glad I picked my games up during the week:
Baten Kaitos (still a few left)
Project Snowblind XB (last of the XB's but PLENTY of PS2's)
Bloodrayne (plenty for all)

I still dont see how anyone could ebay these and make money off of them... even Baten Kaitos, which had been around 20 bucks at alot of stores for a while now... I will head off to CC in a couple hours or so to get my price matches and extra 10%

Yea, i'm gonna be a bit worried if I show up and there's a crowd of people standing by the door.

I don't think SVC Chaos is going to fly off the shelf though, if there are any copies left in the first place.
 
Jeez, I should have gotten up a couple hours earlier! I'm still trying to debate whether I want to make the 45 minute trip to CC to pick up the 2 or 3 titles I want. Especially after reading quotes like this on Fatwallet:

whew, finally finished up checking ebayability of every single game. Took about two days on and off, but it'll be worth it. Ended up finding 7 games that I'll make $15 profit on. hopefully my local CC's will have multiple copies.

Man, I can't stand those Fatwallet bastards. I have a feeling they are going to ruin this sale for a lot of people that are just looking for a few games they are actually going to play.
 
Nothin' like the challenge of the hunt!

The ad only shows crap games that have been $9.99 or less for some time now. (Corvette, Cabella's Hunting, Ford Racing) The general public is pretty clueless unless they have been on a site dedicated to those with a budget.

Takin' off to Circuit City shortly just for the thrill (and $55 in my pocktet) Bringin' my 6 year old son as it is three per customer. 6 year olds are customers too! Hoping to walk away with quality games.

I have a feelin' that the Fat Wallet effect will take a full day. Their thread is only a fraction of CAG's CC clearance.

Hoarders, Fat Walleters and E-bay whores beware! Hell hath no fury like a CAG who actually plays his games!
 
I'm quite curious as to what the Ebay whores in my area look like in-person. I only want about three games from this sale anyway, so I'm going out in about a half hour to see what my local in-store sale looks like.

I sure hope they enforce the three-games-per-sale limit because that's really all I want anyway. If the crowds screw me over, I guess I'll live. :D

The text of the ad says "limit 3 copies per title per customer". They can't enforce any limit unless you buy more than 3 copies of the same game.

Random PS2 crap that doesn't sell. There's one for Xbox as well.

Usually GH/PH games that don't sell well, as well as other random crap that isn't GH/PH. CC normally stocks 'em in a cardboard standee in the games section, or an area of the game section that isn't mixed in with the rest of the games.
 
The value program games usually have a large sticker on them that says "Great Value" and all of them have a second UPC covering the first. The price tag sticker will also read value program instead of the name of the game. They're fairly easy to pick out.
 
I'm at the store right now. They still had three copies of Baten Kaitos, but I haven't seen anything else I'm interested in. I'll look around some more.
 
Yup going to work at the circuit city in wellington, fl at 1. We had most of the games on the list . Actually the prices took effect last night. I only bought 1 game though. Thats all i need.

THERE WAS NO HOARDERS WHATSOEVER!!! Just like I thought, none of them can make a profit on this stuff so they just didn't show up. As I got there, there were just kids with parents buying random GBA crap, I was the only gamer looking through the stuff.

The price adjusting went PERFECTLY... PA'ed two games, the employee didn't even bat an eye, just refunded me the difference.

There were tons of titles listed (I'm broke now, I can't pick anyone up anything), and nobody had the slightest interest in ANY of the games. They were more interested in the DVD / CD sales and sale on digital cameras.

If you are hesitant about going, don't be, there will probably be tons of stuff left, well into Monday.

Plus, they never found the games I hid in the "special interest" DVD section =D

My CC in Wilmington was the same way. I was the first one in the styore and they had a good selection except for the two games I wanted. Project Snowblind for the xbox (they had it for ps2) and Prince of Persia for GC. Otherwise they had nearly everything on the list.

My CC was the same way. I was the ONLY one there for the sale. A family walked up while I was sifting through the bin and remarked about what a great deal Rainbow Six 3 was ("You can't even get a headset alone for 10 bucks!"), then walked away.

Just as I was finised another guy walked up who was obviously there for the sale but other than that I had free reign of the bin. I got all but one of the games I wanted, and only because they didn't have ANY copies to start with!

5 games for $52 (including tax). Awesome...
 
I just got back. My CC didn't have any bins whatsoever. You had to look through the racks and pick out the games. There was only 2 other people there with lists besides me. I asked the one guy working there what happened to the bins and he said they never put them out... Ok, whatever. Anyway, picked up Project Snowblind (PS2), Samurai Warriors, and Baiten Kaitos. The only game they didn't have that I wanted was PoPWW. Thats alright, I still got 3 games I did want and Phillips 50 pack CD-R for $6.98.
 
I just got back myself, CC in Altoona PA. Only people in the game section there were a few employees from Gamestop browsing with lists-- Since I knew most of em I got to talking to them. Turns out that not a whole lot of people were interested in the titles that were discounted-- and these guys were here to pick up the big names (Snowblind, Katos...etc.)

Luckily enough, they took all but one Baten Katos, which I picked up-- and I also got a copy of Nanobreaker.

Nothing else really struck me, but It certainly wasn't nearly as crazy as last year.
 
Just got back from my Circuit City. Nobody was there. During last year's sale, there were angry mobs, but my brother and I were the only ones who knew of this year's sale in the entire store. The games weren't pulled or set aside anywhere special either. We just walked in, grabbed the only Ridge Racer DS off the regular shelf and the only two Rainbow Six 3s with headset and went up to the register. The guy was really surprised the stuff rang up for only $10--even he didn't know of the sale. So anyway, I made out pretty good. Thanks for the heads up on the sale!
 
Decent haul for me too. No Transformers or Thief unfortunately but otherwise I got every else I wanted. I even picked up a copy of Baten Kaitos for when I eventually get around to getting a gamecube. I thought long and hard about R6 w/ headset but since I already have the game and don't have Live, I passed. Lots of copies of most games at my location (Framingham, MA) including Baten Kaitos, Project: Snowblind (both PS2 and Xbox) and the R6 w/ headset.

Same here... I just casually walked up and looked through the bins at my leisure.

I did see a kid try and get PoP 2 for Gamecube, to which his mother told him "Mature rated! I DONT THINK SO".
 
Well, I waited to the last possible minute, but I finally front paged it.
I hope CAGs got the head start they needed!
 
This was incredibly frustrating for me. There was minimal interest in games at my local CC, but they had none of the games in stock.

I had checked there a week ago and had to assume they'd pulled the sale titles already (as they had none on the shelves), but as I returned today, they had no bargain bin and the same relatively empty game shelves as last week. (The clerk on duty swore everything they had was on the shelves.)

I saw another couple of guys looking for games, but they walked away empty-handed as well. I can't believe they sold out of everything over a week ago, so maybe I'll check back later to see if they simply hadn't put anything out yet.
 
I just got back from circuit city and got alot of games from the sale including being able to get the last baten kaitos.

I came away empty handed from my CC as well, but in the end I still have games shelved from previous sales so I'm not too worried about it. Wanted to pick up Baten Kaitos and Megaman Anniversary collection, but by the time I got there 8 guys were swimming in the bins practically. So for anyone who was planning on heading to the CC in the Holland, Ohio area it's out of Baten Kaitos, Megaman, and PoP2.
 
Just got back. Thankfully enough my CC pulled most of the games that were in the sale, so I was able to get everything I wanted. I would have been pissed off had I not already bought Baten Kaitos at the K-Mart 50% sale, as there was some kid there that grabbed both copies that they had on the cart. I grabbed:

KOF Maximum Impact

Not bad for 10 bucks each.

I used to live in Holland, OH, and the T-town sales were always full of ebayers/resellers. I'm finding Michigan to be much kinder to us CAGs.

Probably not. Was your store set up as the games in a bin or on the shelf. If on the shelf ask an employe since its either lost somewhere or in the back.
 
it's kind of funny that people were stressing so much over hoarders when other ppl were saying there wasnt very much profit to be had from this sale. everyone's been coming back saying the CC's were pretty empty in terms of people "elbowing and pushing" to get the games. :D gone to get my pricematch/adjustment.
