Don't know about 2, but I can help you with one.

Really, all you need is the Superbit version of Labyrinth. Remastered picture and great remastered audio in Dolby and DTS 5.1 instead of the original release's 2.0 track.
 
It looks like some of the stuff I have on my wishlist has gone up and some has (for now at least) stayed the same. Alias (S1) was $31.08 a week ago and is now $45.36. I'm guessing maybe the low price from a week ago was part of a sale that I wasn't aware of, because that is a big jump.

Strangely enough, one set on my list is actually a bit lower than it was a week ago: Rescue Me (S1) went from $34.86 to $29.87.

I'm glad now that I didn't wait to buy Lost. I picked it up when it released for the BB bonus disc, figuring I would take the few dollars hit from not waiting for this sale. This 11th hour price hike is really souring the excitement of this sale for me.

For some reason DDD doesn't seem to carry that one, so I'll just look elsewhere. Lately I'm noticing that a few DVD's I want just aren't available on DDD for some reason... off the top of my head I can think of Get A Life, DarkStalkers, and the Street Fighter II V box set (although they do have the individual SFIIV volumes).
 
If you guys notice these price "fluctuations" as the guy from DDD posted about at DVDTalk, then be sure to post about which ones it is. I already have said that a bunch from my list have gone up.

The only DVD I think I'll really get this time around is just Psychic Academy which hasn't increased yet, and is one that I can't find at any store (including Fry's)
 
I guess I'll just wait until midnight then to see if the stuff in my wishlist is still worth buying. If they try to jack up the prices on the titles I was interested in, I'll just hold off on getting 'em.

The Superbit of Labyrinth should be $9.99 at BB as is truly the better of the two IMHO.

I just checked the site again, (about 10 minutes after I last checked) and now Alias (S1) is listed as $34.38. It's all over the place. Also, Scrubs (S2), which had jumped from $27.89 last week to $31.79 when I looked earlier today is now back to $27.89. So that's encouraging at least.

I'm concerned that my Farscape: Starburst sets have vanished from my wishlist. Have to look into that, and hope I can order them.

I think they might be changing the prices, when you do a search they show up but if you go to the link it says not available. probably go up t0 16.61 like the others.
 
Da Ali G Show Season 2 went up by quite a bit. Can't believe I forgot to put it on my wishlist (could have sworn it was actually originally there), but it has gone up. It doesn't really matter anyway too much since I think CC has it for $17.99 anyway plus a free bonus disc next week (thanks TSD for the ads by the way).
 
I've never looked very closely at any of my wishlists like this before, but nothing has changed yet. In fact, one of my pre-order titles I'm saving for next week went down in price within the last hour or so.

Quite a bit of my nonmainstream/underground stuff has gone up as well.
 
well nothing on my $300 account killing wishlist is going up (so far). i hope it stays that way.

edit: i put that dvdtalk code in and my $300 order went down to $238, looks like ill had more!

I was, but it's showing at $36 for me ATM both on the search and in the details. Seems like they are bouncing it up and down. I imagine it will be $36 when the sale starts however. I was mildly considering picking it up, but DDD made the choice pretty easy. :)
 
I work for DDD and they tend not to mind if orders get placed a day early. There was that one time when the codes for the sale worked months before and orders had to be cancelled.

Actually spent 276 bucks....and theres more too buy sadly the second cardcaptor sakura box set doesnt come out till the 15th, same with home movies season 3. So fingers crossed that the sale will still be on. Once they send me an order email Ill post my purchases.

Still waiting to order the other cardcaptor sakura box set and home movies season 3 when they are released on the 15th. I also had the raxephon complete collection on my wishlist but for some reason it was removed and when I look at the item on the site its unable too view so I didnt get that as well.
 
What do you guys think of getting older, non-special DVDs (Usual Suspects, Being John Malkovich)? They have it cheaper than on Amazon or Wherehouse, even without the 20%. But maybe I could get it cheaper at a used music/movie store? I'm kinda hesitant about spending $200 after spending $100 at the Wherehouse sale...

EDIT: How about Timesplitters: FP, which isn't discounted, but $10 cheaper than anywhere else?
 
Ok, refreshed a few times and was able to get Firefly at the $29.87 price. Just $23.87 with the coupon.

Also bit the bullet and got Battlestar Galactica season 1 and a few UMDs as well as the Office Space SE. Yoiks, this is getting expensive. :) Oh well, I only get to buy DVDs once in a rare while, and this is a good deal for new, sealed titles shipped free.


Now just have to wait til next week to pick up the Scrubs second season and the Bret Hart DVD.
