I concur.. only thing with AC is that the mobs you had to fight off got bigger and more of a pain to kill so that was what turned me off more than the repetative mission types.

Have you played Devil May Cry 4 or Ninja Gaiden II? If so, this game is a huge step back. 10 bucks is 10 bucks but there are so many other titles you can save that for in my opinion.
 
Does Newegg change prices every couple hours or something? Because yesterday I was going to order HotD 2&3 but the price went up to $27.99! But I just checked again for the hell of it, and it's back to $16.99. Maybe I was just tooo blown yesterday night but I'm pretty sure I saw it at the higher price. Am I tripppin or whaa?

Check your map for any vikings to rescue or enemy encampments to attack. When you free enough of your brethren, you'll be able to assault enemy strongholds and travel to other islands.

They usually ship the next day or the day after the order. They're quite a bit faster than Amazon's free shipping. Meaning, they don't intentionally delay your order because you asked for free shipping.

is it worth it to get the bigs if part 2 is being worked on? Hows the single player offline mode? i know they don';t have seasons but what do they have to keep you playing?

The Bigs is worth the $10 IMO. The single player is mostly The Rookie Challenge where you start out as a rookie without any stats and then gradually build him up and max out all of them. You play in either the NL or AL and go from spring training to playoffs (you play each team 3 times with different scenarios). The best is being able to steal a player from a defeated team.

This is probably a good pick up if you just want to get a feel for The Bigs before part 2 comes out. I'm actually tempted to pick up the new one when it comes out based on playing the first one, but I will most likely wait for a sale.

It's an O-K purchase for $10. I paid like $50 or $60 when it came out and was greatly disappointed. I wasn't a cheap ass gamer back then.
 
I think The Bigs is for people who are sick of these lame, convoluted, 'simulation' baseball games. I used to love baseball games, then about 7 years ago they started sucking. It's kind of a throwback, but I found myself enjoying it for many hours.

The Big is the only baseball game I ever even think about playing at all.

Every other baseball game is terrible.

really? cool im ordering now. I used to love the really old stuff on the nes, sports talk baseball on genny, and maybe mvp baseball? Haven't played anything in the past few years. Feeling that way about basketball games too.

Wow, kind of harsh to say all baseball simulation games suck. MVP was a great series (thanks for ruining that 2K), and The Show is a very good series. I guess, if you don't like baseball, or you aren't hardcore into it, then I would totally understand why you personally wouldn't like them, but to say they suck or they are lame is a little too much. That's like someone saying a particular shooter sucks, because he doesn't like shooters, and this one is just too hard for him.
 
I've played every baseball franchise ever made for the major consoles. I love baseball games.
And yes, I don't think they've added anything interesting in 10 years, that's my opinion and it's not harsh.
I think that Mvp and The Show are mediocre games at best. Of course when you compare them to 2k shite they appear good.

Once again if you don't like these boring repetitive simulation games, try The Bigs. It's a 'steal' for 10 bucks!
