Mods, maybe if we can sticky this to the OP? These are alot of the games people held interest in, and it turns a good amount of $10 dollar games into $5 dollars after the rebate.
 
Not too much on the Xbox list that interests me that I haven't already picked up for $10 or less.

Maybe Project Snowblind or one of the Viet Nam games.
 
I'm not holding out as much hope for this one... too many CAGs are in my local area now... so each CAG's portion of the pie is that much smaller.

That said, I'll be more than happy if I get 1 or 2 titles.
 
It would be great if KMart had their Blue Light sale that weekend as well. Since most of the games are also on the KMart list, if you miss it at CC you may have a chance to pick it up at KMart at a comparable price.

Are you talking about the day the sale officially started or when it was first discovered? If you were there on Sunday the 11th when it official started, that was why there was nothing left, since the prices had been in effect since Saturday the 3rd.

Don't get Shellshock Nam 67' that game sucks major ass at any price I had got it from Gamestop during a buy 2 get 1 free sale it was the free one and was able to beat it within a day and a half because there really isn't variety to the missions in the game.

I'll take my chances on Sunday. If I end up empty-handed, no big deal, I suspect most of those games will drop to the $9.99 at other places sooner rather than later anyway.
 
I just got back from CC. Picked up Snowblind and Amplitude. The receipt is ready to be price checked :)

They won't update in the system until July 3rd, as that is when the sale starts. This is pretty much being handled just like any other weekly sale as far as the updates in the system, when it starts, etc etc etc.

So July 3rd is when it starts my fellow CAGers. :applause:
 
My Circuit City was suspiciously rearranged when I went in to check it out. Many of the titles that are on the list have been in this big "Value bin" in the back for forever, and that bin was now mostly empty. I though either the store had pulled those games to re-sticker them, or someone had come in and bought them all in anticpation for the sale. Turns out most of those games were back on the shelves hidden behind stacks of other games. I doubt the CC employees would have done that especially if they intended to re-sticker them later as now it would be more trouble to collect them all. I'm supposing that it was the work of some young person who knows about the sale, but doesn't have the cash or the credit to buy the stuff they want now, and must wait for the sale to officially start. Either way I may have dashed their dreams of a big score by raiding their stash and purchasing a couple ogf games for myself today. :hot:
 
i went today hoping to get my hands on the only 2 games that i want (baten kaitos and project snowblind) but all the games were pulled. i was even looking for the crappy titles, but they have been pulled to. i guess i got there one day to late. now i just have to wake up early on sunday to get a only a couple games that i want.

i've done it before during the circuit city winter clearance sale. just bring the game and receipt and tell them you want to price match the new price. give them the game so they can scan the bar code and check and they should be able to do it
 
I went to my local store today and they still had three copies of Baten Kaitos on the shelf. Hopefully I'll be able to get it next week. Of course, pretty soon I'll probably be able to get it from Best Buy for $15, so it's not a big deal.

But you just know on July 3 there are going to be about 50 copies of it showing up on ebay, the prices will hit rock bottom. There isn't much profiteering at all to be had from this sale. Not that it will stop hoarders anyway...

My CC hadn't pulled any of the games but you know what, I didn't get any. I am all for just letting the sale take place and getting what I can. yeah, $10 games are nice but some people just go nuts.

That's kind of how I feel. There are a few games I may go look for- Psi Ops and Rumble Roses for the PS2, and PoP 2 and SSX 3 for GC. Maybe a few GBA games for my son. Nothing I'll be broken hearted if I miss out on.

I think this is how alot of people feel.

I'll go for Rumble Roses and KoF: Maximum Impact, but if I don't get them, I can just wait for a K-Mart sale.

I really doubt hoarders are going to hit this sale up like last year... nothing on this list is very profitable.

Thanks to Shrike, who stickied the Pricegrabber rebates to the front page, making alot of games $5 after rebate, such as Ridge Racer DS.

I've been through the list several times and at $10 . . . I don't know if there is a single game I will buy . . . at $5 I would pick up 10 games. Of course I would play them and trade of them in.

Maybe Bloodrayne 2 for Xbox . . . Thief Deadly Shadows.

Then again, my store may not have either of those . . . their selection has gone south.

Last year's sale was a thing of beauty . . . this one has mostly warmed over titles.

Yep it'll be no big deal for me if I can't find anything from the sale. There are maybe 3 or 4 games I'm interested in, but if I don't get them, they'll all inevitably be $10 somewhere else in a few months. $10 games just aren't that impressive anymore, look what we've had this year alone - the 90% off TRU sale, CC's $1.99 sale, Best Buy's $5 games, K-Mart clearances, Gamerush double-dipping, etc etc. I'm sure most of us have a small (or large) pile of unplayed games we need to catch up on anyway!
 
The list seems smaller this year as well - I could have sworn last year's CC clearance list was hundreds of titles long...are these really the only titles that aren't selling?

Yup, not to mention the Buy 2 $19.99 games that rang up for $10 instead which was basically another $4.99 sale at CC and of course the countless other deals we have to thank CAG for. :)

For example, Rumbles Roses has been $9.99 at EBGames the past few weeks coming back almost daily. That is what makes this sale nothing too extraordinary. Every game on that list excluding 1 or 2 can be purchased for less than $19.99 and most of them are closer to $10.

Anyways, you are right about having a pile of unplayed games, all my CC games from last year are still sealed. :lol:
 
If anyone in the NYC area is looking for games, the store in Union Square has NOT pulled its games yet. As of 1:00 this afternoon, they had 3 copies of Baten Kaitos, plus lots of the other notables (Snowblind XB and PS2, Robotech XB and PS2, Spyro XB, POP2 GC, etc.). The store on 80th and Broadway, however, began pulling yesterday, so don't expect to find anything there. The guy there was cool and pulled 2 games out of the "hold pile" for me. Neither store had the DS games.

No, sale starts July 3rd.

And Meteos won't be at Best Buy until Wednesday or Thursday at the latest.. it dosen't even come out until Tuesday and ships tommorrow.

I agree wholeheartedly. All I'm getting is POP2, which I picked up today so I can either pricematch or return/rebuy after the sale starts, Baten Kaitos, and Megaman Anniversary for nostalgia's sake. I'd have gotten at least half a dozen more if they were $5 a piece.

Hopefully my CC pulled Megaman and Baten Kaitos from the shelves...I'll be pissed if I miss these two.
 
CAG has really spoiled us when we're passing $10 games, which is considered to be very cheap for many others...but not for us CAG'ers :p

Agreed, the PS2 version is the better one to get and I'm sure if you look you can find it for under $20.

I'm not sure how the XBOX version fares but I imagine its probably better because of pro-scan support etc.

Yeah, I think the other problem is that since everyone on the site is so knowledgeable about where to find games at the best prices, even at $9.99, a lot of those games are a ripoff like XIII which of course was $4.99 or free with coupon at Best Buy or Hitman Contracts on XBox which EB had for $4.99 a few times last month.

I'll probably stop by on the morning of the sale just for kicks, but I'm not getting my hopes up at this point. :cry:

i think that GH value program is the games with the great value sticker on them. i say some of those today, but i'm really not sure if those are it. we all just have to wait and see on the 3rd.

Exactly, I just put up my auction for Baten Kaitos 5 days ago before I knew about the sale. I got $26.50 for it plus the Brady guide :) I think I *MIGHT* just rebuy it and POP2 from this sale.
