The refs screwed the Wings again.....what a horseshit third goal. The Wings do NOT deserve to win, but they do not deserve to lose on a call like that.
First, the Edmonton player cleary hit the puck with a HIGH-STICK, then Hemsky CLEARLY made a kicking motion to kick the puck in the net. The refs blew TWO calls on one play.
As I said, the Wings did not deserve to win.....but that call was a mess.
There was no kicking motion. Lidstrom pushed him in and the puck dribbled off the Edmonton player's body, off his foot, and into the goal. I repeat:
THERE WAS NO KICKING MOTION.
Also, the high stick is meaningless, as it wasn't called.

ing Jason Williams. I will say this right now: his penalty pretty much handed the game to Edmonton. It was completely uncessary and gave Edmonton the boost in momentum they so desperately needed. I mean, shit, the Red Wings were playing GREAT the first two periods. They were playing how they should have played in the previous 5 games. If it wasn't for Rohloson (sp?), the game would have been 5-0 Detroit going into the third period.
I feel really bad for Legace. Being the golaie in Detroit is one of the hardest things in the world, since we expect you to be amazing every single year. He's a great goaltender who was great in the regular season (look at his record) and I really hope he stays on....as a backup. We need a goaltender that can win in the playoffs, plain and simple, and Legace, obviously, isn't that guy.
Of course, the Wings' shitty play didn't help anything. I blame this all on Babcock, though. The Wings had to go down 3-2 before he realized that their play style wasn't working. Stupid

.
Also, the Wings need a new grind line.
