That is the price of the games, $9.96 -- It is advertised as $9.99 though. It is .96 because that means the product is being discontinued.... so thats how employees know.
 
So, me being the dumbo that I am, went and bought SRS yesterday just because I wanted to try it out and see the difference betwn that and NFSU2... and I wanted car damage too... and the SRS ladies will definitely make it worth the $10. :razz: Now here's my dilemma, anyone out there have an X2VGA for their Xbox? I went to Namco's site already and apparently SRS is only 480i and not 480p like the box says. So how does one play it on their xbox using x2vga?? Or is it not possible on my x2vga? :joystick:

Its an interesting game, I went back to CC and got it yesterday. The fighting is quite repetitive, and the controls feel sluggish. For example, there is a part where a bridge falls and you have to jump from rock to rock of its remains - you can really tell that the controls are sluggish because you can press jump when you are still on the rock and the character will just fall off into the water, never jumping at all. Falling into the water means you start the entire area OVER again. Its a decent game for $10. I'm kinda angry at it right now because I'm stuck at some giant octopus boss that seems like its going to take a while to beat.
 
The good news, my CC appears to have restocked clearance games . . . I was in a hurry but it looked like there were more games (not some of the gems though) than there had been last Sunday.

The bad news, they wouldn't take my BB $5 off coupon any longer . . . actually had a sign at the register . . . saying they would only take an original (not a copy). I wonder if this was just because of me . . . I used about 6 total.

The PS2/PSP coupon that wampa8jedi brought to our attention. CC is YMMV on taking competitor coupons, so some people tacked it onto their $9.99 game purchases and scored them for $5.

Thanks, Shrike. Oh well, I was hoping to use one for the GCN. Looks like I'll continue my abstinence from videogame purchases.

Anyone know of a cheap copy of Karaoke Revolution Vol2 and 3? I got the socom for duets, because the KRs with headsets seem to all be full price still.

I called and some teen said they didn't, but I bet he was just too lazy to go find someone who actually knew.
 
Well I'm kinda screwed, I finally find a Disney Extreme Skate Adventure GBA and when I get home I notice the shrinkwrap is loose and cut on the top and the game inside is Tarzan Return to the Jungle. I called and they said I could exchange it for another copy, but I'm pretty sure it was the last copy and the store is 20 miles away. On another note I did find a Konami Arcade Advanced for $1.99 so maybe I'll just live with it.
 
That happened to me with Stuntman last year with the same problem with shrinkwrap but instead of a different game, no cartridge at all was inside. I got my money back. Unfortunately, Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure for GBA is IMO nowhere near as fun as the console versions. The GBA version has a landing problem where you can't fix your landing position and you end up crashing. It's also more of a collect-a-thon, even more than the console version. I paid $4.99 for it at Best Buy and was dissapointed at that price, so unless Tarzan is really bad, you might have actually got a better game.
 
So far SRS has been the only thing I picked up from this sale. and I will ask my question again if anyone has a X2VGA for their xbox and quite possibly have this game as well and can run it on their x2vga? I hate having to use s-video or composite even.

Went to a Circuit City in Palm Beach Florida today and they still have a great selection picked up SVC Chaos, Theif Deadly Shadows, Shellshock 67 all for Xbox, and Project Snowblind for PS2.
 
Stay away from SRS especially on the Gamecube. If you need a street racing game wait until NFSU2 drops in price. SRS is just a stripped down version of that game with worse graphics. I just picked it up today and regret paying the money for it. Luckily FYE is offering 11.25 for it.
 
I have an extra copy of SNK vs SVC Capcom Chaos if anyone couldn't find it. I'm still looking for a Spiderman 2 if anyone has one.
 
I was able to pick up SNK Vs. SVC Capcaom Chaos, Hitman: Contracts, and Star Ocean: Till The End of Time (Big Box, non-gh version. God I love stupid cashiers ;))

Well, I don't know about the selection per se, but there are more games in the clearance bin at my CC now than there were when it started. Might just be a ton of the same games though. Also impossibly difficult to wade through them at this point too.

Star Ocean 3 being $9.96 has been a severe YMMV point in this sale. I've checked numerous times and it came up as $20.

Feel free to check if you want, though don't be disappointed if it comes up as $20.
 
If you want to be less than honest grab a game and just say it was in the bin... Thats how I got Soul Calibur II Xbox. However, it actually was in the bin and rang up as 20...
 
I can't believe it! I have been avoiding CC like the plague, so as not to spend money. I happened past there yesterday and decided to go in thinking, "There can't be anything left... What will it hurt to go in?" They had quite a bit left! I walked out with three new GCN games. I am so weak...:cry:


And now I hear Star Ocean might work? That's the only game I looked at besides the GCN games. Must resist going back in...

If anyone's intersted, they have four more copies of WWE: DoR. I was surprised that they had it. Especially since the website said they didn't have it for pickup there...

So, what did you get, since I'm guessing WWE: DoR was one of them? Star Ocean might be $9.96, otherwise it scans out at $20. Severe YMMV on that working.

I've always wanted to try a Potter game and I have never played a Tony Hawk game either. *gasp* Since everyone thinks it's so gran, I thought I'd give it a spin.

There were some other notables, but I was really only planning on getting DoR and Megaman AC. No MM though.

I liked XIII alot... it's kind of short, and the ending is a TOTAL CLIFFHANGER... which sucks because there will never be a second game.

I could be mistaken, but I believe I read somewhere about a sequel being announced.
 
My store has gotten several games replenished w/a 9.96 tag on them. It's a corporate-printed tag so this sale may go even longer than initially announced. This is just speculation right now, though. The upside is there may be games you're looking for that just might be back in stock at some stores.

VERY YMMV on this. I just wanted to let you guys know.

Went to my CC one or two days after the sale ended on Monday July 4, but the employees told me that it was over at that particular store. I did look around a bit and they still had some stuff that they put back out, and it still had the $9.99 sticker on it so I think that they probably would have rung up as such. Was kind of bummed out, but oh well, I got the majority of what I wanted. I think there might be some stores in my area that still have this clearance going on. I'll have to check some time.
