I love my DS. I'll love it more when I eventually get Jump Super Stars and Bleach DS.

On another note, I've decided it's my new goal in life to eventually uncover what (and I don't care what Sofia Coppola says that she'll never say what's actually said or the fact that the scene is entirely improvised) Bill Murray's character says to Scarlett's character at the end of Lost in Translation. I can make out "I love you" but then it all turned to mumbles.
Yes, two reasons the decision was slightly easier to make.

That's a worthy ambition. After you put in all the work, PM me the info. I'd like to know, but not enough to say ... track down Bill Murray and force him to tell me. Of course, I wouldn't mind stalking Scarlett for a bit ... ;)
So I just ordered a DS from walmart ... even though I don't care about mario 64 in the least. It was easy for me to resist when I wasn't spending much money. But somehow dropping $250 over the last few days made it easier to say "what the fuck, it's only another $130". You'd think that it'd have had precisely the opposite effect, but you'd be wrong. :bomb: :wall:
I should check if my dog is okay, but my stylus needs to be sanded down, as it makes some minor scratches, so I'm afraid to use it.

Cool. Encore is having an 80s weekend. They just showed Karate Kid, some 80s music videos, and they are currently showing First Blood. Wonder what other 80s classics they'll show...
I want a DS. I already have a GBA SP, but still... damn you Nintendogs, Kirby, and you other great DS games!
I haven't touched my SP in months. That's probably what will happen with the DS.

I need to go on more flights.

i just finished watching the fan edit of the movie batman and robin, and it was suprisingly good, i dont recall much of how the movie went anyways, since i havent seen it in 8 years but i remember not being too thrilled about it back then...but yeah, the edit is nice.

horrible casting on all the heroes in that movie..brilliant on the villians

Well, I just wanted to say to Moxio since he's such a nice guy, and he did gie me this awesome avatar way back in the still early days of CAG, happy modly bon....errr...... birthday. ;) Oh yaeh, if you're reading this, do you think you can maybe make me an update or, preferably, a Green Lantern Avatar? :D

I guess you saw the "de-assified" version. Is it worth grabbing?

EDIT: Boy, that doesn't sound right...
Green Lantern
Green Lantern is the fucking man. Only Batman is higher in the superhero heirarchy if you ask me. (I'm not big on comics, if that didn't just give it away)

Well I'm going to watch a DVD or two and try to forget about having to pay my credit card bill next month.

yeah, like i said i dont remember WHY i didnt like batman and robin i just remember the bad taste, i will be renting the original soon though to compare

but it really is a nice watch, its an hour long and progresses like a bullet! theres a few parts i wish would have gone faster even (mostly, the 1st ivy scene at the auction)

also after the credits theres a 10 second scene of bane (they dont kill him in this version, or even fight him) and he's doing a klingon death yell, setting him up as the main baddie in a sequal which will obviously never happen!

dl it, theres a ton of seeders right now i think it took me 30 hours?

Cool. Thanks for the review. If my friend didn't already grab it, I'll DL it.

I'd suggest he stop dl'ing Taylor's stuff now. Poor thing has really gone downhill. :(

I understand that rationale completely

All pets cry on the inside when you dress them up.

Except for my Mimi, who will attack me. She's not shy.

luckily for myself, virtual pets don't have real feelings
but they have virtual feelings
yes and in this virtual world, dog like wearing hats. I have Kira in a Mario hat, Zel in a Luigi hat and Freya in a viking helmet.
It disturbs me that I actually enjoy the EA Trax on Burnout 3 (strictly in game context tho. Not buying CDs) I usually hate game music, especially the EA stuff but darn it if it (for the most part) works so well.
I love it too...never once used a custom soundtrack with that game. It's also how I discovered Go Betty Go. Their EP is insanely good...can't wait until they have a full-length album out.
What is this Nintendogs game?

I'm a loser that doesn't keep up with the gaming scene at all. :(
Basically what it's title says: Nintendogs. It's just a dog simulation game, like those old school Tomogachi thingys.

Holy hell as I live and breathe, this is not a developement I expected. Yeah for whatever reason the tunes mesh perfectly and it all flows incredibly well. Especially amazing is Ive done the Road Rage thing for hours on end and Im not really even tired of it or the tunes yet.

I was able to stomach the tunes for about a day. After that I turned the music off. It wasn't horrible, and it kind of fit the game, but I didn't really care for any of it. EA has yet to make a soundtrack I like.

Yeah, Im that way with 99% of the EA trax games but Burnout actually worked so well Ive yet to shutoff the trax. SSX3 wasnt half bad either but I can feel it losing quality at a rapid pace. (Ive not put too much time into it yet) All the rest Ive been exposed to were shutoff instantly.

Banky, whered you pick up that EP btw? Did you go through their website or local store?
Exactly :D
Oh its cute now but wait until your DS grows to about 80lbs and dry humps your leg at the most inopportune moments.

I let my PSP do that

On the topic of Nintendogs:

I played around with a demo of the Nintedogs game at EB Games the other day. The animation for those puppies is incredibly good! Their movements are very life-like. I have to say that I was very impressed!

You guys (people who are not animators) have no idea how hard it is to animate those dogs like that; The general public takes that for granted. Those guys did a great job with the game.

Listening to Simpsons commentary gives me an appreciation for the hard work that goes into capturing the movement of human and animal form...

It's beyond my comprehension how people can do that. I can't even draw something that looks remotely like a human, let alone animate it to move in a human way.
Banky, whered you pick up that EP btw? Did you go through their website or local store?
Actually, a friend of mine got it for me. Pretty sure it came from their website though. It has some Enhanced content too, including the video for Go Away and a "Meet The Band" clip.

Just found out they've got another release coming in less than two weeks...can't wait.

GBG was in Jax with the Warped Tour, but I wasn't about to venture out into that mess just to see them.

Its hard enough with humans. Animals are much more difficult. You have to spend many days studying the animal so get the movements right.

Awesome. Yeah, no way I could force myself to go to Warped for anyone. Im a little too old for that mess.

You have a PM.

I liked the Burnout 3 soundtrack, though I had heard a few of the songs from MVP 2004 and a couple of other EA games. Then again, the custom title says it all.

Interesting. Now that you mention it I think Ive heard a few rehashes from older Maddens getting into new games. Wasnt 100% sure but if you experenced it to its more than likely so.
:bomb: My dvd drive is not working, as it's not even coming up in "My Computer."
I often have that problem since my computer was built and the connector cable keeps falling off. Ugh.

Yes, there were quite a few songs from MVP 2004.

But, that Burnout 3 soundtrack had way too many annoying poppy like songs. Bless XBox and custom soundtracks.

Odd, I wouldnt call much on their "poppy" but Pop to me is real pop, not this newish retroish stuff.
SSX3 was heavy on techno and BAD techno at times.
Madden suffers from the too ecclectic mix problem most of the time (rap, hip hop, alternative, all jammed into one)
This years kinda sucks too but I do like the NFL films remixes. Of course instrumentals wear thin really fast. Oh well.
Best Custom Soundtrack: Forza. Non-stop songs from race to race. Unlike Burnout that cuts them off to soon.
Yes, but Forza should lose serious points for its original soundtrack being so miserable. Its maybe my favorite game ever and certainly my fav. racer but that soundtrack was utter crap through and through. Theres not one redeeming song on there.
Customs were well done but it felt like they had to be or else there'd have been a riot.

One of the EA big-wigs let his emo daughter pick the soundtrack. It's so emo, in fact, that upon listening to it for the first time, I was tempted to slit my wrists the wrong way and write a poem about it in a LiveJournal.

Looks like Tuesday is the season finale of Reno 911! So I guess I should get started in encoding the episodes for DVD to hold me over, and so that I can catch up on the episodes I missed.

Kinda sucks, because I won't have anything to watch on TV during the week. I guess maybe I'll catch up on "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," so I can watch that during the week. Oh, and I forgot... there's always wrestling.
