Everywhere says yes to this except worldscollide.com which doesn't list a shirt in the CE contents.
 
After Joker's incredible fatality getting the "off-camera" editing, the best MK vs. DC deal is not getting it at all.

I got in on the 59.99 price for the l.e. but it has a delivery date of 12/3. Regular release date seems to be Nov. 16

I think they did this because they want me to cancel the order. Crap i really dont want to wait for this game. Day 1 purchase is a must
 
i think this game is gonna get a 7.5. mortal kombat is nostalgic but it certainly isnt winning any awards.

the dc crew seems just to be a set of new mk charaters in superhero attire. i say its a hold off till it drops in price for at least me. i say $30 then maybe

Wow, I read up. They're going for a T-rating? Even Mortal Kombat DS was rated M. Teen Kombat is preposterous.

I don't understand how moving the camera's view alone would make someone not buy the game. He is still shooting the person in the head, you just won't see their head get shot. I understand complaining about it, but to think that the game is somehow incomplete or broken just doesn't make sense to me if you really had planned on buying it in the first place.

I'm a fighting game fan so I will indeed get it at some point, just not day 1/full price. It seems like just when they do something right that starts to get people on board with a game that's had an uphill battle since it was announced they find some way to mess it up. This is a Mortal Kombat game after all, toning down the brutality in a MK game is like taking the sauce and cheese off of a pizza. And didn't Ed Boon say it wouldn't get censored?
 
I apologize I'm wrong, it's not one of the games that you get the $10 off a future game at Amazon. But it's just $56.99 free shipping no tax at Amazon. But the CE is still $69.99 there.
 
I had the CE preordered through Amazon when it was $59.99 I canceled it because of the neutering of the game. I was on the fence on buying it on day one or waiting for a price drop, the 10 off the CE edition was a good deal, the "T" rating was a deal breaker. So I'll just wait for the price to drop to $30 on the original version and maybe I'll pick it up...maybe.
 
Day one purchase. I'm hoping Circuit City has their $10 gift card deal for this, seeing has how they've been offering them one week for the new releases.

Ah, I see it now. I looked under the Kollectors Edition and did not see it there as that is the version I was thinking of buying.

I would rather have a shirt that comes with the standard version then the Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe lithograph that comes with the Kollectors.

i'm pretty pissed too at the teen rating. I love the over the top fatalities that have been a staple of the series. "Neutering" the game to get a T rating just so they can "possibly" sell more copies is sad on Midway's part. I'm sure the MK developers weren't too happy, but if they want to even have the chance of seeing this game on store shelves, they had to comply.

I'll wait for it too drop. Shouldn't be too long. I don't see it selling any more at T then it would with an M. M rating doesn't seem to keep teens from getting GOW, Saint's Row 2, GTA IV, Halo 3, etc.
 
Yeah totally glad I didn't give in to my urges and pre-order this at GS the other day. I love Mortal Kombat but not for a sixty dollar price tag. Especially not a Teen rated Mortal Kombat. Shenanigans...that's what I think of it.

BTW SuperJedi, I love your sig. D3 will be amazing. Or so I'm hoping...

Same thing here. I called them up and asked about it. The customer service rep changed my shipped from Super Saver to regular. That changed my ship date to November 19th or so... much more reasonable. They charged me for the shipping, but said that I can call back after it ships and they'll refund me.
 
This game looks like it can get mid 8s, granted I am past the point where review scores matter to me. I much prefer what someone has to say about the game, their experiences with it. Anywho, My anticipation for this game has grown so much over the past weeks that I want to buy it. A MK game. This is a new experience for me :shock:. How soon do you guys think I will be able to pick the game up for $40? I want it, but not enough to get it for anything more than 40.
 
For those of you worried about Amazon's ship date, I wouldn't. I order almost all my DVDs and games from them now, and the ship dates are rarely ever correct. It usually ships 1-2 days after it hits stores and arrives by the end of that week or the beginning of the next week, even with the free shipping option.

One of the main selling points to Mortal Kombat games is it's over the top violence. I hate to break it to you, but people love blood and guts. It's why those stupid Saw movies do so well. Implied violence, as in the offscreen shooting, simply isn't as satisfying. Does it make us all a bunch of animals for enjoying these kinds of things? Sure, but why judge? ;)

On a side note, are there really that many kids out there that are big DC fans that makes it worth it to turn this into a rated T game?

If we would have never known about the edit(if we hadn't seen the original on youtube) would anyone be complaining? They shouldn't have shown it to the public if it wasn't going to be in the final game.

And on the side note, I think if it was up to the developer, it would be an M-rated game. I believe that DC doesn't want their characters associated with the M Rating.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that people would still be complaining. When you hear Mortal Kombat, you think fatality.

If you hadn't noticed, Midway was doing a HUGE push of videos on gametrailers to reinforce the fact that "there will be fatalities" after an article had previously said they wouldn't exist. They pretty much beat it into our skulls with every interview and every chance they got because people were complaining/boycotting. That's where that Joker video game from. They wanted to show that this isn't "Mortal Kombat Lite" (their own words).

Absolutely. People would have known something was up the minute the camera panned away from the Joker's second shot(the one to the head). And it's all because of it being a Mortal Kombat game with a T rating instead of an M.
 
If they didn't make such a big deal that this wasn't going to be a watered down version of MK, then this wouldn't be as much of an issue, but they went around saying it won't be MK-Lite and here they go ahead and do exactly that.

First, I don't care about "trying to sound cool". Only an idiot would conform to the popular opinion to be part of the "in crowd". I say what I believe.

Second, If I wanted to seriously complain about something I'd do it on my blog where people would be showing up JUST to read my views. I can articulate my thoughts into words on things far beyond what a run-of-the-mill forum troll is capable of.

I got in at the $59.99 price for L.E. also, but I decided to cancel last week. I honestly don't think this game is worth $30, let alone $60.

Yeah that site is legit, I've ordered from them before. But I am surprised about their price though, cause they absolutely ripped me off on shipping previously.

Pity they're only finally offering a good price on a game I will likely never get. MK to me has always been a novelty act to the more accomplished and technical Street Fighter franchise, and that novelty grew old after MK2.
 
i contacted amazon about my preorder and they corrected the ship date.. i really want this game on day one though but it comes out on a damn sunday.

why doesnt gamestop give a tshirt for the l.e. as well. i rather have that than the litho
 
meh, after being unimpressed by the last few MK games, gonna wait for this one to drop down into the 20s before I bite. Unless I can do a decent trade for it.
