Ordered Shadowrun for 360 and they definately sent me Shadowrun for ... PC.

*Edit* Went online, talked to CSR, and got a refund. So I come out ahead with a PC game. I guessss I could play the PC version :p.

Are you sure? I picked it up about a week ago and there were 20 some odd players on it. I think there's a peak time for the players to get on, around 6-8 here (Central).
 
I enjoyed Perfect Dark Zero when it was my only game at launch. I didn't think it deserved all the hate it received.

I received Dark Sector and Stranglehold today. I'm scared to put either into my 360 since I've got so many different games I'm in the middle of. Saints Row 2, Prince of Persia, Fallout 3, Braid, Quantum of Solace, Banjo Kazooie: N&B, Burnout Paradise, and want to start another Fable 2. I wish they could even the year out a little more so there aren't so many games out in october-december.

It's the Collector's Edition (PS3) version that comes with Hard Boiled. Looking at the picture on Newegg, that's not the CE version.

The Syphon Filter games IMO were must buy at full price. They're a relaunch of the series, and uber-competent in every way. I'd probably buy a PSP just for one of them. You do NOT have to like the earlier games. I hated the demo for the PS2 game, and got stuck on one of the PS1 games and didn't really like it, but the PSP/Sony Bend games are just incredible. I think Dark Mirror was probably one of the two best games of its year.

I'm not much for multiplayer (mostly will play on airplanes). Is Syphon Filter's single-player good enough to warrant a purchase, or is the real value in the MP? Never played a Syphon Filter game before...

I never played the MP, but the single player is EXCELLENT. Both games are two of the best on PSP. You will definitely get your moneys worth out of the single player campaign.

I've never played them multiplayer either. I don't care about multiplayer much at all, particularly for death-match-esque stuff.
 
I enjoyed Dark Sector enough to beat it. Some of the boss battles were very "throwback" (and had be scrambling to online cheat sites just to find out the weak point) but I thought it was fun. Not $60 fun, but next to nothing is.

I just picked up Strangehold. Wanted 360 (both for achievements and to pass along to friends after I play it) but it was sold out. Picked up the PS3 version to feed my new PS3, so, not too shabby.

They do have the Special Edition Strangehold 360 for $19.99... I know the Special Edition PS3 one includes the movie on Blu Ray, so I would have been willing to bite for that, but the Special Edition 360 doesn't have that. Ah well.
 
Just ordered Dark Sector. Hopefully I will have it before the weekend, the egg usually gets stuff to me within a day or two unless it comes from Cali.
 
Dark Sector a lot of fun...I only played a handful of games to completion in 2008 and that was one of them.

Those Syphon Filter games are a steal, as well...lots of goodness to be had there.

Area 51 is back up to $27.99, unfortunately.
 
Thanks for posting this I'm in for a Dark Sector and Project Gotham 4 for 15.99 I;m not sure if this is a great price on PG4 but it is the cheapest I could find. Loved both demos so I'm looking forward to playing the full games.

I'm determined to get them some good games. I can't have relatives playing NBA 09 like it's the greatest and only game ever.

While not a part of this sale, keep an eye out for wipeout pure...its a futuristic racer with no personal violence (although you can attack other ships with weapons on some races)...It was a launch game on the PSP and to this day, I still think its one of the stand out titles on the system...and because of its age, you can pick it up cheap....something like $7 or so at gamestop used.

Well, it's an FPS, so use your best judgment there. I guess it depends how old they are, but you're probably better off getting them Patapon, Locoroco, Crush, Lego Star Wars/batman/indy, Twisted Metal, Ratchet, Daxter, Crisis Core, FF Tactics, Jeanne DArc, Puzzle Quest, Hot Shots Golf, Ace Combat X, Space Invaders Extreme etc... There are plenty of other great games to keep them occupied on the system.
