Redeemed another 200 points today for a movie ticket. I already have 2 on my bulletin board at home. Saving them for "Ironman".

Our receptionist at work keeps beating me to the rip-off sections from all the 12-packs in the fridge. I saw her get 6 or 7 of them in a single blow last week.:bomb:

I think I'm just going to waste all my points on Blockbuster rentals... It's really stupid how they never add any prizes -_-. Still waiting for the next double points day. =X

Each time I've done this in the past, the Blockbuster gift cards came up just afterwards so I lost out on getting a few sets that way. But on the other hand, it would really suck if the rentals dried up and you couldn't even get those. So it is a game of chance, I suppose... I will probably redeem for a few rentals though right now, too. Just in case...

The $75 Blockbuster gift cards were 750 last time they popped up. Compared to most of the other gift cards, that was a hell of a deal. Most $25 gift cards are 625 points, and $50 gift cards are 1,250 points.

I'm getting the same problem! Argghhh... I'm using Internet Explorer. The limit sucks because I have exactly enough points for 2 sets. But I'd be happy with just the 1 if it would take. Dammit... I hope it isn't because I got a couple several months ago. I could see limiting it to 1 now but I've built up my points again since then by drinking tons of Coke - I ought to be able to get ONE set now regardless.

Has anybody who got them last time been able to get them?

Edit - Can't get it to take at all. I tried a different computer. I guess I could try Firefox. I'm sending them an email because this was the whole reason I was saving all these damn points. Of course they'll be sold out before they even read the damn thing, but oh well...

Edit #2 - Crap, no dice with Firefox either. And just like rywateska I cannot send a message to them as that causes errors too. DAMMIT! Had I known they would switch up the rules like this I would have simply made a new account when I started building up my points again. I thought about doing that anyway... Grrr... Seems very arbitrary to me...
 
Well, I have a small stockpile of codes here and I guess I'll be starting up a new account... Of course by the time I get to 1072 points (takes at least 11 days to enter than much, assuming 10 point codes from 12-packs, even if you have that many and I probably only have 300-400 here) they will be long gone but maybe I'll be able to get a set the next time they have them in stock. So now my 2000 point account is utterly useless. Thanks a ton Coke bastards - maybe I'll start drinking Pepsi now. :bomb:

Edit: Started up an account for my wife and got it to 115 points (I had one 25 point code sitting around). Maybe, just maybe, with the strict limit these will last a few weeks and I can get one on her account. But still, the bastards!
 
Dammit, the site is down for maintenance! I need to get the rest of my pts entered stat!

Nevermind I was thinking I would have enough pts for two but I guess it's a limit of one per customer this time. I hope they're still available when the site comes back up.

I'm running into the same problem io. At first I couldn't even log in because the site was down for maintenance. A few minutes later I tried again and the site was back. Now when I try to purchase the GCs it gives me that same message (USER CANNOT RESERVE ANYMORE OF THIS ITEM). I guess they are counting the sets we ordered in Dec against us... This was the whole reason I kept saving up my points! :bomb::bomb::bomb::bomb:


EDIT: I noticed this time it says the gift cards expire 5/31/09. I don't remember the ones I ordered in Dec having an expiration date. Nice, I just noticed that in the item description it says they expire 5/31/09 and in the fine print it says 6/6/09...
 
Good grief they have the crappiest site I have ever seen. There is such a thing as TOO MUCH FLASH!!!! people! At least I was able to see how many points I've got, and it;s not nearly enough... I wish I hadn't redeemed for a gametap membership awhile back :(

Are you using the same home address for your wife? This sucks that there is a limit.
 
So does the Blockbuster $75 gift card actually come as five $15 gift cards? Is that what the "$15 increment" thing in the description means?

I did. It says one per account, not address. Which is what makes it even more ridiculous that you can't get get one set now when you got them before - the one per account thing is rather arbitrary. I mean my wife and I pooled our points together in case they had a bigger prize (too bad they didn't bring the $100 GC back as another option because I never got one of those). So really we are two people using one account. But whatever. I started a new one for her. Maybe, just maybe, the award will last a bit longer with the limit and the higher price. But I'll be pissed if I run out to buy 20 12-packs for the codes and they run out of GCs right as I'm entering all those. Problem is I think I'd need more than 20 - I probably only have about 400-500 in reserve here...

My wife's brand new account (made last night) is up to 250 points though. Whoo-hoo, another week or so and I'll have enough for the gift cards (plural since the rewards is really 5 $15 gift cards). I hope they last... Then I have to decide what to do with the worthless 2200 point account i have :bomb:.

In terms of places to buy Coke, Target has 12-packs at $3 this week and I saw something in the paper about Safeway having a Buy 2 Get 2 free but I have no idea what the base price is.

You could get (11) 12-packs, plus you would have 110 ponts you could feed into your new account. I cashed in for a BB $25 card about a year ago for 625 (I think they started at 500pts, but I am not sure). Hopefully Pepsi's competition will cause them to list good rewards again.

That's what I'm hoping. Even if I can't build up her account in time for this round, it will be ready when they bring them back in another 4 months or so (if they follow the pattern). Anyone who redeemed for one now I would suggest starting up a new account for any subsequent points.

Already, though, this gift card offer has lasted longer than it did last time (due to the limits I'm sure) and the site doesn't appear to be super-slow like it was last time either.

So the Contact Us page is still not working but last night I had sent the text I tried to submit that way via a direct email (using one from when I had a code redemption issue during the double point day). They actually wrote back just now with the following:

I fully expect them to tell me (in 7-10 business days) that I have already redeemed a $75 GC reward and thus can't get another - but it's worth a shot anyway :lol:.

Yep. $75 = 5 x $15 GCs. They still spend the same but with the shitty credit card system GR/BB uses it takes forever to buy something with them. I purchased MLB 08 The Show with my GCs so I had to use 4 of my cards. They had to run each individually, verify the balance, accept the MOP, then repeat. It probably took around 10 minutes to complete my purchase. I was thinking about buying Rockband with the rest of my GCs but I don't want to think about how long that will take!


EDIT: I'm thinking there may be a slew of new prizes this summer. Usually that's when the "cola wars" really get going and Coke & Pepsi run their biggest promos.

I got in and finally got a $75 Blockbuster giftcard coming my way. Sucks about the limit though. Hopefully the prizes get bigger and better this summer, because I know I have really started to be on the cap hunt ever since I missed the giftcards back in december.
 
does anyone know if Blockbuster sells pre-paid gift subscriptions to Blockbuster Online in-store? I'd probably pick up the GCs and get me a 6 month account for the website. even though i've leeched probably 5 free months of them already through a couple accounts.

either that or i'm going to grab a $50 sephora gc...

I almost hate to post this because I want the Blockbuster gift cards to last for a while, but for my fellow CAGs:

Nearly all (non-franchise) Blockbuster stores have started to take preorders for some of the bigger game releases. They've done SSBB and Halo 3 in the past and are currently taking preorders for GTA IV and Mario Kart Wii. Also, a good portion of the regular stores (talking non-Gamerush here) sell a small selection of other new games. Check out the Blockbuster/Gamerush thread in the deals forum for details.

So even if you don't have a Gamerush store near you the regular stores can be useful. Of course if you DO have a Gamerush evem better - you can use this credit on a wide variety of games and systems and accessories. They tend to be more poorly stocked than Gamestop or Gamecrazy but for free credit... I plan on buying Mario Kart with the $15 gift cards from the last time Coke Rewards had them. So basically I will have redeemed 500 points for Mario Kart - a WAY better deal than anything Coke offers directly. Of course the rate isn't quite as good with this wacky 1072 points for $75 thing but still a great deal.
