I've always wanted to try a Potter game and I have never played a Tony Hawk game either. *gasp* Since everyone thinks it's so gran, I thought I'd give it a spin.

My store is pretty much cleaned out... same multiple copies of the same games that were there the first day. But someone nicely organized it, thankfully.
 
I dropped by the Emeryville CA CC today to try and pick up SRS, they were cleaned out pretty well. Their bin looked like a pile or 30 or so games. I didn't think they'd have anything anyway, they're selection is weak in the first place. I'll probably pick up SRS at a better location.

I did pick up $1.99 copies of Cat in the Hat PS2, Frogger GC, and MX Superfly GC just because they've been there forever and I thought it was bout time I add them to the collection. Theres another copy or 2 of them too in case anyone wants them.

The sale is actually running until 7/31 so keep checking. It's company-wide so if you have a game scanned at your store it should still come up 9.96.
 
Just got KOF: Maximum Impact Collectors Edition with Bonus Disc for $9.96
at my local Circuit City yesterday
and noticed it is still online if anyones interested.
Great fighting game and making of the game dvd is nice.

The Walzem Circuit City in San Antonio just put out additional games on the list. I know I was not able to find Samarai Warriors PS2 when I went on 7/3/05. I walked in today and they had a handful of copies. (I was pleased I could buy it) Looks like they also put out more copies of SSx3 for Xbox too as there were a bundle of them. The employee said they did not get in new clearance games so they may have been sitting in the back to begin with. Hmmmmmmmmmmm
 
It's not part of the sale but I just found 2 copies of Halo 2 CE at my store today. We haven't had these since November. Distribution also sent us a $5 copy of NFL QB Club 2000--on Dreamcast! They must have been doing some cleaning and found it behind a box somewhere.:roll: I just wanted to share this w/somebody.:D
 
The local CC got in several more copies of KOF:MI, all came in with price tags of $9.96. So a few games seem to be getting restocked.
 
I dropped by another CC today, they had tons of KOF:MI so I may pick that up sometime. Surprisingly no SRS, can't believe I passed on it and now that I want it I can't find it. Oh well, I was sorta in a rush so I just picked up Rachet & Clank. The shiny box art makes me happy.
 
I picked up Gungrave:OD, Nanobreaker, and KOF: Max Impact... has anyone played these titles before? I was playing my cousins version of KOF and thought it was very... lackluster... >.>

Would like to know how the everyone's take on these 3 games before I...

A.) Return them since I haven't ripped the plastic apart yet.
B.) Keep them in then somehow pull off the biggest eBay take home... lol
C.) Break into Gungrave and Nanobreaker since those 2 feel like it's worthy to play... (damn itchy button finger) lol

It's just not, it's like Jackass f/ Tony Hawk. I'd pick up either THPS3, THPS4 or THUG if I was starting out.. but THUG2 is total crap. The Jackass/Bam Margera influence in it is WAYYYYYYYYYYYY too high.
 
Gungrave: OD is mediocre at best, horrible compared to lots of other games out there. It has 3 playable characters but too bad the game doesn't require that much skill and everyone plays the same. I would also note that the camera is horrible, very few animated cutscenes most conversations are done with still portraits, the voice acting is standard anime, the game felt too long considering there isn't variety in the gameplay. I bought it on ebay for around $12 shipped and don't think it's worth that.

If your CC has them go get Transformer instead.

Good luck with that, I went to 5 different Circuit City stores the very first day of the clearance (7/3) and ONE store had ONE copy left so I snagged it. I doubt you're going to find it, but good luck hunting it none the less. Maybe it's not as popular in some areas.

I just stopped by my local CC near the Eastridge Mall and picked up a Rainbow Six 3 w/ headset and ESPN NHL 2K5. They still had one RS3 w/ headset left if anyone's wondering.

I was at a CC on Friday night, and they had several copies of BK.
 
I went in to my local CC today, they had a bin sitting out with all the games that were on clearance. Pretty healthy selection out there. I snagged:

Monster Rancher 3
Silent Hill 3
Rogue Ops
and Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy

$40 - $5 rebate makes me a pretty happy guy. But odds are I won't end up playing any of these games for a long time :whistle2:( The last time CC had this sale I picked up a bunch of games and hardly played them...

I'm sure I'll play Silent Hill and Monster Rancher eventually...the other two maybe someday...
 
Well I just picked up F-Zero GX non-PC at my CC (Awesome game, BTW). Apparently, they have a bin for ONLY the PS2 clearance games and the XB and GCN clearance games are mixed in with the regular cheap game bin. So, in total, I picked up:

King of Fighters Maximum Impact Collectors Ed (PS2)
Nanobreaker (PS2)
Hitman Contracts (PS2)
Socom w/headset (PS2)
Prince of Persia: Warrior Within (GCN)
F-Zero GX (GCN)
Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil (PC)

-Beyond Good & Evil for GC for 2 bucks (I got two copies)

I'm still searching high and low for Baten Kaitos. If I can't find it, anyone wiling to sell me a copy?

i go through all my crap every 6 months or so and sell pretty much everything i have not used that has been around for at least 6 months.
 
I've noticed that some of the games are starting to show up outside the clearance bin. At one CC, SOCOM w/headset was sitting over in the normal PS2 area with a $39.99 (or so) price tag (and fairly clear evidence that the $9.99 stickers had been removed from on top of them). I thought maybe it had been pulled from the sale but since I already got one I didn't price check it.

Then today, at a different CC, I saw 2 KOF:MI sitting with the normal PS2 games priced at $29.99. These didn't look like they had ever had the $9.99 tags. I price checked one and sure enough it was $9.96. So maybe these were a restock and they just put them out with the normal games. So, if you're looking for something specific from the sale, make sure to check the regular shelves as well.
 
I've decided not to keep my Baten Kaitos and my Project snowblind for Xbox. If anyone is interested, $15 shipped for each one. Not looking for a profit.

Don't be such a jerk. No, not everyone could get their hands on baten kaitos. Since many places didn't have that many copies of the game. I only saw one at my store, and I came like 30 min after the openning. The guy is just doing a nice thing and offering it to anyone that wants the game.

Finally made it to CC, and was surprised to still find Silent Hill 3 in the clearance bin.

Found Project: Snowblind on the shelf marked $29.99.
Price checked and rang up $9.99

Wow. Yeah I have it but wanted to help out other CAG users that didn't. Since this place helped me find the deal, I didn't want to put it on ebay or anything. I was just looking to help someone out, asking for just the cost and shipping, no profit.

After not finding Lego Star Wars at CC, I picked up two games from the clearance bin: Transformers and Yu Yu Hakusho Tournament Tactics (big fan, not much else that I wanted in the bin).
