Hmm, I have the GoW2 CE still sealed. I may try it this weekend. Is it as good as say...Too Human?

;)

Let me trade you my regular GOW2 for your sealed CE 83.

I know we have some wise cellphone/smartphone people here. I'm looking for at a couple different ones and trying to decide which one is best. This will be my first cell.

iPhone.

Trust me, it blows every other phone out of the water. You can get a spotless refurbed 8GB from AT&T for $100.

Nice. Just got refunded for the fuckup with my TDK blu. I guess the giftbox edition is now pure profit and is going up on eBay, whatever I can get for it. :whee:
How much are the monthly data packages for the iphone? Being able to browse the interwebs on the bus would be $.
If you get a non-3g iphone and use AT&T, data is $20/month.
If you have a 3g iphone and use AT&T, data is $30/month.
I can't speak to T-mobile's rates.

And you have to get a voice package on top of that right Frosty?
Does this attachment work Mak?
Yes and

Please tell me they're working on a Blade Runner game or something like it. The closest thing that came to it was the original Perfect Dark.

All depends on what carrier you have available and what you want to do with the phone.

Thats part of the reason I want to get one too.

I was thinking about the iphone , but the thing is that I get a 14% monthly service plan discount for AT&T through my employer , but the iphone isn't offered as an eligible phone/plan one the site (unless it is there and I just didn't see it anywhere).

If the iphone + plan would still end up being better and cheaper than the plans I was looking at then I guess it would still end up being better to go that route.

Is Harvey Keitel's character in the US Life on Mars an asshole, Mak? In the UK version he's pretty crooked and kind of a huge ???hole.

I am really fucking jealous of my wife; Today her leadership class is going to Lockheed for a hands on with a F22, C130, and a Blackhawk ride. :hot:

Nooo .. Joystiq posted a picture of a 360 motion sensor peripheral in the wild. More casual game nonsense at E3 confirmed.

Yeah for the most part. He's an alcoholic that like TFN, beats up everyone he sees.

AT&T activated iPhones run $40/month (base plan, 400 or 450 minutes I think) for voice + the rates I mentioned above for data.
So I'd probably be looking at $70 a month for an iphone w/ voice and data?
After taxes and fees, I was paying $78.xx a month for the basic iPhone plan. 450 anytime minutes with Rollover, 5000 N&W, the iPhone data plan and *0* text messages.

I've since added the $5 200 SMS plan after I was able to get out of my SERO plan w/o fees, so my bill is now $83.xx a month.

I'm sure it will have some shitty game attached to it and it will flop like "You're In The Movies" and you'll be able to score a free copy from Best Buy 6 months later :D

After hearing all of this , it sounds like it would end up costing me about the same or just a little bit more to go with the iphone and plan than with the other ones I was looking at.

I don't have the iPhone but the basic iPhone plan is similar to what I have with my phone.

Unlimited texts/internet, 450 anytime minutes, 1,000(or something like that) weekend minutes and I pay like $80-85 a month or so.

Yeah i'l never be getting an iphone i guess. $80 just for a cell phone is ridiculous, i don't care if the thing can browse the web. $80 is more than i pay for my land line and DSL.

You must have cheap phone/internet service then , because we pay about $90-100 a month for landline/DSL service a month with AT&T.

$80 a month seems like a lot , but when I look at it as being only like 1/5 of 1 paycheck a month , its not that bad at all.

Ah, now I know why I was rubebd the wrong way by the new Star Trek Movie. I was reading a review in the Boston Globe and the reviewer descibed it as Star trek in an alternate universe. it throws out all the cannon. It's essentially Ultimate Star Trek.

I think if I approach it that way I may like it. But I wish they would have stuck to cannon. They could have just done Kirk's first command or something like that.

Say Lt. Commander Kirk on board the USS Explorer gets a distress signal. It's the Enterpise under Captain Pike and Lieutenant Spock. During a battle the captain of the Explorer is killed and Commander Kirk and Captain Pike work together to save the day. One part of the original crew is serving on the Explorer and part is serving on the Enterprise. That's how all the characters meet each other and eventially get to serve under Kirk.

Anyway, the new movie does have one thing that we should al look forward too.

Supposedly there's an ewok in the movie.
Wait for the Palm Pre, StarKnight.

(Or at least the third generation Iphone.)
So that prices of the current 3G models will come down in price correct? I remember this conversation from yesterday.;)

That's not a big deal for me. I don't need it right away , its just something I've been thinking about for a while , and when I got a notice along with my last paycheck reminding me about the employee discount I figured I'd bring it up.
You can always bundle it with U-Verse when fiber hits your neighborhood.
I'd rather just tell AT&T to fuck off.

Unless it gets burned to death in an engine or turned inside out in a transporter accident- How exactly is an Ewok in this movie a good thing?

I really hated AT&T for decades and got even more pissed when they rebought BellSouth.

Then I tried my brother's U-Verse (Multiple simultaneous recordings on the DVR, multiple DVR streaming, bigger HD for HD recording, Internet 2.0+ speeds for less, and all digital TV and 3 times more HD channels, plus a cable box that was fast enough to allow you to actually "flip" channels) and saw he was paying less than my Comcasst bundle, then I said fuck it and signed up and saved even more on my mobile.

It was a no-brainer, expecially when my wife's firm requires AT&T be the RIM provider for her work service.

Customer service is much better than comcasst to boot.
U-Verse I think is At&t's answer to Verizon's FiOS bundle
Yes. They it also has the best cable box I have ever used, if they can settle the slingbox patent issue they are going to have stream to mobile/PC and remote programming as well. (my remote system worked for the first month, but was promptly shutdown when AT&T realized the cable guy had accidentally 'ed my cable box, and left me the instructions.)

I know what U-Verse and FIOS are.

I just refuse to acknowledge them, since neither is available here, nor ever will be.

:bomb:

My choices are to get raped for decent speed by ComCuntcast, or get raped a little bit less by Qwest DSL for much slower speeds.

Huzzah for broadband competition.

That's my same exact problem it fucking blows. What I don't get is how a town not even 10 mins away gets FiOS but we don't get it.

I have Verizon DSL, it's cheap but I get what I paid for. It's not incredibly fast and it always goes out when it rains alot.
Ahahaha.

Why don't you think that the Pre will be competitive? It's the first phone that can even compare to the Iphone. And I honestly haven't heard many bad things about Sprint.

The App store will be fine too. It might take a little time to get going, but I can't see it not being close to, if not just as, diverse and useful.
Well that's what they said about the HTC Diamond(which I like alot more than the iPhone), one of many phones they labeled the "iPhone killer." and that didn't sell to well in the U.S.

The only phone that competes with the iPhone in terms of sales are the Blackberries.

My wife's co-workers had problems with sprint's fringe area coverage, which necessitated their AT&T rule.

I too miss the physical qwerty of my old HTC (not a diamond however), but not enough to get a pre.

Does anyone here have any experience with Skype? I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to talk to my wife when I go to London.
