I added 2 of the titles to my cart but none is showing free in cart???
checkout screen shows discount

The departed and blood diamond for $24 is FTW. 2 great movies for $12 just makes me happy. Now i want to do one more order to get Troy and something else...
I go all the way to where I enter my credit card and it still shows full price
The discount usually shows up once you get to the "Place Your Order" section.

I just tried it and it still works.

Anybody got any suggestions (video game or tech related would be nice) for something that is on clearance for a few bucks? I only see two movies I want or need, so I could use a bit of filler for free shipping.

I'm not sure, but I THINK I read somebody say they got free shipping on just 2 - that the free shipping was apparently "activated" before the 2nd BRD was given free.

But if you are looking for something to get up over free shipping, what I've been buying lately, actually, is FOOD. Just buy a box of cookies or something. :D

Yeah, that's how it worked for me. I got 300 and TMNT for $23.xx total and free shipping.
where do u guys always find the links to the deals? amazon never shows em..
Just go to Amazon and click on "Movies", then "Blu-Ray".

Whatever specials they have going on usually show up in a special box, or on the right somewhere.

I just bought my first Bluray dvd today. It was 20 bucks and I thought I might as well get it and not the normal dvd. Ended up geting Doctor Strange and now I have a use for my PS3. Picked up the reaping on HD DVD for 25 or 30 cant remember. Sucks this stuff is so high. Thought about geting Serenity on HD or Bluray but they have the collector's edition out on dvd now. I'm one for extras and would rather get more of them and the movie only in 480p then pay 10 bucks more for the movie and get less but a better picture. So unless the HD/bluray has all the same stuff as the 2 or 3 disc sets I'm going after the normal dvd. Although I will pay more for better picture and if it comes with all the same extras. So does anyone know of a site that says what extras are on the HD/Bluray and normal DVD. That way I don't have to look them up for each one and I can see what is a better buy on one page. I know the HD/Bluray should have all the same extras but some stuff tends to be on more then one disc. Anyway I'm done with my rambling.

How have you been on this site so long and missed all these Hi-Def deals?

I have bought around 30 BR's in the past month and have not paid anywhere near the MSRP for one of them. They actually turn out cheaper or on par with their DVD counterparts!
If you don't get free shipping for $25 or more, check at www.filleritem.com to see about finding stuff to fill in the difference.
That's a neat little tool right there, thanks

For the Best of Bluray Box Sets---are those in individual cases inside the cardbox case or is it 4 discs in a custom thingie?

Ordered 16 Blocks and the Departed. Just got a PS3 recently and this brings my Blu Ray collection to 5.

Sweet.
Jesus. Maybe two of those movies are keepers..

Kiss kiss Bang Bang
Troy Directors Cut
Goodfellas > every other movie on that list
Individually packaged, but I don't think they're sealed.
Supposedly (from other sites talking about this deal) the discs are all individually wrapped and then rewrapped in the box.

Hrm, might jump on this, then. 8 movies for $58? That's sick.

I really don't buy DVDs often. If I do it is something that I get the day it comes out or I get it when I have the cash and nothing else is out that I want. Another thing is I really do not come to the DVD part of the site much.

Damn... those best of Blu-ray packs are some great deals, but I already ordered Training Day... doh!

Screw it, I'll order it anyway.

That brings my total for this sale to:

Best of Blu-ray Vol 1
Best of Blu-ray Vol 2
Training Day
Dog Day Afternoon
GoodFellas
A Scanner Darkly
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
The Departed

Total - $120 - 13 movies

Man... these BOGOs are bad enough, but Amazon's slowly adding and removing movies is. Just. Evil.

I used to have that problem, but then I learned to be patient and just wait on deals.

What deviated me from blowing my money on retail prices was telling myself that there were better things to do with my money, like save it for a good sale when I can buy even more stuff with the same amount of money :p

I cancelled my first order and picked up the box sets. 8 movies for 57 was better than 4 for 40 IMO even though some of the movies in the box set I already own or don't care for (going to just end up selling them or trading them on here).
Me three, it's best when deciding to get the Blu Ray or HD DVD of a movie, and I use the avsforum tiers just for PQ
http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=858316
Very helpful! TYVM.

I'm thinking about picking up the 2 sets when I get paid tomorrow... I don't want some of the films, so hopefully I can ebay them for $10 or so each making it even better for the films I keep.

I'm sort of glad 300 on BD hit after I ordered initially - the HD-DVD version has an exclusive "Bluescreen Picture-in-Picture Version" of the movie (and a few other things which sound lame). Not sure if it's worth waiting on, but it at least makes me feel a bit better so I don't have to buy it and Departed... I want them but the cost is too much for me right now.

Looking over the "best of Blu Ray" titles... it sucks to read the reviews on these and feel these aren't really the Best of Blu Ray but rather a collection of "some of the first movies on Blu Ray", which is not the same thing. I like most of the movies in pack 2, but pack 1 I've either not seen the movie or don't want it. I think I'll have to sell Swordfish and Phantom of the Opera; ebay prices seem to be averaging about $10 a disc, which is exactly what I'd want for them. Hopefully this is the bottom already fallen out on these from the Amazon sale and it doesn't get much lower, but if I sell those two the reast everage $4.62 a piece, which is great even for DVD standards. I guess I'll be seeing tomorrow when I get paid...

Already received my four movies today, and placed my order Wednesday. Amazon usually doesn't roll that quickly. 4 movies for under $8.50 a piece is fuckin' sweet.

Good thing I ordered mine last night.

Today I also went and ordered
300
The Departed
TMNT
The Last Samauri
Blood Diamond
Troy

So that's 14 Blu-Ray for 128.80. Not bad.
Does anyone know how long will this deal last? Still have to wait for my paycheck and everything...
Well this is a second version of the list in the past 4 days or so. I wouldn't be surprised if they change it again before Bourne Ultimatum comes out on HD DVD next week.
If they have casino royale I would jump on this deal along with the Departed.
Get Casino Royale through that special Sony B2G1 free rebate offer that is floating around the interwebs. Just got to buy two of the movies on the list and then you can request Casino Royale.
