Time for my semi-annual "Buy Zoids Assault" comment. It's not the greatest SRPG the world has ever known, but I found it quite enjoyable, and worth getting 1000/1000 on (requires two full playthroughs). One thing that it does very well compared to nearly all other games in the genre is that it forces you to use your entire team, rather than just power leveling a single character or two. I enjoy power leveling characters, but this one was a refreshing change of pace.... easily recommended for the price.
Interesting take... The reviews are just atrocious though... Hmmm... Well, I'll continue to think about it. In the mean time I did buy Marble Saga!

Received Eat Lead. The disc was loose inside the case but no scratches. The case has English and French for the description and ESRB labels, but is still NTSC. Perhaps Canadian? Not complaining for $16.

Grabbed DBZ burst limit. Looks like I could sell it on eBay when I'm done for the same price. Anyone know the TIV at gamestop for this?
Got my Eat Lead today! The disc was loose in the case, but no scratches :)
Same here, what is it with this disc getting loose in the case? :)

I got sega stuperstar tennis and live arcade. Superstar tennis is a pretty decent game, lots of fanservice. Easy achievement points for the most part.

Live arcade is a great value, but annoying to play. disc in the drive but you can't launch the games from the disc, you have to go to your arcade games. And the free month of live fucked up my membership. it atually took time off of my membership. microsoft has yet to get back to me.

Took time off your membeship? Wow that sucks.

Do you guys think Zoids is even better then Spectral Force 3? Personally thats the only SPRG I'm willing to pick up the 360 for $10 or less. I hated Operation Darkness demo thanks to the insanely bad camera, actually that was the only reason I passed on it. Zoids seemed pretty average, and I heard Spectral Force 3 wasn't great but at least very playable for 10 bones.

Wow my order is shipping already. Nice. Can't complain about paying 10$ each for Zoids and Operation Darkness and it shipping the next day or so

Are you sure about that? Are you looking at the membership level or the end date? On mine, it changed my membership level to "XBox Live Prepaid 1 month Gold Membership Card" (from "12 month card" or whatever), but the actual end date on the account is one month later than it had been previously, just as it should be. I used it a couple of months ago too, and my account is still active, so I know it's ok, even though the membership level is messed up. Apparently it just displays the title of the last code you used.

You can check the membership type and end date by logging into xbox.com and going to "My Account".

I've personally found reviewers in general to have been overly harsh on RPGs/SRPGs this generation... but that's just my opinion :)

As for the question someone else asked about Zoids versus Spectral Force 3, I think it's actually a very close as to which is better. SF3 is certainly the longer of the two games (I'm at about 60 hours, churning through my second playthrough on the slow road to getting 1000 on the game) and in many ways, it's also the more traditional SRPG--unlike Zoids, where the need to use your entire team caught me a little off guard, I doubt you'll be 'surprised' by any of the mechanics in SF3. If you have specific questions, I'm happy to answer them...

I think both games are a very solid buy at this price if you're a fan of the genre.
so for anyone who hasn't picked up Dark Sector, the 360 version is $7.99 now :)
I highly recommend Dark Sector especially at that price. very underrated game.

Well I finally bought Dark Sector. $8 is just too cheap for a game that wasn't supposed to be all too horrible. Looking forward to the single player campaign.

The copy of Soldier of Fortune-Payback I received included the little Gamestop card with the code to unlock the sniper rifle. Ridge Racer 6 had 2 manuals (english and spanish). Just FYI

Dark Sector is very tempting at 7.99 shipped. I've already beaten it on the PS3, but the game wasn't as bad as people make it out to be and the achievements would be fun to get.

Agreed, I don't understand why this game is so cheap everywhere I had a lot of fun playing it and would actually play it again.

just ordered Operation Darkness , awesome deal thanks! =D

Crackdown is worth every cent.

I paid retail for Crackdown when it was released and never regretted it; I had a lot of fun with that game. $10 is a steal!

Dark Sector is not too bad of a game, easily worth $8 new.

Thank you for trying, tho!

No dice on the code . . . It gives me the following message:
This promo code MEMKNURJUNE you entered is only available for specific programs.
Not sure what that means exactly, but thanks for trying, anyway.
ahhh sorry then it was worth a shot.
Did the email that you got it in list any specific items, or say anything else that might have given a clue about what it's for? I've found references to that code elsewhere in a Google search, so it apparently is a generic code, just haven't been able to find what it is good for (all of the references were other people saying that it didn't work for them!).

Anyway, again, thanks for trying. The effort is appreciated, even if it didn't work out.

Edit: Never mind about the other references, maybe, as they were all recently posted as well -- maybe they were you posting it on another forum as well? So maybe it's not generic after all. *shrug*

Got my copy of Animal Crossing (Wii) today in the mail and would check this myself but I wont be home till tonight.. ahh for anyone who has this game is the writing on the back in both english and Spanish with every normal store bought copy?

Thanks

Here's a link to the box art. Looks like there's some French in there too:

The important thing is the UPC code. If it matches, then it's good.

Ya, Crackdown is pretty fun. The upgrading requires a bit of grinding though. For $10 it's a great buy.

I picked up Crackdown from the Sears clearance bin recently, and I dunno . . . A few years ago I probably would have had a lot of fun with it. Somthing about it now feels really dated to me, though. I don't think it's aged well. It's ok, but I have a lot of better games in my backlog, so it doesn't get played much.

Am I the only one annoyed by NewEgg's shipping these days? Free shipping used to be their standard 3 Day, not this EggSaver shit. Now they're as bad as Amazon with their slow ass free shipping.
