For me it's not about the trophies. Why not give me these missions before the end of the game? Once I beat a game I just feel exhausted with it, especially one that took me over 50+ hours to beat. I've completed the ultimate goal, defeated the hardest enemy. I see little point in getting the best weapons, familiars, or finding new treasures.
Don't get me wrong I loved the game. Best JRPG I played in a while. It's just after I loaded up the after game save file I just didn't care anymore.
I'm with Rodimus here. Like the Conductor quests... parts of it were fun, but a lot of was backtracking to the same places (how many
ing times did I go up Old Smokey?!) and the reward was incredibly fun for a few minutes it but completely pointless by that point in time because you had a lot better modes of transportation.
Also io, if you don't think going through random battles over and over again just to catch a monster isn't overly repetitive or tedious, you must have the patience of Buddha himself. Some of those catch percentages are
ing ridiculous (6%?
that). Someone could catch a monster in his/her first try whereas it could take another person over a hour based simply due to chance. And lets not ignore item farming, which is probably equally tedious.
I don't mind doing some work and if the trophies are a challenge. Like Batman Arkham City was challenging (the Riddler puzzles and challenge maps) and took some work (the collecting). But designing trophies based on chance isn't either, that's just lazy/poor design.
