Doesn't make any sense to me either. You want all your games to match on your bookshelf? Or impress people by how much money you've spent to ensure you only get non-hits versions? I'd rather get more games for the money (and time) that I spend, rather than trying to find non-hits versions.
Yes, I want them to match on my bookshelf. So what?! I paid $500 for a painting last month too because it looked nice! Should I not care if they put a hot pink matting around the Mona Lisa, or would you be cool with that too? It's always good to not allow yourself to be worked up about what other people like, don't like, buy, don't buy, and the reasons why they like and buy things. People are inherently different. Some dudes are fine dressing like girls. You know what? Good for them. I don't care. I wouldn't ever dress like a girl, but I'm not going to let it bug me that someone else wants to. We're all different, and that's what makes life interesting.

To your point, I actually brag how LITTLE I've paid for my collection. I'm not trying to impress anyone with the amount of money I've spent. I'm more proud of the fact that I buy 5 games for the price of a new game. It may look like I have a lot of games, but I've paid so little for them that I really didn't spend all that much money on my hobby.

Wow, maybe you should take your own advice. You're definitely more annoyed by my comment than I was when I wrote my previous post.
how is splinter cell for the 360? is it a good game. i've never played a splinter cell game before might bite on this deal. thanks for keeping us updated.
I think Chaos Theory is generally regarded as the best. It's by the series' original creator (Ubisoft Montreal, I think), while Double Agent is by their Chinese branch. They were kind of alternating there every other year, so they could spew out a new game yearly.

That said, it still got good reviews, and I picked up a copy. (Actually I accidentally bought a Playstation 2 AND Xbox 360 version.)

The (different) last gen version was pretty fun, but at least the PS2 version didn't let you save anywhere, so it was waaaaaaaaaay too hard.

I've been waiting a while for GRAW 2 to drop to a good price. Just ordered it. Thanks for the update!

In for Splinter Cell! I've been wanting that game for quite some time. But it's always hovered at the $19.99 price point. I was considering getting the limited edition for $6.99 more, but I didn't think it would be worth it.

From my personal experience, Ubisoft doesn't usually have great limited editions. I have the Prince of Persia limited edition and the Rainbow Six Vegas limited edition, and bonus material wasn't that great. Anybody know what would have been included in the Splinter Cell limited edition?

i'm not really sure what the limited edition has. what i do know is that i loved the poker chip keychain that came with the R6V2 limited edition :D

I hear ya. I've beat the game when I rented it when it was released and really want to play it but all i own is GRAW 1. I'll finally get to own it now for a reasonable price. Grabbed Splinter Cell while I was at it.

Special features:

COLLECTOR'S EDITION: Covert Ops documentary focusing on authenticity & realism of the game
COLLECTOR'S EDITION: A behind-the-scenes look at the making of the game, courtesy of MTC
COLLECTOR'S EDITION: Interview with Michael Ironside, voice actor for Sam Fisher
COLLECTOR'S EDITION: Multiplayer tips & tactics
COLLECTOR'S EDITION: Seven mini web films
COLLECTOR'S EDITION: Game Trailers
COLLECTOR'S EDITION: Concept Art Gallery and more

I enjoy owning special and limited editions but even with the small difference in price I couldn't justify the price.

i have the LE and the best thing about it is the box art. it has this pretty cool red green transition thing when you take off the red cover. i got it for 20 a month back, i feel it was still worth it especially since it was cheaper than the regular edition on amazon.

Dark Sector [xbox 360] has droped to $8.99

They've also added:
Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer [Xbox 360 ] for $12.99
MotoGP '07 [Xbox 360 ] for $14.99
Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball 2 [Xbox 360 ] for $14.99

i'll update dark sector. as for those 3 games, they've been there but i purposefully don't list them :p

lol, I just did a search on Gamerankings for Fantastic 4 ROTSS & Dead or Alive EBV 2 and I can't say that I blame you.

MotoGP '07 however, got an average of just under 78%. IMO at least, that's probably good enough to list. It's your topic though, so it's your call. Doesn't really bother me either way because I'm not a big fan of racing games.

Picked up Dark Sector for 360 for $9.62 shipped (Tax in NJ). IGN video review sold me....looks like fun for less then $10. Plus, trying to hoard money to save up for a new PC by mid to end of summer.

Also picked up The Bigs today (Came back in stock for 360) for $10.63 shipped. 2 new games will hold me over as I try to save for a new PC by mid-end summer.

just need a few more bucks off and I'm in for one...still waiting for the BIGS to be in stock...

In for GRAW 2 for 9.99, shipped. That's a tough deal to beat. Also, anybody considering Dark Sector for 8.99 should jump in. That's a good game and fairly unique for a shooter.

I recently bought Quake Wars from this and I can honestly say save your 6 dollars. The game is like Battlefield 2 meets Unreal Tournament which really does not work because one requires lots of teamworks and the other is a frag fest. It does not bode well.

Thanks for the information, bywaytm. I really appreciate it; and I agree, after seeing the contents, the Limited Edition is NOT worth it.
Dark Messiah dropped to $11.99
Really thinking about this one.
My son and I (8) liked the demo -
I'm wondering HOW mature is the full game? He's not sheltered and I expose him to probably too much, but I don't want absurd violence or obscenities, etc....

for ppl that bought Splinter Cell Double Agent! leaeve ur gt! so we all can play the multiplayer! :)

I'm two years too late but I bit on GRAW2. I loved the first one that came out and I'm surprised a third one may not even be out till next year or later. The game has sold well over one million and will probably reach closer to two million once all is said and done. The first one sold over two million but that was to be expected for a big title when much wasn't out during the first GRAW.

There's a month of Live packed in. That alone is worth a few bucks. Let's just say you sell it for $4 on here (I've done that a few times). Now, you're paying $6+ for the five games you don't have. Basically, a little more than $1 per game. It's an absolute steal.

True.
Does anybody have a good opinion of Dark Messiah?
One that might push me to purchase it?
I've read that it's worth playing on a PC, but that they did a lousy job porting it to the 360. Everything I read said to play the PC version, not the console version.

I got a new, sealed retail copy of the PC version for $8 shipped via Amazon's second hand sellers. Looks a bit more expensive now (maybe $12 shipped before you find a reliable seller that isn't just sending something in a sleeve), but still cheap overall.

They added some $9.99 PSP games:

Pipe Mania (this got pretty good reviews, everyone seemed to like but didn't think it added much to the old formula. I never played it, so I'm in on this one)
Rainbow Island
Xiaolin
Platypus

gt D23isME we should play some mp splinter cell double agent. the mp is not noob-Friedly at all.
