Hey all, cane across a new list of clearence of some slow moving games that are to be retagged and thrown into bins to make room for the falls next gen systems.
This being my first thread hopefully I don't mess anything up, if I do please let me know and I'll fix it. Now on to the list.

NOTE: All games are marked at 16.96 as of right now.

On the FF XI w/ HD, is there any other benefits for the HD (such as game saves) on the PS2 or can you use it on a PC or something?

You can transfer save files between a memory card and the hard drive. At $17, it basically expands your memory card size from 8MB to 40GB. It's worth it just for that. There are other things you can do but they are a gray area so I'll refrain from discussing them.

shrike is right, it's just a normal hard drive and is in fact manufactured by Maxtor. You can use it in your PC as long as it has an IDE connection. However it's not a very good deal for PC use, considering its small size. I also don't think it's very fast.

May be a non-issue, since CC "clearanced" those out at $35 back in Jan 2005. I doubt many CC's have them in-stock anymore

Mine has about five or six, but to ship them out would be quite expensive and it'd be cheaper overall just to pick it up at TRU. If it was a regular game I'd pick it up for fellow CAGers but it's a nuisance to ship.

Try my luck.

Went to CC today and the whole friggin game section was dismantled. They are moving stuff around. I looked around abit and said forget it. Plus a couple (well mom and son) that cleaned out a TRU that was closing down was in there. Why oh why do I always come in after those two!?! :bomb:
 
At this point I would say that the games would still be on the shelves as in my experience it takes quite a while before anyone gets to the markdowns and dumping them in bins, especially whenall stores are resetting the PST departments. As of what to look for I too would love to get a copy f RE4 if anyone could find one. \

WOW seems like everyone had bad luck.

You still looked on the shelves right? Mine had a horrible bin, but Mario Tennis was right there on the shelf and it said $49.99 but it rang up $16.89.
 
... I didn't find any games I wanted. I picked up Suikoden Tactics for $9.99.

I have seriously been searching for Mario Tennis for SO LONG, and I swear that NO ONE IN MY AREA CARRIES THIS GAME ANYMORE. Only place that has it is Gamestop for 44.99 used T.T.
 
Surprisingly didn't find anything from the list. Either other CAGs beat me to all the games or this time they were actually pulled. Picked up Pirates as trade fodder for the gamestop trade in deal. Not really sure if it's even worth it going to the Circuit City on Queens Blvd.
 
I snagged copies of RE4 CE and Mario Party 6 w/ mic at the Pearland, TX CC tonight (that place is always a goldmine for these sales :) ). They still had extra copies of both when I left, as well as a bunch of other games from the list. I may consider trades on both for the right offer, so CML...otherwise I'll likely hang onto MP6 for when I get my Wii and RE4 if I can snag another PS2 for a good price....

Edit: RE4 CE is pending out
 
Has even a single person seen the Halo 2 LE for sale? If no one's even seen it, that'll make me feel better that I can't find it (either through this or the TRU clearance..)

I haven't seen a copy either and I hit up like 4 or 5 Circuit Cities today, so your not alone heh.

Only found one Halo 2 CE between 4 TRUs. Picked it up for $5 and traded it to GS for $22.

lol, so what are you playing that's so great on 360? I've had my 360 since launch and it's good for gathering dust, nothing else.

Some people have no appreciation for old school. I still play my NES and enjoy it.

Why is it that no one is finding any games? I remember the $8.96 sale where everyone was buying boatloads. Are they just not in stock?

I had no probs finding Mario Party 6, Mario Baseball. The CC I went to had a buttload of mario tennis for gc.
 
Hit up 8 Circuit Citys in Metro Detroit today between 1-6 and saw a total of 0 RE4 Premium, 1 Mario Baseball, 2 Mario Tennis, 1 DDR PS2 bundle, 0 DDR XBox Bundle, 0 Mario Party 6. I don't know if employees scooped them up since the prices dropped on Monday, but these stores were cleaned out.

I'm not sure. I guess a lot of those games have had low stock for a while. I checked 2 locations in long beach today and didn't really find anything. I'm thinking about heading across town to the compton location, but I have to take off all the long beach -related stickers off my car lolz.

...and I would pay for your tix to the next HIM concert for a copy of Mario Tennis. OK, not really, but I would certainly pay extra and shipping for it.
 
Went to a couple of CC stores today, in Covina and Industry. The game section in the Covina store was all rearranged with all the former "cool deal" games dumped in a bin. I don't think there was over 50 XBox games left on the shelves. Mostly sports games and multiple copies of Aeon Flux and multiple copies of 50 cent bulletproof...(crap)....nothing that was on the list could be seen. Same with the PS2 section. Plenty of GH titles, sports games and not much else.

The Industry store was in better shape and had a few more games on the shelves...but nothing from the list except Godfather LE for XBox locked in the case with the 49.99 price still on it. They had a bin with about a dozen copies of Gun for the XBox and a couple of copies of Pirates left over from the June clearance marked at 8.96...not much else. I asked the manager if she had anything in the back still to be put out but she said no, "everthing was out" and that they were going to begin to retag everthing soon....So for me pretty much a wasted trip today.
 
This clearance sucks. There's a few good games, notably Mario Baseball or Maverick Hunter X, that I'd like, but not enough to pay $17. This site has ruined me.
 
alright here's my two day haul from a CC that looked like it hadn't been picked over at all for the past year.

yesterday's haul:
Half Life 2 - $8.96
Kingdom Under Fire Heroes - $8.96
Castlevania Curse of Darkness (Xbox) - $8.96
Suikoden Tactics - $9.99

total: $38.72

tonight's haul:
Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction (PS2) - $8.96
Matrix Path of Neo (Xbox) - $8.96
Burnout Revenge (Xbox) - $8.96
Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks (Xbox) - $8.96
Final Fantasy XI with 40 gig HDD - $16.96

total: $55.45

I have to say I was surprised to see FFXI HDD, it looks like the original release of the game and HDD, the box looks so old. Not sure what I'm going to do with it, I have no real interest in playing FFXI.

Nice. I'm going to check my Circuit City tomorrow for some of these. Especially Godfather, Mario Superstar Baseball, and the DDR Extreme bundles for the girlfriend.

Yea, but good luck finding them.

I thought they might be pulling them for a bin too, but the inventory system said 0 for all the games I looked up, so there goes that theory.

I checked 2 CCs tonight, and nothing was on clearance beyond what has already been sitting in their sale bins for the past few months, with the same old prices.

I believe you have to have them scan the game/item for the sale price to show up.

Interested, my CC was being dismantled as well. Perhaps the games did get pulled out? This can't be a coincidence

I was looking for DDR Extreme and the employee told me she saw it last week. I think I saw it on the shelves last week too but it was nowhere to be found...
 
What happen to the games? I went to 5 different Circuit City in NYC(80th Broadway,86,union square,atlantic terminal andRego Park) and most of them stores are wipe clean.The only thing I obtain today was ffxi hardrive,ddr2 extreme and baldur's gate for xbox.

You didn't read the post I made before that.

I first went to the CC 10 minutes away from my house. It was being renovated. They had the value game bins out, but no games in.

I went to another CC which was a hassle to drive to and they didn't even have a value game bin.

While I appreciate it I didnt snag any and the CC I had hit is too far from my house to hit. Only reason I made it by was because I drive for a machine shop and it was only 15 mins out of the way from where I was going today.
