[quote name='zewone']munch, I've been looking for you. I bought Echochrome and PixelJunkEden if you're interested in those.[/QUOTE]

That sounds good, I'll take either one.

[quote name='JolietJake']Is GripShift still selling for a shit load? May try to pick another one up.[/quote]

They seemed to have dropped into the $30-40's still good though. I just shipped both of mine, one to Canada and one to Germany...total came under $5 for both at 1st class Int.

I can't wait for SFIV to come out so I can finally order something with my YF360G.com. There's nothing I need right now. I refuse to buy MS points, since I assume that there will be another Sons of Anarchy type thing right around the corner.

It cost me $3 to ship to France. There was no way for them to track it, though, so I hope this dude is straight up. He claimed to be the webmaster for PSPGen, whatever that is. I really hate that I have to wait either 21 days or until he gives me feedback before I can get my money.

Does UPS do tracking internationally? Wonder how much more it would cost to ship. I hate not knowing what has happened to something.

Must be because you're a newb...I got everything instantly.

[quote name='tiredfornow']...You're not a part of the OTT.[/quote]

Oh snap!

TFN, The Rock...will you guys become fans of 'Twilight' if Vanessa Hudgens made it through the audition of the sequel?

I want to get a graphics card, but my cpu temps have been bothering me for a long while.[/QUOTE]

What are your temps and what CPU do you have?

Here's mine:

Temperatures
CPU 33 °C (91 °F)
CPU #1 / Core #1 46 °C (115 °F)
CPU #1 / Core #2 47 °C (117 °F)
GPU Diode 53 °C (127 °F)
Hitachi HDP725050GLA380 26 °C (79 °F)
WDC WD4000YR-01PLB0 28 °C (82 °F)

Cooling Fans
CPU 2482 RPM

CPU Speed
CPU Clock 3220.0 MHz (original: 1866 MHz, overclock: 73%)
CPU Multiplier 7x
CPU FSB 460.0 MHz (original: 266 MHz, overclock: 73%)
Memory Bus 460.0 MHz
DRAM:FSB Ratio 1:1

Where'd you get the information all nice and neat like that?

From Core Temp:

Core #0 - 57 °C
Core #1 - 45 °C
Core #2 - 47 °C
Core #3 - 56 °C

This is under minimal load. In XP, the cores were idling at about 60-65 °C.

When I try to do stuff that's CPU heavy, I break 75 °C easily.

[quote name='Wolve11']I sold a Gripshift today for $60....oddly enough it was from the same buyer that bought my first Gripshift and hasn't paid yet...:([/QUOTE]To where?

I wanna open it up but I don't wanna get stuck having to ship it out to some third world country with garbage postal infrastructure.

Everest.

Ah, you have a quad core. It's normal for those to be running hotter:

Which one do you have? http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/221745-29-core-quad-temperature-guide

-Tcase/Tjunction-
--70--/--75--75--75--75-- Hot
--65--/--70--70--70--70-- Warm
--60--/--65--65--65--65-- Safe
--25--/--30--30--30--30-- Cool

To me it seems like you're definitely in the "Safe" area.

[quote name='Temporaryscars']Damn Liq, those are kinda high. Do you OC?[/QUOTE]

Nope. My stock cooler is shit.

I'm not sure if the temps dropped because I'm using Windows 7 or if it's because I opened my case recently.

I did Ctrl-F for Q6600 and this is where it first came up:

Code:
Scale 4: Quad
Q6600: Tcase Max 62c, Stepping B3, TDP 105W, Idle 24W

-Tcase/Tjunction-
--60--/--65--65--65--65-- Hot
--55--/--60--60--60--60-- Warm
--50--/--55--55--55--55-- Safe
--25--/--30--30--30--30-- Cool

It looks like I'm safe for now (assuming my numbers are right), but I was in the warm/hot zone before, for whatever reason.
Since I was pushing it before, and probably will when I start gaming again when I get a new graphics card for my comp, I think it's worth getting a new heat sink.

[quote name='zewone']I'd also recommend in using the program I PMed you.

It should give more accurate readings of your temps.[/QUOTE]Yeah, grabbing it now. Thanks for the link.

Using the stock Intel HSF is a bad idea.

Get an after market HSF and some Artic Silver 5 and you'll see a huge difference.

Any reason why I should use Arctic Silver 5 as opposed to some other paste? The HSF I linked to comes with some.

Well, in the same way that you should use an aftermarket fan, you should use an aftermarket paste. The paste your fan comes with is fine, but AS5 should be better.

I totally agree with Zew about an after market HSF and AS5, but right now, I too have a stock fan and whatever paste it came with, even though I have some AS5. I'm just to lazy to replace any of it. Surprisingly, my temps have been pretty low. It probably won't last though.

I should check my Q6600's temp...I was fiddling around with my ATI's OC and the temp on the VC seemed fine but I forgot to check my processor :dunce:
