NFL 2007 Season Thread
I'll say this much, this season has really been crazy to watch. Seeing the Browns and Lions step up has been fun to watch. AP running wild is great, the Pats dominating has been incredible. LT and LJ struggling early was unexpected, as is the emergence of Derek Anderson and the rebirth of Randy Moss. The all-universe play of Tom Brady...

NFL Football is just awesome to watch right now.
Lies!
Meh, the pats won't even get to the super bowl....
You Pats haters said that the Colts were going to beat the Pats yesterday too. What's up with...... that?

Uncomfirmed reports from Indy: Harrison out for the year?

Mark this as internet forum chatter/local sports talk buzz.

Marvin Harrison may be out for the year with his knee injury. There has been speculation that his knee sprain may actually have some structural damage. Colts have been mum on the subject as they usually are with injuries.

This, however, is in contrast to ESPN reports, as of last Friday, that Harrison was cleared to play by doctors. Keep in mind, however, that a knee injury suffered by then Colts RB Edgerrin James in a game against Kansas City in 2002 was deemed initially by the Colts as a sprain. James was eventually forced to sit out the year after having surgery to repair damage to his knee.

Further adding to the sleuthing/conjencturing in town was the Colts also handled an injury to Dallas Clark late in the season last year in the same manner. On the field, it looked quite bad and Clark was feared to be lost for the rest of the season and the playoffs, but he was able to return to the field for the Colts' playoff run.

The loss of Harrison could further cripple the Colts' passing game. Sunday's game against the Patriots had the team down to two available WRs in Wayne and Moorehead as rookie WR Gonzalez did not return to the field after going into the locker room. The Colts instead opted to go with a two TE set, putting Clark in the slot and having backups Utecht and Fletcher alternating as the other TE.

i read, on espn i think, that harrison might have knee pain for the rest of his career because of the type of injury he had, maybe well finally know what his injury really is now that the big game has come and gone.

Ooooooo Snap

Harrison is such a quiet guy on the field too :/

oh, also, i think the steelers are gonna pound the ravens tonight. at least i hope so, i need big ben to have a monster game so i can win in my fantasy league, if i lose ill be out of the last playoff spot.

Reports are coming in that Vikings QB Tarvaris Jackson most likely won't see action this sunday against the Packers.
Its not like the Vikings had a passing game anyway, but even more than before the whole game is riding on AP. Even if he runs for 300 yards it won't be enough. I'm calling it now, Packers win 27-13!

Man, I wanna say something about the Packers D, but I'd feel like I'd be jinxing it :/

All I can say is, I hope I see some INT's from the Dreadlock brodas n' Woodson. Atari Bygby better not fuck up like he has the past few games >.>
Pimpin losses. Htown, Cochese, pittpizza, and the Steelers win.
I was kidding about them being the worst team in football. They did lose to the cards though......
Everybody and their mom is picking the Steelers tonight over the Ravens. The spread is 9 points.

I am still worried though, just because they creamed us so hard both games last year. Its a different season though and tonights game may be a demonstration of how to exact revenge in the NFL, I hope.
I'm nervous as well, but as I talk to more people, my confidence grows. Pit has to stop BAL on third down and they'll lock them up easily.

My main concern is with the O-line, however.
Maybe someone will feign stroke on the Patriots 50 yard line after beating them...then you'll know what it's like when doves cry.
But nothing bad has ever happened to the Patriots, oh no. And the opposing team never, ever taunts or flexes. All that is evil and wrong in the NFL is the Patriots.

I don't know whether to be sick of this crap or to enjoy it. People are completely irrational when it comes to the Patriots.

Hey Boston fans, just enjoy the season and quit making it sound like the whole fucking world is after you. I swear, for a city with two World Series titles and 3 Super Bowl titles in the last 5 or 6 years, you're so damn insecure having to get in the mud and sling shit with everyone else. Last I checked, you guys have scoreboard and that's what matters.

well to be fair, from a historical point, they are shitty franchises and they will be for a long time.

Nothing wrong with exposing hypocrisy and double standards here and there.

If they have to invent reasons to hate the Pats, or reasons why they aren't as good as people think, thats all well and good. But if they try to argue the point, it should be able to survive a simple prod before it collapses in on itself.

In the future I will try to ignore these people, and be content with winning. Such as the guy with the 'shitty franchsies' remark, since it has no basis in reality. I'll have to console myself with the 3 Super Bowl wins, 2 World Series wins, and the championships yet to come as both teams are on top of their respective leagues. Oh, and the greatest franchise in the history of the NBA is once again on top, as well. Its too bad my Bruins still suck.
well to be fair, from a historical point, they are shitty franchises and they will be for a long time.
 Says the guy from Kenosha of all places.

I sure hope the steelers win tonight. Im getting kind of excited. Its raining like a bitch here though and the field is gonna prob be pretty sloggy. Its a good thing both teams have mudders.

There's a difference between celebrating and being disrespectful. Regardless it's a stupid arguement that I shouldn't have started anyway. Also, that video won't load for me.

McNair kills the Steelers.. I hope Boller plays most of the game...if McNair does the Steelers win 21-13 or closer... if Boller plays a lot then it will be like 24-9
Wow, beautiful execution by Big Ben. Now all he has to do is throw it to Holmes and I'll be ok in my fantasy league.
youre good

This is fuckin awesome. Did you see willy parker stuff ray lewis on his blitz on the TD pass to holmes? Well he didnt stuff him but he slowed him down just enough. Sick pass.

Silverback is a BEAST. Need I remind you:

Shannon Sharpe's famous, "Please Mr. President, call the national guard, because we're killing the Patriots." Didn't think it was funny then, but its pretty damn funny now.

I dunno, there's still the second half to come :/

On another note, what happened to McNair man?!? He used to run so much, he was so mobile and dangerous, he was on par with Michael Vick :/
Think age has something to do with it?
damn it i should had started Big Ben tonight in my fantasy league. I did start Brett Favre and Santonio Holmes at least.
All I can say is start Brett Favre next week as well ;O

RAVENS RAVENS RAVENS GO GO GO!
Sorry, If they win I'm tied in first for Yahoo pick'em :D

Oh well, at least Big Ben is on my fantasy team. So is useless Parker.

Holy shit big Ben...you've already gotten me 36 fantasy points...in the first half! Not that I need them, seeing as how I was already up by 20 with my opponent having nobody else playing, but I guess it'll help my season total points, in case of a tie-breaker :)
You Pats haters said that the Colts were going to beat the Pats yesterday too. What's up with...... that?
I'm not just a Pat hater, I HATE any team that's not mine! Just so you guys know.;) I like the Chargers , who have really been pissing me off this year.:bomb:

I know, I have to give it up for that AP is awesome. I hate teams, but I do admire certain players.
