Namco is about to announce Tales of GGT 75 vs Tekken Championship Edition DX Infinity

Just played MM2 on PS3 (PS1 version, duh) and I asked myself... "How the fuck do people not notice this delay on PS3 BC?" It got me killed a few times.

Played the demo for Trinity: Souls of Zill O'll. Yeah...that's pretty much fantasy Dynasty Warriors with monster hunting quests.

Would it kill Tecmo to make a new Deception game?
What? Mega Man 2 came out on PS1?

In Japan it did.
Yup, it's under Japanese PSOne Imports on PSN.
Namco should just do a one time only limited print run for Vesperia and Graces. Then I can buy multiples and flipz.
I'd make a bet and say I'll buy Versperia Day 1 if it actually comes out here, but then that'd require me to spend my own money on an RPG if I lose. I just can't take that chance!

Btw, Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 has shitty ass "must always be on PSN" DRM like Final Fight.

I just came in to post this.
Won't be buying on PSN. Enjoy the missing sales, Crapcom.
Passing on BC Rearmed 2 until it's on PC then.
Agreed.

Hell, even when it's on PC, I'll have to re-consider it. I didn't want it that much in this first place.

Namco doesn't run their business on smart decisions/plans. They expect a million sales each from games like Majin & The Forsaken Kingdom, Enslaved, and Splatterhouse and are then surprised when they fail to meet such high expectations for niche games.

Why does Capcom consistently refuse to put up demos for their releases on PSN when they have demos for every multiplatform game they make?

Just finished Undead Nightmare. It ended well, just about the way I thought it'd end. I think I'll be done with RDR for a good long while now.

Probably for the same reason they refuse to put up an SSFIV Costume Catalog on PSN when the 360 has one ... they're assholes.

They also expect you not to share. Capcomian DRM returns with BCR2!

The explanation of why they didn't do the costume catalog on PSN actually makes some sense though.

Personally, I'd rather them decide to put a foot up Sony's ass for the bullshit content restriction policies first before dealing with the other shit.

Excellent reason for me not to get it.

Was it the "it'll cost us money to" excuse?
Was it the "it'll cost us money to" excuse?
Yeah -- that PSN charges to put up content and since they'd have to pay to get it up on the store, it was a no go. They basically said, IIRC, that they did the catalogs on 360 because all 360 people playing online pay subscription so MS was willing to subsidize or something.

Hmmm

Buy a used PS2 fat with controller and memory card for 40 out of pocket from a CAG, use GS giftcard on games

or

Buy a used PS2 fat with controller for 15 out of pocket after GS giftcard, use amazon credit/money out of pocket to buy games and a memory card.

I say the first one, GS has some great used games for cheap. You'd probably be able to get more games for less money from them than going the Amazon route.
Damn, I get cranky when I don't have free time. Damn this being busy thing.
I used to be that way, but after grad school I just got used to it.

I just try to budget time so I at least have an hour or two before bed to watch a movie, game or goof online etc. and have at least one evening on the weekend where I stop everything by 6 or 7 pm and relax the rest of the night, as well occasionally taking a whole day off from work, errands etc. to just chill.

What's a Costume Catalog? I see the many expensive costume packs that they put out every few weeks.

I need to get the original Lost Planet, as I enjoyed the first level of the PH version before getting rid of it because of the terrible achievements.

Are you talking about the Colonies version? If so, I agree, that version had seriously shitty achievements.

I like that the cheevs are pretty easy and most can be done on Easy in the regular edition.

Yeah, most of the achievements revolve around the new online modes and the servers being separate from the original version killed any chance of it having an active community for long.

Costume catalog is free on 360 and gives players who download it the ability to see when other people are using costumes that they haven't bought.

Example:
We play on PSN, I have Zangief's "Haggar" alt and use it. You have bought no costumes. I show up as regular old Zangief.

We play on 360, same deal, but you've downloaded the free "costume catalog". I show up correctly as Zangief Haggar.

So I didn't get the trophy for Prologue 0-B in Lost Planet 2. I looked online and it claims you have to join a online game and be either the second or forth player. Is that right or is there some other way? I know its a dumb question, but I've never beat a game before and missed one like this.

Shouldn't they just offer free DLC or an update so that everyone has the DLC, but they need to buy it to be able to use it? That's what Criterion did with Burnout Paradise, and plenty of others have done, so that everybody has the content and you can easily play with others that have purchased that stuff. Sounds like laziness on the part of Capcom. It's sometimes called compatibility DLC.

Could be -- but based on how they did it on 360 (not title update, but free download), they're saying that Sony charges any time anything is added to the store, so adding the content for users to download for free would cost Capcom money.

I don't know who does what here, but I know the costumes are the bane of PSN, not only providing the argument above, but also exposing the stupid ass Sony "rebuying purchased content in another bundle is forbidden" because they'd rather give refunds to irate customers (when the store explicitly says no refunds) instead of allowing equal access to all normal content for everyone.

That kinda worries me about MvC3 then. I want the DLC characters I play as to be visible to anyone I'm playing with, whether they've purchased them or not.

Glad to know that after missing like 10 threads, nothing has changed. You still love using "etc.".

Hm, the first two Sony games this year have Collectors Editions, looks like Infamous 2 is going to have one to.

since there's like 15 games published by Sony this year, I wonder how many of them will have CE status.

The ridiculous prices they charge for those costumes should more than cover any server fees they would need, though they should be able to address things the best way that each platform can handle it.

The costumes aren't huge files, so the update size would be tiny. They probably don't do it that way because of the very limited amount of updates that they're allowed to have without paying on XBL. Burnout's huge updates on PSN appeared as free DLC on XBL because they were way beyond what 4 MB could allow and the same happened for BFBC2 and NFS Hot Pursuit. I'd still chalk it up to Capcom being too lazy to find a solution and just whining so that people don't blame them for it.

I hate the thing that makes bundles disappear if you own one part of the bundle since they started putting that in a few years ago, though it seems like it only happens for some bundles and not others. I've seen some bundles on there where I owned the main PSN game and not its one piece of DLC, but it had the red bag icon on the bundle like I owned it when it wasn't possible.

Edit: Just checked and the free Dead Rising 2 compatibility DLC is on the PS Store, so they're very willing to offer that stuff when they want to offer it.

As long as the regular editions don't start getting gimped, I'm all for CEs. It gives fans of those respective games a chance to get a few extra goodies if they want them. And those of us that don't care get to stick with just the game (as I will for Infamous 2).

Looks like some DLC costumes and missions will be packed with it. x:

That's what I took away from what I read anyway.

Costumes are only aesthetic, this would be required to fight against somebody who has purchased the character.

The catalog downloads for the costumes are surprisingly quite large. The first one is 150MB and the second is 340MB, give or take. They're still assholes, though.
