Guess you can call it a lazy port. Saw the physical copy @ BB the other day and even the title "Lacrimosa of Dana" looks rough.

People also wanted to crucify NISA for the horrible translation. It didn't bother me as much (it was always about the gameplay), but was warranted enough by people for re-do on translation.

Thursday is the main day for new releases and sales, and when the weekly press releases go out. Though, Nintendo allows publishers the discretion to choose any other day if they prefer.

 
Ok my dudes, I've put some quality hours in the peer recommended Golf Story and I can report back that it is a really fun game.  One of my favorite purchases in the last few months.  Thanks for the constant mentioning.

Played a ton of this game right when it went early access two years ago and I poured in a bunch of hours. I have heard it has gotten leaps and bounds better even from where it started!

Apparently there is a pre-order discount too, though I haven't checked to see if it's even on the eShop yet!

I am excited about this game too! It is on the eshop as a coming soon title, but you can't pre-order it yet. I think I read somewhere that the pre-orders will go live in about a week or so.

If you are at all into big story driven RPG's... don't overlook Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I have had some of the best gaming moments of the last 10 years with that game, Zelda BotW & Super Mario Odyssey.

Also, you will not regret getting Hollow Knight. One of the best games I’ve played in a long time. If you’re into Metroidvanias, might also wanna check out SteamWorld Dig 2 at some point.

Download the demo. I didn't care for the experience as a single player game. If a game doesn't make me smile, give me a sense of wonder, or wow me in some way then it's an easy pass.

Blaster Master Zero has a demo as well... that was a pretty solid purchase for me especially with the dlc characters from other games that change up the experience quite a bit.

I'd recommend spending a day downloading demos and playing them. Anything not on sale that you don't intend to play the moment you buy it, I'd wait for a sale. You already have around 200+ hours of gaming as is.

FYI: The other games from the publisher I'm not listing, I own, so I can't see whatever price they'd offer for owning the other stuff.

This might just be on the eShop itself since the site isn't showing the different prices for what is actually on sale, which makes this a big confusing to differentiate between them. The nice thing is that if you click on the publisher name on the game's page at the top, it'll take you to a page showing all of the games from that publisher to make that easier to find.

Did anyone else get De Mambo yesterday for $2? I'm guessing it was a year anniversary sale, but I don't see anything about it online.

I picked up Pocket Rumble, since its like $5 in pesos. Its decent, but probably only really worth it for local multi. Its not as hard as people make it out to be once you do the tutorial and understand what you are doing. 

But I'm really thinking about picking up some games on the Japan eshop. Is the best way to create a Japanese account? When I switched regions, I couldn't get my credit card or paypal to work. I'm looking to grab Sisters Royale, RXN, and probably Gunbird 2. 

 
I pulled the trigger on Ys viii, I'm glad I did it. It's a fun game and the first jrpg I've gotten into. But I wouldn't broadly recommend it for everybody. It definitely has some polish issues.

Just started playing it too and I'm really enjoying it, it's not perfect but definitely fun and keeping my attention.

Got a long road trip coming up and looking for a recommendation: Shovel Knight:TT, Hollow Knight, Celeste, or Lego Marvel Superheroes 2?

If you haven't played shovel Knight that game is fantastic. Hollow knight and Celeste are also great choices, haven't played marvel superheroes

Shovel Knight is excellent for short bursts, Hollow Knight is something you'll want to sit down and play for hours. Celeste is a bit too challenging for a road trip imo. Haven't played Lego.

Of the previous 3, I'd recommend Shovel Knight the most for a road trip. But ultimately you should just get all 3.

 
In case folks miss it in the other thread, Target has a Cartwheel deal for 50% off Rime. The price shows $26.99 on the website, $39.99 in store.

I was able to get the electronics associate to pprice match the website, then apply the Cartwheel deal. But YMMV. It seems some stores won't price match and then apply Cartwheel, while others don't care. I had never done it before,so I didn't know until I saw the other thread.
 
Does anyone have a recommendation on a Switch case that holds the charger? The one I just got has room but puts pressure on the screen when the case is zipper closed.

I don't have this one, but I LOVE my tomtoc case that only holds the switch itself. It is slim, has a hard shell, and a "nice" woven nylon-ish exterior. I imagine this one is just as good, just bigger to hold the accessories.
