if you didn't pre-order.

The Best Buy TE edition is clearly marked with a sticker on the box for the Subzero DLC, so if you don't have the sticker then you aren't going to find it in the box and I'm guessing it was only for their initial shipments.
 
Got both TE and KE. Plan on selling 1 reptile and 1 ermac.

The game is fun, no need for a fight stick IMO. I don't feel like I'm at a disadvantage vs players with fight sticks. The input timing isn't as crazy as sf4.

Btw my code is going for 30 on ebay, and this guy emailed me, telling me to lie to amazon by saying that my reptile code don't work. Then they will give you another code..
 
^ that guy who emailed you is a douche. Karma will balance things out though. But the DLC prices dropped alot since release.. IDK if it's worth the hassle to flip the contents

Cant believe people are paying that damn much for the Codes, even some of the Mortal Kombat Dev's have said to be patient and not to waste your money.

Though, i ended up getting 6 out of the 7 costumes on launch day in a trade group. (Damn Mileena still evades me!)

No kidding. I imagine that these characters will be available via DLC for a price at some point.
 
My TE Edition from Best Buy didn't have the sub zero dlc.. called spoke to there research dept and they gave me a full refund and apologized.. told me to contact netherrealm for the dlc and I got to keep everything.. total for TE edition = $0
 
what? where did you buy it from online? I picked my preorder up instore and it didnt have ermac, sub zero, or the home avatars. Who did you call now?
 
I preordered online back in march.. called best buys 800 number got transfered to come research dept.. guy totally discounted it I was shocked I was like you're doing what.. haha didn't argue got his name and incident number or whatever they call it and checked my checking account the next day.. money in the bank.. Sweet ass deal
 
Just got my TE shipped to my house from BB. Outer box is totally crushed, no padding whatsoever between the shipping box and the box itself. I havent open it yet but Im sure the Stick should be fine. But kinda bummed the box is all messed up since I like to collect everything good condition. Just wondering what everyone's else experience is?

That sucks! Got mine from Amazon & the retail box was inside the manufacturer's shipping box (barely bigger than the retail box so fit perfectly) & that box was inside Amazon's shipping box which was barely bigger so the retail box was in mint condition, phew!
 
Since these are back in stock everywhere, I'm glad I unloaded my TE and DLC code for a 33% profit. I just didn't want the game or codes bad enough. I'll wait until this bitch is clearanced out to pick it up again.

I got one from walmart that came in a shipping box that barely covered that actual TE but it came perfect. I would definantely call up BB CS and try to exchange b/c I like my things mint too.
 
Now that its back in stock at Amazon, i just ordered one and retrurned the other back to BB. Hopefully it'll come double-boxed. Hate to be so picky about this kind of thing, but if Im gonna pay that much, Im gonna want the item in minty condition. Thanks for the info all.

The Amazon copy does come double-boxed.

Mine did with brown puffy wrapping paper around it and two pieces of card board right under where you cut it to protect the box when cutting to open it

Mine didn't. They shipped it in the shipping carton they received it in and it ended up getting dented in transit. I am glad this came back in stock so I can get a replacement.
