NSMB jumped about 4% on Gamerankings today.

Unfortunately I'm busy all week, so I have to order online. Bah, so many of you will have it before me!

No it wouldnt. We used to have two TRU's here but the closest converted to a Babies R Us.

Anyway before I knew of this site I bought Mario Party 5 a whole week before launch at Toys R Us.

I went on my favorite board back thena nd broke the character list etc. i did it with a few more First party games at Toys R Us also. They always sold them early.
 
I just got back from Best Buy and they had both the game and guide out. This was the Toledo, OH store on Reynolds Rd & Airport Hwy. Be sure to have the CC ad in hand for some PM action.

Grand Rapids MI best buy on 28th had 'em out. I guess all the best buys have the boxes already, some just think it's a 26th release date, because of the website.

scored it for under 30 bucks. I am thrilled. amazing game.
 
I think I will hold off till Friday to PM this to Best Buy... If GR doesn't get this game in the first week, then I will give up and avoid missing out on a great price.

This is made more bizzare by the preceeding paragraphs, which praise it for being challenging, creative, and fun.
 
Anybody know what stores still do price matching? I don't have a Circuit City within easy driving...although there is one in the area. Same thing with Fry's (I think they have the same price). I know Target and Toys R Us don't pricematch any more....

Our Target had it this afternoon and my friend picked me up a copy while I was traveling back to school from Philadelphia.

Beat 3 worlds already... it's simply amazing! :)

I called my local EB and they told me that should have it in today at noon. I don't have the patience to wait for the CC deal. I need to play this asap.

Thanks for the tip! I was going to pick it up there tomorrow (Tues) if GR didn't get it in, but my wife was headed up that way anyway tonight so I asked her to stop in. She got the VERY LAST copy they had tonight at around 7:30 pm. Now if GR ever gets it in I'll just return it there, but no hurry now! I can take this with me on my trip on Weds - sweet! Better let my son play it tonight and tomorrow though :D.

While she was out we saw 2 commercials for it - way to go Nintendo!

They are really excited and keep running into my office to show me new things (they are 6 and 3 - my 6 year old is playing and the other watching). I'll play it Weds on the airplane. Update - my 3 year old just ran in "He WON THE WHOLE game!!". I think his brother made it to the end of the first world or something :D.

If anyone picks this up at CC in the morning, could you mention that specifically? I'm wondering if this after 5pm crap will hold true or not...

Hehe - I was thinking the same thing when I posted that pic. It definitely looks bigger, but the perspective on that shpt exaggerates it a bit I think :D. Plus he's a small 6 year old.

They usually get stuff in at the morning and then have to put it in the system, so it's usually not ready until 4.
 
Just call CC in the morning, hopefully they'll let you know. Thats what I plan on doing before making a trip out there anyway.

Summary: This game is awesome but it isn't as awesome as what I thought was awesome back in 1988 when I was 12. 8/10. :roll:

I love how everyone bitches about the death of 2D side scrollers and begs for Super Mario Bros. 4 but the second Nintendo makes it happen then it's not as good as the originals...
 
Anyone heard anything from a CC about whether its out today or tomorrow there? Everyone seems to think today, but in the Deals thread it mentions tomorrow at 5.

Called up EB. They gave me the preorders only comment for today's drop shipment, but i'll keep my fingers crossed. My store isn't getting them in till tomorrow.
 
Well I traded shit in at wherehouse.com to pay for this so I'll be waiting a while....hopefully I at least get to order it today, I'll pay for expedited shipping :p.

They'll most likely get like 10 copies and they know that people don't all rush out to preorder a DS game... they'll have it.
 
I was going to cancel my preorder at Gamestop, but they called last night and said my game would be in this afternoon.

Called a local CC in MN and they have it in this morning. They let me put a copy on hold so I plan on picking it up later.
